Sounds like implantation to me tbh @Khanga27

Mrsspoon3 · 01/11/2023 23:22

@Khanga27 I had implantation bleeding with my last pregnancy that looked exactly as your describe, so it could be that! Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

FigandHoney · 02/11/2023 06:48

Good morning everyone

How is it going @Khanga27 . It could go either either. Could be implantation bleeding. Some women do experience it and sounds similar. Then it could also be spotting. My body often starts AF that way. I get tricked everytime because my hope is so high. Hope it is implantation bleeding for you. WHAT dpo are you now?

FigandHoney · 02/11/2023 06:53

@Angelsrose that is very interesting. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you @worldwidetravel2017 . I guess in the back of my head I am thinking what if the lines were so dark because my body tried extra hard . Don't know if that makes sense. So far my bbt has always shown ovulation so this is very confusing.

Still a but in limbo, as to if I have ovulated and if I did when. My bbt went up by 0.2C today which is good. But because it dropped so far the days before it doesn't sit higher than the last 6 temps. OPKs still light.
Sorry that I keep sharing this just no idea where I am at this cycle.

Supertrooper101 · 02/11/2023 08:00

@FigandHoney could the change of the clocks have effected your braclet bbt? Ive been adjusting my this week for the hours difference. Although my chart looks random as hell so dont know if your meant too lol
Am joining the fed up mood gang lol ttc shouldnt be this depressing. Its turned into rules and dont do this dont do that. A strict scedule day in day out just to get your period each mth and start the process again. Obsessing over google and before you know it 2hrs have passed and your even more confused and sad. Me, i think back to what i was doing january when i got pregnant and my other two and compare it to now. Other 2 i was younger so 🤷‍♀️ last one, normal supplements. Pre work out everyday before the gym and smoking. Now....sod all..... and no bfp... ovulated twice this mth too so think the perimenapuse is coming and its time to move on from all this....and get a puppy lol well actually one last battle with the consultant as my private saline scan showed 2 growths on the implantation site, that i want investigating. Thats another thing, nhs scan didnt pick them up, only a saline scan did. So if i hadnt of paid for that, i wouldnt have know.like 2 cones either side blocking any egg getting through. Thats what i think anyway lol i blame the d&c but there we go. 1dpo here.....again.....whoo whoooo .....needed a rant, slept crap and been bugging me all night lol

Khanga27 · 02/11/2023 08:14

@FigandHoney @Catson @Mrsspoon3 Thanks. I'm now 15dpo roughly. I put a pad on last night and it's clear this morn and when I wipe, but I'll stick with that until AF comes. I didn't get implantation bleeding last time, but normally mu AF just comes in heavy tbh so this is new either way. Not sure what to think. Not testing today, can't deal with the stress of it in case it is a chemical, just going to wait for AF for now

Have you tried tommys baby charity ovulation calculator?
Fill that in and seeing if thelr answer of dates is in line with those dark opks

CurlyWurly1991 · 02/11/2023 18:31

@FigandHoney Im sorry you have had such a confusing cycle. Assuming you did ovulate in line with the positive OPKs, when would AF be due?

@worldwidetravel2017 I hope you aren’t kept waiting too long for your CT scan results.

@Khanga27 I am crossing everything for you!

9dpo here and feeling the usual tender breasts, bloated, etc. Cramping for days. At this point I’m just ready to move on. I have my notes from my pregnancy 10 years ago (used FF then) and I had no cramping, tender breasts etc until about 16dpo. And no AF like pains. So that plus my borderline progesterone result makes me think there’s no point testing this cycle and just wait for AF and on to cycle 5. GP asked me to make an appt following the progesterone result because it’s not clear I ovulated but surely if day 3 is 0.6nmol/l and day 21 (equivalent) is 28.4nmol/l it’s got to be caused by ovulation?! Anyway I may as well get the test repeated I suppose.

Cressie2 · 02/11/2023 22:58

@CurlyWurly1991 your symptoms do sound encouraging and every pregnant is different so you never know.. a repeat test wouldn’t do you any harm though. Do let us know how you get on.

@worldwidetravel2017 i hope your results come back soon and can give you some clarity.

@FigandHoney that does sound very confusing for you. Have you tried the digital Clearblue? I can’t remember if you said you had or not but they are very accurate and may help. Thinking of you.

Today I’ve been spotting (literally a few red dots) and AF due in three days so think it’s on its way and have tested BFN this morning and tonight. I saw some kids holding their Mum’s hands tonight and felt myself welling up so need to shake it off and have a fun weekend to start cycle 4 next week.

I really do hope one of you gets a BFP on here soon. We all need some good news! @Khanga27 I’m hopeful for you that yours was an implantation bleed 🤞🏻💕

Khanga27 · 03/11/2023 06:25

Update- yesterday was also just very light pink discharge, but today seems to me more like red blood I think. I've done one of those cheapo boots strips and it seems to be negative unfortunately. I think it's been bad indent or chemical unfortunately, as I do feel a normal strip would have shown a little by now.

Cressie2 · 03/11/2023 07:08

I’m so sorry @Khanga27 and hope you’re ok. That’s so disheartening.

AF arrived for me this morning😞. I can’t understand why I’m not getting pregnant and back to square one again. Really sad about it as I’ve spent the past 5 months living the cleanest life (no caffeine, booze, all my vitamins, digital ovulation tests etc).

Today calls for a coffee by morning and a glass of champagne tonight, and lots of pate and soft cheese in the middle..

CurlyWurly1991 · 03/11/2023 07:41

Sorry to hear @Khanga27 and @Cressie2 that you haven’t had the outcomes you hoped for this cycle.
Hope there are some fun plans for the weekend ahead?
day off for me today and im planning to spend it on the sofa with the heated blanket!! It’s been a knackering week at work and I don’t sleep very well so very 💤 today.

FigandHoney · 03/11/2023 08:41

So sorry @Khanga27 . I would say it was more likely a CP. Because you had quite a few light lines on different brands. Seems unlikely that they were all indents.

@Cressie2 I am so sorry AF has arrived. It's such a hard journey. Especially when you are doing everything you can.
Honestly after trying for a year and a half with my son, I would say allow yourself some indulgences. I got pregnant the month I gave up and drank loads. But thats just me.
Definitely enjoy that coffee, champagne and cream cheese today

FigandHoney · 03/11/2023 08:47

Enjoy your day off @CurlyWurly1991 . A rest day sounds perfect!
We are going to enjoy bonfire night from our office which is on the 10th floor. They are putting on a family event.

FigandHoney · 03/11/2023 08:58

@Cressie2 No I haven't used clearblue ovulation tests this time ttc. I used them for a bit last time and didn't find them that accurate for me and very expensive personally.
I do think my cheapie test strips are working actually. Since I got two very blazing positives and then another almost positives. And I can track the LH curve going up and down.
It's just that my BBT didn't clearly confirm ovulation happened. And opks only tell you your body is gearing up to ovulation.

FigandHoney · 03/11/2023 09:14

@CurlyWurly1991 if I did ovulate in line with the first positive opk, and since it can take up to 36 hours, I would now be anywhere between 7dpo and 4dpo.
I have a 12 day luteal phase usually. So AF could arrive anywhere between next Wednesday or next Saturday.

@worldwidetravel2017 Thank you for the suggestion. Using it my opk was right in the middle of the suggested date range for ovulation

FigandHoney · 03/11/2023 09:17

This morning my bbt went up a bit more but really not by much. I am technically still under the temps of the previous 6 temps. However my opk is still negative. I keep testing just in case I didn't ovulate and my body gears up to it again.

CurlyWurly1991 · 03/11/2023 09:51

@FigandHoney thats really confusing. I have had anovulatory long cycles where I did eventually ovulate but I didn’t have a high Opk reading (I use cheap strips too, with the Premom app and find them good). Anything above about 0.75 on premom I consider a positive Opk and I remember your lines were strong. Of course your body could have fired the Lh signal then the egg wasn’t released for whatever reason but then you mentioned you felt like ovulation had occurred. So either way I guess you will know more by the end of next week. I’m sorry you don’t have a clear answer yet. I had a nightmare with my last long cycle and thought I had ovulated when I hadn’t - my temps were higher than pre ov but not much more so. Cue loads of wasted tests and reading into ‘symptoms’. It’s better not to think you ovulated than the other way round iyswim.

a general question for those TTC especially for more than a few months - how do you handle new clothes purchases? I held off getting anything new for work this autumn beyond a couple of cheap charity shop dresses but am struggling and need more clothes. Do you just go ahead and buy them in usual size? Buy stuff that would look more ‘forgiving’ or in a size bigger than usual? I can’t afford new stuff that I won’t wear and my weight fluctuated a lot during my last pregnancy and after the birth etc so am not sure whether to just buy it and stuff the consequences or what.

FigandHoney · 03/11/2023 10:37

@CurlyWurly1991 Yes I got a 1.05 reading on premom. Ans last cycle I only got a 0.61.
But I don't know if smthg prevented ovulation from actually occurring. My vitamins or new exercise routine. Or just stress at work. I just need to give it more time and I guess I will find out.
Did you ever end up ovulating that cycle? Did ou continue resting with opks? Did they get darker?

In terms of your clothes question it's not a simple one.
In my mind I continue to live as normal until I am pregnant because I simply don't know how long it will take.
You most likely will need some maternity clothes (at least trousers) for those last months of the pregnancy. I was huge with my son. Noway would I have been able to wear clothes that big before I was pregnant. Plus you will need tops to allow you to breastfeed. If that's what you are planning to do. Mine double up for both pregnancy and Breastfeeding.
So what I am trying to say is you will most likely need to buy specific clothes. And after you are done with Breastfeeding and your body is back to normal you can slip back into your normal clothes.
Kids aren't cheap anyway. So maternity clothes will be the smallest of your expenses. There is some cheap stuff online.
And I kept my maternity clothes for future pregnancy. So also depends on if you are wanting to have more.
Anyway that's my opinion.

Hey -
Asked with care & obviously can be ignored but dya mind me asking how old you are ? Have you tried coq10 to improve egg quality?
Have you read it starts with an egg ?
It can take up to a year for over 35s.
A dr told me best thing i could do to help was lose some weight - & that's even tho we concieved the 2nd cycle trying but was then early miscarriage

Be kind to youself

Im pretty sure you ovulated
We werent sure if i was ovulating but then concieved and had early miscarriage
It can take 9 - 12 months for over 35s

How long have u been trying ? & have you disccussed with dr ?

CurlyWurly1991 · 03/11/2023 11:36

Thanks @FigandHoney and @worldwidetravel2017 re the clothes.
I’ve had some bad experiences with vinted lately - stuff got lost in post - refunded but disappointing. Happened twice as a seller and buyer.
@FigandHoney good point about mat clothes. I remember buying a few things with my daughter but those are mostly gone (10 years ago!) although one nice dress I lent a friend.
I know there are lots of costs that will come… hence not wanting to spend on clothes now that only be good for a few weeks or months. I guess it’s like many things - booking holidays etc when not sure when you might conceive. Can be really hard to put your life on hold. I guess I can always sell stuff if I do fall pregnant and that’ll be the least of my worries anyway 😜

FigandHoney · 03/11/2023 11:43

@worldwidetravel2017 Yes. I am just going to assume I ovulated. But still testing with opks just in case there is a second LH surge. Wouldn't want to miss it.
So far we are only on our 3rd cycle ttc our second baby. It took 1 1/2 years to get pregnant with my son. And I literally had no CP or miscarriage in that time.
So I am aware we are still very early in this process.
Last time I did start getting tests done and everything came back "normal" although I never got to see any of the results.
I have requested bloodworm and an ultrasound fairly recently because of fatigue and very heavy periods.
The HP again said everything is normal.
I requested to see the results. They have not yet stated the bloodworm. But they did send me the findings of the ultrasound. It stated that my "myometrium appears heterogenous. However, no obvious
fibroid seen. The endometrium measures approximately 8mm and shows a heterogenous echotexture". This had me worried so I pushed further but they just reiterated that "the scan shows nothing that requires further investigations or treatment". So I sm unsure if I should keep pushing. I don't like what Google has to say about it

Regarding the heavy periods - have you had your feretin checked? I think we maybe talked about this before.

3 cycles in is pretty early so it may just be time

Blood tests should definitely show on nhs app -
