Doh, forgot about my bible the electronic medicines compendium;

this is the home page

if you put co-dydramol in the search box top let and click go, it will bring up the product in the bottom pane. click on the link and scroll down to pregnancy section and it says not to take it during pregnancy....sorry.

lardylumps · 12/03/2008 12:53

Ok I will not take the Ibuprofen then thanks ladies for you help. Of to the chemist then!!

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 12:54

They gave me co-dydramol whilst I was pregnant with DS2, for the irritable uterous... good job I only took it the once and realised it was that that made me feel so, ahem, stoned.....

Would recommend putting that link into your favourites list - its fab for looking stuff up.

LL - perhaps you could ring your surgery and ask your doctor to give you a call before taking any of them and updating them on your situation, then you won't be worrying yourself unnecessarily or having to take time out to go and see the doctor when it all might be fine.

Hope that helps? x

lardylumps · 12/03/2008 13:01

I have called them and they are calling me back at 3:00, I am so stupid I should of said while there.

Right dd lunch, I will catch up with you all later!!

calsworld · 12/03/2008 13:01

NJ - have you ever had 'neat' codeine as its probably this part of the co-dydramol that makes you feel, erm, high?

I get sick on morphine...we told the labour ward this so they gave me an anti-emetic injection at the same time as my pethidine and supposedly made me a special cocktail for my emergency cs but still puked on the delivery table! Nice!

kayzisbroody · 12/03/2008 13:03

I retract my statement from last night.

By kayzisbroody on Tue 11-Mar-08 21:19:21

Im now watching Most Haunted and crapping myself. If it was on during the day I wouldn't be scared. Also the blooming wind doesn't help with the nerves.

I am watching my Most Haunted dvds as there is nowt on tv and I just scared myself silly when Yvette Fielding screamed!!!

calsworld · 12/03/2008 13:08

Kayz you are a numpty!

kayzisbroody · 12/03/2008 13:09

I know, dh and ds laughed at me.

I have been watching it since it started years ago and it still scares the poop out of me.

Even episodes that I have watched 100's of times scare me.

pinkgirl30 · 12/03/2008 13:27

pinkgirl30 · 12/03/2008 13:27

oh dear not bust meant busylol

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 13:47

Nope don't think I have had codeine, though will remember that for if they ever tried to give me it!

Pethedine, bleurghhhhhhhhhhhh hate that stuff with a passion. Would rather have no pain relief at all than that again. Well in fact I did have none at all instead of that! (4 puffs of gas and air don't count as pain relief!!! )

PMSL Kay, I am the same, will sit and watch anything scarey with DH with me, and I'm fine, but if I am on my own, noooooooo way, don't even know why, even when I tell myself it's only on telly, it's not real (y'know the type of stuff you say to 5 years old who've had a bad dream?!!) I still crap myself! And I don't know why it doesn't bother me when DH is here.... if there was ever something in our house, I would be the one with the baseball bat at the ready while DH is hiding upstairs under the bed!

OP posts:
calsworld · 12/03/2008 13:48

pinkgirl - woah there with the bold! never seen so many smilies! you must be feeling optimistic today.

lol at bust! this thread will be bust soon! thought we were starting afresh?

calsworld · 12/03/2008 13:49

NJ - Don't laugh - DH actually has got a bat under the bed!!

calsworld · 12/03/2008 13:50

And speaking of bed...I'm off to mine. Not sure how I'm going to cope at work being awake all day...see, no pg symptoms whatsoever here .

See you later guys! x

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 13:51

PMSL, secretly of course...!

My sister and her DP go to bed with a knife under the matress.... I wouldn't mind but neither one of them would know what to do with it if they were ever confronted with someone in the house...! Bloody softies the pair of them!

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 13:52

Ooooo, sore boobs, tiredness, no period, any more????

Have a good kip, back to wrapping for me, my poor bum, it's as flat as a pancake....

OP posts:
calsworld · 12/03/2008 13:56

Crikey - a knife! Umm, think I'd be worried about that! I'm not even sure where the bat came from.

We got raided by the police once at about 4 o'clock in the morning (this is my party story but I'll keep it brief ). My car had been cloned and used as a getaway vehicle in an armed robbery. They traced it back to me (my number plate) and think the fact that DH has a gun license may have accounted for the 2 CID inspectors, and about 8 pc's patrolling my house and lining the street!

Luckily, they quickly realised that this bird was not the one they were looking for when she opened the door in her winnie the pooh pj's, shaking in her slippers, thinking someone must have died.

DH's gun isn't kept on the property though - its at his dad's as he has a proper cabinet. (Its a rifle for game shooting btw)

Not sure how that related to bats under bed but anyhoo....

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 14:03

Blimey, I bet your neighbours were loving it!!

Poor you though, can imagine how scary that must have been!

OP posts:
BeMyLilBaby · 12/03/2008 14:08

Cor cals you lil criminal eh?? those Pooh PJs were just a cover eh?! lol

im the same as you guys, can watch scary stuff with ppl, and enjoy it, but not alone!

Im weird cos i actually feel safer in our lil terraced house as the only point iof entry is the front door unless you either of our neighbours or the woman who backs onto us lol

Still double lock the door at night tho lol

i posted a nice story in chat if anyones bored xx

lardylumps · 12/03/2008 14:58

docters have said if i am pregant then i can only take paracetamol.

Gutted i know they will not be strong enough.

Of to chemest now to buy some week crappy paracetamol...

BeMyLilBaby · 12/03/2008 15:22

So LL have i missed something, are you PG? x

kayzisbroody · 12/03/2008 15:25

My ickle baby is so clever. He just picked up his Winnie the Pooh teddy and said "Pooh"

Awww, then he dropped him and said "Uh Oh"

AWWWWWW

Sorry normal service is now resumed after gooey mummy act.

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 15:45

BB, LL is on the 2ww, I think.....

Awww Kay (why do I always hav an inkling to call you Kaz?!), they are so cute at this age

LL, I hope the paracetamol will at least take the edge off the pain, can't be much fun. Though, I think it has already been said, the baby doesn't actually share a blood system with you yet, so if it get's too bad to handle, take some thing a bit stronger. I don't mean gallons of my alcohol!!

Mmmmm gallons of alcohol..... Is it bar time yet?

OP posts:
kayzisbroody · 12/03/2008 15:48

I know, he has a fasination(sp) with labels like on teddies or clothes at the minute.

Surely its bar time.

I have bought some orange juice and cranberry juice so I can have a sex on the beach tonight.
