Starshinetiger · 12/03/2008 10:51

Poor you and Hugo, LG&T. Everyone seems to have that at the mo, but is no fun at all being housebound.
I've got a famous person's autograph!

kayzisbroody · 12/03/2008 10:57

Poor Hugo!

Can you divorce MIL's?

Mine is horrible, she keeps being nasty about us going to London.

calsworld · 12/03/2008 11:18

Kayz...she's just jealous, ignore her. You deserve a break!

Mine's mostly OK, her heart is in the right place and she adores both DH and DS. Mostly she ignores me as much as possible - including when I'm giving her instructions on how to look after DS.

She also has this really, really annoying habit of saying things to DS that put me in a negative light - I know he won't take any notice, but its the fact that she does it all that bothers me. Things like, "you're not tired are you, what does mummy know" as he's collapsing on the floor with exhaustion or "wicked mummy to take that glass/battery/the dog away so that you can't smash/eat/batter it"
etc etc.

However - she does get FIL to do LOADS to help us out round the house and garden, always brings the most wonderful steak pies for lunch when they come to visit and makes sure I get to do nothing whenever I'm here or there so that she can get max time with DS.

MIL's eh! They wouldn't be without us you know!

Just contemplating between having a last indulgent day of doing bugger all, or actually getting off my backside and doing something useful - like all the washing and cleaning that still need doing...

And I haven't been to the doctor's yet - got sidetracked - best go now or they'll close.

calsworld · 12/03/2008 11:19

LG&T - his legs hurt? oh bless, he did try! Soo much sympathy coz there's so little you can do except chase them with bowls and towels - at least that's how it goes here. That said, once DS has been ill he normally collapses so said towels are normally all over me! Hope your day gets better.

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 11:25

Blardy hell, thought I'd posted before about going to wrap pressies, the post was still waiting to be sent when I just came back!

Have wrapped some, but I got a hard arse so have come to let it plump back into shape before hitting the floor again. I farking hate curly ribbons, bows, wrapping paper, scissors, selotape, everything to do with wrapping!

Have got him a card though from DS2 It says 'Happy birthday Thomas' on the front and when you open it it sings "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy to Thomas, happy birthday to you" How cool is that? He is gonna love it

Star, shushhhhh, I am cleary on the wagon, look>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

LG&T poor Hugo bring on the (non-fictational) sun I say, get rid of the bugs for a while. Hope he get's over it quickly.

We getting a new thread then or what?!!

calsworld · 12/03/2008 12:19

Ooooh that's soooo coool. Now I definitly want to come to your house for a party!! No wonder you're excited about giving him his presents. He's a very lucky little boy!

I couldn't help browsing round the site - there's a fab playhouse with camouflage decoration - I've sent a link to DH to ask if he can build one for DS and he says yes! Perhaps will have to get some grass out there first, but its good to have plans!

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 12:25

I always wanted a proper play house like that when I was little! I mean realy really really wanted one! I got a dolls house.... not quite the same thing!!

Well I can really reccomend the site for anyone who is looking to buy anything, only ordered it night before last, P&P is free over £99, and they use parcel line for delivery, so shouldn't be too many cock ups that way.

OK in the summer, once DH has done the gardens, you can all come for a party Hows about that?

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 12:25

Afternoon ladies hope you are all well. I will catch up with all your posts later as I am in a rush but just wondered if any of you have any medical knowledge?

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 12:38

Limited medical knowledge, about a limited number of things..... In fact, no, not got much medical knowledge at all LOL What's up though, let's see if we can help.

lardylumps · 12/03/2008 12:40

Went to docs today re rib and have been given two lots of tablets. They are:

Co-Dydramol and Ibuprofen 400mg, are they ok to take????

lardylumps · 12/03/2008 12:41

I should of told the docs but just really need something for the pain it has got so bad. THey think i could of cracked the rib

NatalieJane · 12/03/2008 12:44

Yes.

The co-dydramol is paracetamol based, it is fine to take paracetamols and ibuprofen together.

The co-dyramol might give you you some funny side effects though, it made me dizzy, really thirsty, felt really, well like in my mispent yoof smoking greens (t'was only about 3 times)

OP posts:
MoosMa · 12/03/2008 12:45

You can't take take Ibuprofen if you're preg, not sure about the other one.

calsworld · 12/03/2008 12:46

Only thing to beware of LL is that you shouldn't take ibuprofen when your are pg...not sure why though...hold on will do some other checks....

kayzisbroody · 12/03/2008 12:47

Hello,

Just been to get some shopping, bloody freezing and windy outside.

LL they should be fine as long as you are allegic to co-dydramol like me. It makes me very very sick.

calsworld · 12/03/2008 12:49

I have always use babycentre.co.uk for pregnancy stuff in the past..I did a quick look up, if you scan to the bottom of this page you will see a reference about ibuprofen.

kayzisbroody · 12/03/2008 12:51

I meant to say as long as you aren't allegic
