I'm currently TTC following a miscarriage at 12 weeks on 5th August. I haven't had a period yet but we decided not to wait, as I'm desperate to be pregnant again and I think that is the only thing that will make me feel better about the loss. I have been tracking ovulation and did catch my peak so now just hoping I've got the timing of DTD right.

Just wondering if anyone out there TTC is around the same time in their cycle so that we can chat to each other really. I think I'm already driving my husband mad, it would be nice to speak to other people who really understand how I'm feeling! 😊

Ha! @Kewchoc has baby brain already 😁

How are you doing @Agathapoirot ? Did you decide about the early scan?

@moosey89 not out until the witch arrives!! And good news re: ovulating. Have your doctors said anything about trying Clomid to see if that gives things a boost?

And thanks everyone, hoping this one sticks around - research does show that a new pregnancy within six months of a loss is more likely to be successful.

Agathapoirot · 01/11/2023 13:53

@Amberellalina Ive got one booked for Sunday when I should be just over 7 weeks, feeling more anxious about it then I expected, but it will be good to know if things are as expected!

Kewchoc · 01/11/2023 20:28

@Agathapoirot oh that's good that you're not feeling too bad 😊 I bet you're so excited for your scan? It seems to be a very lucky group doesn't it!

@Amberellalina Hahaha, think I've had baby brain since I was pregnant with ds and it just never left! 🤣 infact Ive just noticed that I also tagged the completely wrong person in my other post too... christ!! @moosey89 I meant to tag you in my second to last message and not crazydogladie, but evidently I have just lost the bloody plot today!

I have also read about the risk of miscarriage reducing (quite significantly) if you conceive again with in that time frame. Hopefully that means the odds are really in our favour 😊

@Amberellalina I've got a private fertility appointment this month, only 2 more weeks to wait! Definitely going to ask them about that. And miscarriage clinic is end of the month too so it's all systems go. And just to top off a busy medical month I've got my long awaited ADHD assessment too! Definitely going to try and take it easy outside all the medical appointments 🙈

tlw14 · 02/11/2023 10:08

@Kewchoc @Amberellalina How are you both getting on?? Have you done any more tests?

I did a pink dye test, only a cheap one, literally one pound. I got a faint line but i am worried it is too faint.. i am either 13dpo or 14dpo today. My period would of been due tomorrow i think..

Honestly i am just really paranoid about having another miscarriage now..

Kewchoc · 02/11/2023 10:28

@tlw14 OH MY GOSH! congratulations! I can't believe what a lucky month this is turning out to be!

I think that looks like a great line for where you're at, plus if the rest was only £1 it's probably a bit crap anyway! Are you going to buy some better tests today? I am sure you will get a more clear positive on a digital 😊

I do understand the anxiety, I think it's probably to be expected, but currently there is absolutely no reason for another miscarriage to happen xx

Also yes did another test this morning and it's much clearer (although definitely fainter than yours)

@Kewchoc That looks fab!!!! So excited for us all.

Really hoping this little one sticks around!

I have a weeks indicator one left.. will probably try and save that until sunday morning though and hopefully get my 2-3 weeks then. Knowing myself i will buy another pink dye one to do then too.

Do you have any symptoms at all? I have like achey boobs, more like tingly. I remember with my little boy they used to feel so so sore and almost bruised like.

emmatcc1 · 02/11/2023 10:37

@tlw14 for a cheap test I think that’s a good line.

Amberellalina · 02/11/2023 10:37

@tlw14 I took a pound shop test last time I was pregnant and it came out like that - I then did a normal ClearBlue and got a dye stealer 😂

If you're worried then just go out and get another CB digi - the peace of mind will be worth the ££!

I did another easy@home this morning; it was darker than yesterday but given the hcg doubling time is two days I'm waiting for tomorrow to make a proper comparison with my 'spare' frer😊

Agathapoirot · 02/11/2023 10:49

Does this make them all July babies? So exciting 🤩

tlw14 · 02/11/2023 10:50

@emmatcc1 I am hoping so.. going to retest in a few days time as hcg should of increased by then.

@Amberellalina I have done a digital and it still says 1-2 weeks.. i should be ticking over to 2-3 weeks soon so will retest on Sunday i think and compare lines/digitals then.

emmatcc1 · 02/11/2023 11:17

@tlw14 I knew a girl on here who had a very slow rising hcg. Even after af was due she still had light positives like yours but still carried out a healthy pregnancy. Did you check how sensitive the test is?

Kewchoc · 02/11/2023 12:43

@tlw14 Sorry, I've just realised that I got people mixed up yet again 🫠 but it sounds like you have a good plan. When my sister was pregnant with my niece, she didn't even get a positive until a few days after her period was due, and had a good week or so of barely visible lines. It was all fine though and my niece is 3 now! In regards to symptoms, I haven't really had anything major either. Boobs feel a bit heavier, a few waves of very mild nausea but that's about it!

@Amberellalina Funnily enough I actually looked at that miscarriage tool last night! I did find it reassuring!

OP posts:
emmatcc1 · 02/11/2023 20:02

I just started spotting even though af isn’t due until Saturday. No cramps just a tight feeling in my uterus.

Kewchoc · 03/11/2023 07:25

@emmatcc1 Let's hope it's a good sign and not AF! Will keep my fingers crossed!

How's everyone else doing this morning? I thought I was quite chill but have done another test this morning despite saying I wouldn't do anymore until AF was due 🙄 but it is only very very slightly darker than yesterdays which is making me worry, even though I'm well aware hcg rises every 48 hours! All of this really does make you lose all sense of logic doesn't it

OP posts:
emmatcc1 · 03/11/2023 08:38

@Kewchoc the spotting. Turned into full flow pretty quickly.

tlw14 · 03/11/2023 08:39

@Kewchoc We all tell ourselves we wont keep testing but its easier said than done!! Especially when ttc for a while or following a MC.

I feel my boobs are less sore and tender today.. i did another CB digital this morning and its progressed to 2-3 weeks. I feel like i really needed to see that today as i never saw a 2-3 weeks with my previous pregnancy that ended in MC.

The early days of pregnancy send you crazy!!!
All the anxiety and worry!!

tlw14 · 03/11/2023 08:39

@emmatcc1 Sorry to hear that :(

Amberellalina · 03/11/2023 09:22

Ah, so sorry to hear that @emmatcc1. Fingers crossed for next month and at least you can have a MASSIVE wine this evening.

All good here - clear progression on the FRER since Weds. I find it much less anxiety inducing to test every other day! If I were you @Kewchoc I’d just chuck yesterdays away and compare today with Wed. We’re going away for the weekend so I won’t be able to do another with fmu until Monday, when AF will be overdue so I feel justified in using the digi 😂

Good news that you are seeing progress @tlw14!

Kewchoc · 03/11/2023 10:36

@emmatcc1 Ahh sorry, that's disappointing 😞

@tlw14 Yeah you're so right. Good that you're seeing the progress on the digitals, I think that's really reassuring. With my mc the digitals took a really long time to get where they needed to be and I think I knew then that something wasn't quite right. But yes, early days of pregnancy are very stressful! I don't even feel like I am pregnant seeing as I've not officially missed a period yet

@Amberellalina Glad you're seeing progression 🥰 you've actually made me feel so much better with that suggestion, if I compare todays to Wednesdays there is actually huge progression! I know what you mean, I've got a clearblue digital but I'm refusing to use it until after a missed AF!

Does anyone know much about implantation and hcg? I always thought that a chemical pregnancy was when the egg is fertilised but doesn't implant, but I also thought that hcg doesn't start rising until after implantation which would make me that that a strong positive would mean the egg has implanted and you're no longer at risk of a chemical. Is that wrong or right? I keep worrying about chemical pregnancies and that next time I test it will be negative, but I don't really understand it

OP posts:
tlw14 · 03/11/2023 10:53

@Kewchoc
From what i have seen i believe a chemical can still happen even after implantation..

Kewchoc · 03/11/2023 10:55

@tlw14 Oh really? 😞 I was hoping it would be the opposite so I could tick off one less thing to be worried about. This would all be so much easier with a Time Machine wouldn't it?

OP posts:
tlw14 · 03/11/2023 11:08

@Kewchoc Wouldn't it just!

I keep trying to work out when i would be booked in for 12 week scan and hoping it will be this side of christmas but i think its more likely it will be in the new year.

Just seems so so far away!

Think i am going to book in for a private scan in two weeks time as should be between 6-7 weeks by then.

Are you going to have an early scan or wait it out?

Kewchoc · 03/11/2023 11:15

@tlw14 around what date will you be 12 weeks? I think private scans are the only way to get any solid reassurance, even if it doesn't last long! I'm going to book a scan for when I'm almost 8 weeks with the hope that even if my dates are a bit behind, they should still be able to see and measure everything that they need to
