I'm currently TTC following a miscarriage at 12 weeks on 5th August. I haven't had a period yet but we decided not to wait, as I'm desperate to be pregnant again and I think that is the only thing that will make me feel better about the loss. I have been tracking ovulation and did catch my peak so now just hoping I've got the timing of DTD right.

Just wondering if anyone out there TTC is around the same time in their cycle so that we can chat to each other really. I think I'm already driving my husband mad, it would be nice to speak to other people who really understand how I'm feeling! 😊

@Amberellalina Thanks, still pretty anxious today but I only got three hours sleep last night so hoping I'll feel better tomorrow after a good night. I'm trying not to get down but I already feel like I'm out this month, got my suspiciously high peak on Sunday and DTD a couple of hours after but then haven't had sex since due to my stupid brain being too anxious/tired. Trying not to be negative but can't help feeling like we haven't done it enough (even though I'm supposed to be being more relaxed about it this month 🙄)

@Kewchoc luckily it only takes one time ☺️ Hope you had a better night last night, sleep deprivation is horrible x

Kewchoc · 25/10/2023 11:42

@Amberellalina thanks, I had great sleep last night so am feeling much more positive today! I also keep telling myself that each month I don't get pregnant means an extra month of progressing in my new role at work before going on maternity leave again, so it's not all doom and gloom. How are you doing? Are you 3DPO today?

Amberellalina · 26/10/2023 06:59

I’m good thanks @Kewchoc, work is just crazy this week so keeping me busy!

I like your thinking, I will borrow it: if I’m not pregnant this month then it means one more month of working on my fitness before I become an exhausted vomitty mess 😊

4dpo today…

Kewchoc · 26/10/2023 08:31

@Amberellalina exactly! Have you felt the tingling of TWW insanity creeping in yet? I'm so hoping that I can be less neurotic this month and have definitely been more chilled out with OPK's so I'm hoping it carries over... will probably be a very different story a few days from now though 🙄

Amberellalina · 26/10/2023 09:06

@Kewchoc it seems to be Ok so far - I think about it often obviously but I’m feeling less desperate than I did last month and the one before.

As you say though, still early! I’m sure once I get into the implantation window things will change 😂

tlw14 · 27/10/2023 12:14

@Kewchoc @Amberellalina Hello both!
7dpo for me today.. had some cramping on my left side a few days ago but very mild.
Had a snuffly nose for about 24 hours but it is shifting now.. i read this can be a sign also so was feeling positive.
Not really had anything else.
Did a test this morning, obviously it was negative so feel a bit flat even though i know i do still have time.

Amberellalina · 27/10/2023 12:26

Sorry to hear you’re feeling flat @tlw14 but as you say, still incredibly early! I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of even a faint positive at 7dpo.

I really fancied marshmallows today and the last time that happened was when I was pregnant with dd! I’m only 5dpo, so way too early for any physical symptoms, but I did wonder if it was the universe giving me a sign that this is my month? We shall see…

tlw14 · 27/10/2023 12:54

@Amberellalina fingers crossed for you!

Its such a rollercoaster isn't it!! Hoping we all get our positives soon

emmatcc1 · 27/10/2023 13:43

Today at around 2am I had very painful stabbing pain on the right side of my uterus. Hopefully that’s implantation, if I was standing up I would definitely need to stop until it passed.

Liz2681 · 27/10/2023 13:52

Good luck ladies! I'm a bit behind at 2DPO, but but can already feel the creeping obsession of the TWW. We go away to Devon for a few days tomorrow though so hoping that'll take my mind off things for a few days 😌

tlw14 · 27/10/2023 14:14

I know the feeling- ive got slight cramps now on my left side but i dont know whether thats because i am thinking about it haha

Amberellalina · 27/10/2023 17:23

@Liz2681 isn’t it weird how three days feels like forever during the TWW??

Liz2681 · 27/10/2023 19:27

@Amberellalina it really does 😣 it's gonna be a long week 😬 I think because we tried so hard this cycle, DTD at the right times, vitamins, preseed etc that I'm really hopeful this month but also probably setting myself up for huge disappointment if it doesn't pan out. Gotta keep a level head though 😌

Kewchoc · 28/10/2023 12:36

@Amberellalina ooh the marshmallow thing does sound like a positive sign! When are you going to start testing?

@Liz2681 a few days away will help, I was in a similar situation last month and it did help take my mind off things. Have you decided when you're going to test this month?

Those of you who have had cramping sound like it could be a good sign too!

I'm impressed with how chill I am this month. Think focusing on my job is helping not to be so obsessive with TTC, plus me and my husband have planned a few date days so it's been nice to just enjoy time the two of us. I'm really going to try not to even test this month unless my period doesn't start on time... but we shall see haha

@Kewchoc I’ve got a couple of FRERs in so will probably test at 10 dpo (Wednesday). But I didn’t get a positive until 13 dpo last time so I’m not expecting it to be positive either way.

Date days sound lovely - we definitely don’t do enough of those!

Liz2681 · 28/10/2023 20:09

@Kewchoc hmmm I haven't decided yet 🤔 I'm in two minds really. If I want to use FMU, I'd either have to test at 8DPO (Thursday) or hold out until Sunday (11DPO). We're staying with mates over the weekend who are pregnant so going to avoid testing right before seeing them in case I'm disappointed which would just make the whole visit difficult (even though it's quite early anyway). I have FRERs as well so I'll probably crack those out first. What about you?

Kewchoc · 28/10/2023 20:19

@Amberellalina you know what I totally recommend date days... we never enjoy date nights that much cause by the time we get anywhere we're both already knackered 🤣 but we've been booking the occasional day annual leave while ds is at nursery and going away for the day and it's much more enjoyable 😊

@Liz2681 Ahh I can see why you wouldn't want to test before staying with pregnant friends. Let's hope this is your month though and you'll be able to swap pregnancy stories with your friend soon 😊 I'm determined to wait until my period is due before testing BUT I know what I'm like and will no doubt go down a testing rabbit hole once I hit 8DPO 🤣

OP posts:
Amberellalina · 29/10/2023 05:53

@Kewchoc I definitely know what you mean re: date nights, plus going out for a couple of drinks is a lot less appealing when you know you’ll be up at five in the morning… We actually have a week booked off together just before Christmas while DD is in nursery. Mainly to get stuff done but I’m sure we can throw in a couple of nice lunches ☺️

@Liz2681 sounds like a challenging weekend ahead! Sending solidarity in advance x

Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend!

Amberellalina · 29/10/2023 18:28

Ok screw it, I’m going to do a test in the morning (8dpo). Now, do I do an easy@home, which will definitely be negative, or waste a FRER on the off chance… 🤔

Kewchoc · 29/10/2023 20:06

@Amberellalina Oooh exciting, keep us posted! I'd go for the FRER... I will never use an easy@home again after that fake positive I got last month!

DS appears to have come down with a sickness bug so it looks like tomorrows date day is out the window! But I guess the silver lining is that looking after him will keep my mind off testing...

OP posts:
Amberellalina · 30/10/2023 07:29

Good point @Kewchoc! I had some onestep that I got free with my pdg strips so did one of them instead so I can save my FRERs for 10 and 12 (if I get that far 😂). BFN as expected, something feels different this month though, hopefully not just more post-mc hormonal weirdness.

Hope DS is Ok @Kewchoc, it’s horrible when they’re poorly x

tlw14 · 30/10/2023 08:37

I did a clearblue digital (one of the early detection ones) this morning which would be 10dpo. I got a positive result although i am unsure.

I think because my miscarriage was only 6 weeks ago im a little unsure whether this may have picked up hcg from the previous pregnancy as they are obviously more sensitive to lower levels..

I was testing negative on all other pregnancy tests following the miscarriage so hoping that this is a new pregnancy but will test again in a couple of days and see what a 'normal' pregnancy test says before getting too carried away ( who am i kidding i have already checked due dates).

Kewchoc · 30/10/2023 08:40

@Amberellalina oh good thinking. Like you say, you're still early for a positive yet anyway! Have you had anything else that could be symptoms? I do think our senses pick up on these things so maybe this is your month!

He's absolutely fine this morning haha... always the case with toddlers isn't it! I was panicking about having to take tomorrow off work but he's definitely turned a corner overnight thankfully.

I'm 7DPO today and still feeling relatively rational but I think that's probably cause I know our timings weren't great this month so I'm not particularly confident that it's our month anyway

I’m 9 dpo today and not sure if the sore throat is a symptom or due to me being out in the cold weather 2 days ago. I also keep getting pinching around my ovaries and some nausea.
