Thank you everyone ♥️ I had a super busy weekend so just catching up now! I also did a test this morning, 4 days later (roughly 18DPO) and really pleased with the line 🤩

@LeopardLover I can tell I have mood swings 😂 but generally feeling good. Tired and can feel sick if I don't eat enough or get too hungry. How are you doing? I hope your sickness eases off a bit soon!

@justanothermummma new job news is fantastic!! Congratulations 🥳

@DuchessofSuffolk Autumn is my favourite too 🍁 any signs of AF? Sounds like you have a nice BH planned to keep yourself busy!

@CAGH03 this all sounds promising? 🤞🏼 for you!

@Bubblesandtroubles so sorry AF arrived 😔 and what a rubbish time for it to come as well! I guess a small silver lining is that it was on the way home 💜 are you ready to try again or will you take a break? Sending lots of positive vibes your way!

@Favofit I'm so sorry its not your month lovely. How rubbish, especially when it would have been your husbands birthday. Hopefully when AF arrives you will feel a bit better and ready for the next cycle. I have everything crossed for you 💜

Sorry if I've missed anyone - it was quite a bit to catch up on 😂

@Vic231 such a beautiful line ❤️

I'm on to the next cycle with AF making her appearance this morning. I'm keen to get wine but fancy a real coffee first 😅

CAGH03 · 21/08/2023 12:55

Good morning girls! @Vic231 that line looks really good! 🤍

Did an opk this morning as I'm constantly sweating and really moody. I'm only 5dpo but my hormones must be doing something crazy, as I'm literally just sat waiting for the train and I'm sweating buckets. It's not even sunny today🥲 the cramping has gone after 2 days but my chest is still very sore and sensitive. Fingers crossed for everyone ❤️x

@Vic231 nope! No signs of AF and someone said I had lost weight earlier - which if I was pregnant would not be happening 😂😂

Annapolis35 · 21/08/2023 20:51

Wow you have such strong reactions to your hormones @CAGH03 it must be the progesterone increasing your body temp?

@DuchessofSuffolk 😂😂 definitely. How long have you got to wait?

My AF is due Friday but I start spotting a couple of days before usually so I’ll know by Wednesday what’s going on! Not long to go to put me out of my misery. I have pre-AF cramps so just feeling the same as usual

DuchessofSuffolk · 21/08/2023 21:38

I’m due Wednesday too. No nothing as of yet. I will probably be Turkey awakened by it at 3am.

CAGH03 · 21/08/2023 22:57

@Annapolis35 my hormones get so strong sometimes! I usually get quite hot just after ovulation until I get my period and then I'm cold all the time! This month just seems a lot hotter than usual and it's not even warm outside 🤣x

DuchessofSuffolk · 22/08/2023 13:49

Period came today, just before lunch break. Then opened my sandwiches to find the bread had gone mouldy. It wasn’t when I made them the night before! Cried. Colleague gave me half of her leftovers from her dinner last night - which was actually amazing because she is a banging cook!

Annapolis35 · 22/08/2023 14:02

Awww @DuchessofSuffolk thats rotten. So sorry! but the leftovers sounds much better. Mine also feels imminent, expecting it any second and keep going to bathroom to knicker check. On to another cycle it is…. I think I need a holiday?? I am trying to shift too not preventing as opposed to trying in terms of mentality, definitely easier said than done.

Favofit · 22/08/2023 15:17

So sorry @DuchessofSuffolk , hope you're okay ❤️

Favofit · 22/08/2023 15:19

@Annapolis35 could still be a chance . If not , then next cycle it is ❤️ I'm trying to think like you too but it's really hard. I'm so tempted to start tracking again but worried about my anxiety 😟

Annapolis35 · 22/08/2023 15:26

@Favofit It’s tough isn’t it? Part of me thinks we should maximize our chances by tracking but the other part of me always know when I ovulate - it is day 17 or 18 like clockwork every month so I really don’t need to. And does it matter if I am a day out with a guess as we always regularly have sex around then. It doesn’t help with anxiety at all and ttc in general is just torture for mental health - especially when it’s been going on for a while. I just don’t like how this has dominated my life for a year and a half

That's such a valid point ! To think I spent years when I was younger trying not to get pregnant , didn't once think that getting pregnant could be this complicated.

Annapolis35 · 22/08/2023 15:52

@Favofit i know! I just read a helpful post on another thread about it all being down to luck which did help me so I’ll share

“XenaTheWarriorPrincess · Today 14:32
@DJT30 Even in completely healthy couples, the chances of pregnancy each cycle when every is timed right is about 30% iirc.

Sperm meeting egg likely happens more than we realise, almost every time, but that's just the first hurdle.

Not every sperm and egg are made equally and, unfortunately, the majority of fertilised eggs don't make it past a few days.

Chromosomal abnormalities are the most common reason and occur in perfectly healthy couples, it's just a case of playing the odds. The longer you are ttc the more likely you'll get a sperm egg pairing that works, but if you're unlucky it can take a while.

It's literally luck, that's it. If your fertility tests are all clear, there's nothing much more you can do. You might as well be in a casino betting red/black on roulette; you can get it right first time or get it wrong 8 times in a row, the odds reset each time to 50/50.

I also completely understand how you feel about a friend getting there before you. She just got lucky and you haven't yet. Try to remember that there's nothing either one of you could have done differently to change that, it was pure luck.

You'll get there, just keep trying and try (as hard as I know it is) to be patient.

I got my bfp on cycle 6 and I consider myself lucky it didn't take longer.”

That is so useful, thank you so much for this! It's really wild that the odds are that low even with healthy people involved and no issues. The fact that it's a lot of luck involved makes it a bit scary and I will never understand how the planet is overpopulated 😅

Annapolis35 · 22/08/2023 16:32

I know right! But at least the luck part takes it out of your hands a bit? We do what we have to and the rest is just down to nature, which is definitely hard to just let go (I know I know!). It definitely helps puts things in perspective how little odds there are of a successful pregnancy! Now I think every pregnancy is a miracle 😂

This !! Every pregnancy is truly a miracle. It takes so much and there are so so many hurdles . At least we can try to control our health ❤️

DuchessofSuffolk · 22/08/2023 16:40

I’m alright. Just don’t understand how it’s so difficult! School had me thinking if I look at a boy I’d get knocked up!

@DuchessofSuffolk literally!! Our whole lives were told not to have any unprotected sex. Here I am having alllll the unprotected sex 7 months in and still nothing (bar an early mc on cycle 2)

Hopefully all our BD will get us some lasting positive results ❤️

totally agree on all we can do is control our health and look after ourselves @Favofit

I know! I remember being terrified for many many years of getting pregnant. If only I knew…! 😂😂

I just assumed we only had to choose a preferred month 😅. Also being told I had child bearing hips gave me a false sense of security (never thought of it as a compliment btw)

Bubblesandtroubles · 22/08/2023 20:05

@Annapolis35 that post is a really good read. Thanks for sharing!
We've talked it through here and decided we both want to keep trying a little bit longer but still very much got half an eye on it not taking over our lives (That more applies to me than husband 🙄)
I followed @LeopardLover advice and bought Agnus Castus from Holland & Barrett at lunchtime. We are both on a bit of a post holiday health kick which hopefully won't hurt our chances either! Xx

justanothermummma · 22/08/2023 20:56

@CAGH03 I'm okay with AF this time, now really is not the time to have a baby, having just lost a job and not having started a new one, need time to settle into a new way of life first, but can't wait to see your babies happen! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
