Fingers crossed for you @SnookyPook so hard to think about anything else but hope you’re managing to keep yourself reasonably distracted!

I have yet another probably stupid question for people….when do you usually start seeing egg white CM/increase of CM? It’s suddenly come on a bit today but I’m not due to ovulate until Sunday and OPKs are still negative today. Is it normal to see an increase in CM 4-5 days before ovulation? I’ve only started noticing it last cycle so CM is a pretty new concept to me….

Pineappleapple · 08/08/2023 16:46

@Eirlys1986 I have held off testing but been away which helps. Maybe tomorrow night, would be good to hang on until then (don't want to do the morning then go to work).

Pineappleapple · 08/08/2023 16:49

Hopeful - can't tag you. The GP appointment was fine for us. Some lifestyle questions, when was last period are your cycles regular type thing. Referral for blood test for me and sperm test for OH. For us she referred to fertility clinic at that appointment as we have a complicated history but I guess it's different for everyone when they refer. I hope that helps.

Hi girls! So just got off the call with the fertility doctor and we went over my hubby's results. She said it's not where it should be but it's not horrible, which makes sense since he stopped taking the testosterone shots a month ago. We will do another test in 3mos to see if it's getting better.
In the meantime we decided to start IUI. Apparently his sperm is good enough for iUI. Has anyone done this? I'm going to be taking some medicine to increase egg production. And tracking ovulation, doing blood tests, etc etc.
I'm nervous but excited to have this option as while hubby gets better we have an option not to waste time.
Here in canada it will cost us about $700 per cycle. And she's envisioning 3-4 cycles till we reevaluate and at the same time she put us on the IVF waiting list which takes about 6mos.
I'm glad to come out of this appointment with some options.... Not natural how we wished, but I'd gladly take all the help I can get.

Hope you are all doing well 🙏❤️‍🩹

@MrsBP15 for me CM really varies from cycle to cycle but proper EWCM is only 1-2 days before O. Sorry for the tmi but it gets kind of progressively more watery and stretchy. It then gets thicker and dries up though I do oddly sometimes also get it just before AF.

SnookyPook · 08/08/2023 18:11

@VixFromThe6ix oh that sounds really positive - glad the appointment went well and that you've come out feeling hopeful ❤️

Floralsandsmiles · 08/08/2023 18:27

Hi ladies!

I hope you are all well? I have been trying to keep up with messages but must admit since the new thread I'm a little behind.

Anyways the gynae prescribed me norethisterone for my spotting and this was my first month taking this. I am 10dpo and haven't spotted (when I usually do at 6dpo onwards). Anyways I have been feeling loads of symptoms and know the tablets bring these on, so have been ignoring them.. I also had such vivid dreams the last few mornings when I woke.
Due to there being no spotting today and it being 10dpo, I thought I would take a test and look!!! I drunk alot, but it appear almost instantly (albeit it faint). So I waited another hr, and took another. Paranoid that it was a faulty test! And it come up straight away again! 😊😊

Now I'm wondering if I should continue these norethisterone tablets? Or abandon? @Eirlys1986 hi! How are you? I don't suppose you know what I should do? Xxx

@Floralsandsmiles wow!!! That's amazing.
No idea on the tablets, if it doesn't say on the pack could call GP.or pharmacist in the morning maybe?

SnookyPook · 08/08/2023 19:33

@Floralsandsmiles oh how amazing! What a result first month on the tablets! 🥰

Eirlys1986 · 08/08/2023 20:52

Fantastic @Floralsandsmiles congratulations! The situation re:stopping them is a bit confusing to me to be honest!Any form of progesterone (which norethisterone is) helps to maintain a healthy womb lining and gives a developing pregnancy an optimum environment to develop by avoiding the spotting etc. However, norethisterone does carry a specific warning not to take in pregnancy as the hormones can affect the development of the baby’s genitals. I think if I were you I would continue to take as the immediate priority is maintaining the pregnancy at present, I would contact your consultants secretary tomorrow (could ring and ask for the secretary of x consultant you saw via hospital switchboard) then ask them to find out asap whether you are now to stop them as I’m not sure your GP will be confident of the answer as I certainly am not! They’ll definitely want you to stop it at some point and it may be straight away but I would hate to advise you to do that and then you get spotting which would be really stressful. I think just take tomorrow’s dose whilst awaiting an answer as it’s far too early in a pregnancy for baby to be developing genitals etc anyway, hopefully consultant will get back with answer asap for you! X

VixFromThe6ix · 08/08/2023 20:57

@SnookyPook thank you! I'm glad we walked away with a plan. It kills me to do nothing lol wasting precious cycles gave me a real guilt trip

@Floralsandsmiles yay!!! Congratulations!!!

Thank you! I will be honest, a little in shocked to be fair!
The last time I was pregnant was 14 years ago. I read that now I have to refer myself to midwife? I think it would be too early to right now? Nervous, terrified and excited! So much can go wrong and want to just count my lucky crickets
Xxx

I’m in the same boat, due to ovulate Sunday! Very new to me as only 2nd month off pill so paying more attention this month. Also noticed some CM today but it’s not much.

Pineappleapple · 09/08/2023 07:54

AF here for me today. Glad I managed not to test. It's a bit earlier than my app said but cycles not very regular. So out this month, will gear myself up again

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 09/08/2023 08:11

Sorry @Pineappleapple but good you hadn’t tested yet. How many cycles have you been testing?

Im CD12 and got another flashing smiley on my ovulation test this morning which I’m relieved about as DH is back this evening. I was expecting to ovulate CD 15/16 so hopefully will get static tomorrow or next day. Not much EWCM in evidence yet either!

RoseH36 · 09/08/2023 08:13

@MrsBP15 I'll sometimes get a bit a few days before just on an odd occasion and then most is when I peak. Although I've had days where Clearblue says I'm at peak and I'm still quite dry for a day or 2.

@VixFromThe6ix that's amazing you've got some options in place. Keeping everything crossed for you that it all goes well and you don't have long to wait.

@Floralsandsmiles congratulations, what a great result so soon! Fingers crossed it sticks for you.

AF is due end of the week for me. Had a bit of discoloration on the tissue before I went to bed last night so probably imminent now. I knew I'd be out this cycle based on the fact it's always taken us 3 cycles to get pregnant, no idea why. It worked in keeping me calm the last 2 weeks though. Will now try and work out dates going forwards, I'm overdue a smear so was told to get it booked in for September as needed to wait 10 weeks after the mc. My plan had been to skip the next cycle but part of me doesn't want to miss one so need to see if I can work out a good time to get one booked where I'm not in a TWW.

xxcxdonxx · 09/08/2023 12:06

@Floralsandsmiles wow, huge congratulations!

Hope everyone is well. I’ve been a bit absent recently but enjoyed reading everyone’s updates. Good luck to all my fellow tww-ers 💜

Floralsandsmiles · 09/08/2023 12:49

Thank you all for your lovely messages! I hope you are all well and I'm thinking of you all, sending hugs and know you will all get your much deserved BFP soon! Xxx

SnookyPook · 09/08/2023 14:44

AF arrived here at midday. 😩 3 1/2 days late. Just long enough to have me really starting to get a bit hopeful over the last two days. Took a test this morning and was well into 'expecting a second line' territory so was a bit of a gut punch when it was completely negative but at least meant I could mentally prepare for AF a little bit.

Feeling a bit despondent now. I think I might also need to back off MN for a while as not sure it's helping me right now. Only two months until my original due date month which seems mad. That time has just flown. Quite a few who I went through that loss with are pregnant again and already at 12wk scan stage which is so amazing for them but has just begun to be difficult for me and making me feel more aware of my lack of pregnancy (no way to make that sound nice but hopefully everyone here gets it). I think I just need to get out of my head a bit and find a bit of zen.

Love and baby dust to everyone. 💕

Eirlys1986 · 09/08/2023 14:49

@SnookyPook no need to explain to any of us, we all understand as we navigate such a difficult, emotionally charged, utterly crappy experience. Sending you love and hope you get some peaceful head space to feel better soon. We shall see you when we see you! Xxxxx ❤️
