Hi I'm brand new to Mumsnet. I'm 26 TTC for first baby, been trying a couple of months, was on pill for 8 years before this so appreciate it will likely take some time. Found waiting for af a bit tough last month, tested a lot. I know most people have much longer waits before positive test but would love to share the journey with others. Hope this is the right forum for this!

@CatiaR thank you!! Hope it continues I will wait til Sunday test with a more sensitive and maybe a digital and then I will contact the doctors as I need to medicate once BFP is clear! X

Morning ladies, I think I am approx 9dpo obviously I’ve had to test…. Can you guys see what I can 👀
it is really such a squinter.. I saw on the cheap test a shadow first then I did a first response but it is not the early one!! The silly ones from Amazon.
trying to not get my hopes up/going mad but hard after my miscarriage May/June time. The first response is more pink when I shine the light.

I see it! It looks like the positive I had at 8dpo and mine wasn't an early one either! May be twins 😉. Congratulations!

If everything contains to go well I will definitely be going for an early scan because our chance of twins is high x

If everything contains to go well I will definitely be going for an early scan because our chance of twins is high x

Yeah everyone I have spoken to have said they couldn't cope with twins but with it being my first I imagine it won't be as bad as I won't know any different haha. I have my first scan booked for 2 weeks today! 😁

@jadeyjade8 i think it would deffo be nice to have them first and then you’ve like conquered it in one go and don’t know any difference of just having one 🤣 as one to two is a jump and then one to three well jesus haha! Good luck, how many weeks are you now? Xx

I caught DH's sickness bug which has totally messed up my BBT chart and symptom spotting (high temperatures and nausea, anyone?)!

However, I am still shamelessly symptom spotting and have had some interesting cervical mucus... if I recall correctly, I had more cervical mucus than usual at this point in my cycle with my previous successful pregnancies... I'm currently varying between slightly milky, slightly creamy yellow and slightly stretchy (definitely not late ovulation, I had a very clear peak and I've tested since just in case). Apparently this can be an indicator of successful conception 🤞 Just got to keep fingers crossed that if I've conceived, implantation will successfully occur... apparently sickness bugs can cause an "inflammatory response" and this one has hit me hard (haven't eaten properly since Wednesday morning and I still have symptoms). Trying to stay hydrated, at least!

I guess time will tell... I hate the TWW!

Unfortunately the same happened last month and the lines never got stronger (must have been a chemical pregnancy), so I'll be much happier if I see some progression in a couple of days... but I'm remaining cautiously optimistic for now!
I have a better feeling about this one... (can't quite put my finger on it, but I think my symptoms align better with my previous two successful pregnancies and perhaps there's something logical in that reasoning?!)

I'll probably test again with a Boots test on Friday - gives a bit of time for hormones to do their thing...

Ah congratulations @Poppins2016.

I am now 15dpo - AF was due yesterday but didn't arrive. Negative clear blue test this morning. Not sure what is going on with my cycle.
