Hi I'm brand new to Mumsnet. I'm 26 TTC for first baby, been trying a couple of months, was on pill for 8 years before this so appreciate it will likely take some time. Found waiting for af a bit tough last month, tested a lot. I know most people have much longer waits before positive test but would love to share the journey with others. Hope this is the right forum for this!

@Noirbleu sorry, forgot to say, they're 12, 8, 5 and 2 yes old. And all winter babies so almost 3 years to the day between each of them. We definitely didn't plan it that way at all and wanted much smaller age gaps, but ttc took us a while each time.

@Maybebaby12345 @Daniki This is the only test I’ve done. I have a boots 5 day early test which I’ll do in the morning, 4 days before AF is due. It did bug me big time but I also didn’t want to do a test incase it’s 100% negative! Usually am irritable and have cramps around this time but this morning my mood lifted and less cramps this afternoon. It really felt like AF was on route but now I’m not sure! Who knows! It all feels like a guessing game 🙈 @Daniki we still have time, I think I read that 85% of pregnant women get their BFP on 12DPO 😊x

@Abs014 our bodies do like to trick us 😂 aw hopefully you get yours now in the morn! I like the boots early ones, I find them as good as the FRER!

Hey ladies, I am Ebonie 29 I have just come on AF today first cycle after early miscarriage last month, this one was a bit later but it’s here now so I can start again this month. So if anyone doesn’t get a BFP I will be in for the ttc middle of this month! I am now trying to conceive baby number 2. My first daughter is 20 months, that time I had the implant out no period but 6 weeks later a positive test so this time is completely different! Sending baby dust hope you all get your BFPs very soon! X

Morning ladies! So I’m still not sure what’s going on! I’ve gone a test but I think I need to do another one in 2 days? Is that a super faint line, dye run or indent? X

It really does look like a faint line, how many dpo are you??

@Abs014 looks like a faint line to me! Did you take the pic after the right amount of time? Tentatively congratulations!

Looks like a super faint line to me too! Definitely test again, I would say wait 2 days but I am so impatient so I would be testing again tomorrow! Congrats!

For 10dpo that's a good looking line as far as my experience with tests goes!!! Especially as it was within 5 mins!!! Congratulations ❤

Ladies was on the May/June TTC thread and been reading along with this one. I'm 9 DPO and 5 days before AF. Took a First Response this evening for the first time ever and it's positive! The line looks strong, I assume this is a good thing? I'm just nervous now, I've tested so early I feel like I've extended the worry time and I had a chemical last time we were TTC so hyper conscious of that. Sorry just rambling, I'm excited and nervous all in one and with no one to tell but hubby I'm bursting!

@Kez437 congratulations that's a really strong line (maybe it's twins! ;) ) Really happy for you. From what I understand chemicals are often paler aren't they and sometimes don't become a strong line? Still relatively new to all this though! Completely understand your feelings about testing early - if it's negative there's a disappointment but also not completely trusting it so keep testing and even though it's positive you worry about a chemical pregnancy. I can't help testing early and often though! Your test looks super promising at the moment though, very exciting! How long have you been trying? Is this your first?

Omg @Kez437! Congrats!! How exciting! Super strong line! I know how you feel, haven’t had a chemical before but I’m nervous too. And I don’t think I’ll quite believe it till AF doesn’t show up! We will be due super close! I’m 11DPO today AF due Monday and couldn’t resist a test, even though I said I’d wait! First pic is just under 3 mins in and the second one is after 10 mins (which I know is invalid but it makes me feel a little better!🙈) mine is a stronger line than yesterday and going to see if I can get a FS test today for tomorrow morning xx

6dpo for me and I will not test, I will not test!!!!

I am 7DPO today and also resisting the tests! Flo says AF due next Saturday. Trying to hold out until next Friday night/Saturday morning to test!

@CinderRosie mines due a week Sunday and it's going to be a long 9 days!!

Thank you everyone for the congratulations! It still doesn't feel real! All being well this will be baby no.3 for us, I think other people think that by baby no.3 you're more relaxed and also that you aren't as excited or nervous but that couldn't be further from the truth! We'd be trying for a couple of months after I got the bar removed.
@Abs014 that is definitely a stronger line! Forgive me if this is a stupid question but I assume you are using an early detection test? I am not sure what the pick up of HCG is on your one vs First Response but First Response seems to be the go to for early tests and maybe it's more sensitive and will give you a more definite line? It might help settle the nerves. I got a 2 pack and am now resisting the urge to use the second one until Sunday at least
