Hi I'm brand new to Mumsnet. I'm 26 TTC for first baby, been trying a couple of months, was on pill for 8 years before this so appreciate it will likely take some time. Found waiting for af a bit tough last month, tested a lot. I know most people have much longer waits before positive test but would love to share the journey with others. Hope this is the right forum for this!

I will jump in on the thread too! First cycle for our first baby, Technically not TTC as such but not preventing it either so we shall see how long it will take before we decide to start tracking ovulation properly and all that.

The only thing we have a rough idea is when my ovulation week is and we definitely DTD aiming for that so fingers crossed 🤞

Feeling a bit crampy tummy today so who knows what it will be, normal don’t have any ovulation cramping but could be that but otherwise still TWW here.

will be looking forward to see updates from everyone 😊

@jadeyjade8 omg congratulations!!! Amazing news, so happy for you. I've always been dubious about psychic's but have heard of multiple women been told they were pregnant by a psychic and they were!! Was it a cb early detection because that would be accurate for 9dpo?

It was just a normal date checker cb test. It wasn't an early one which is why I'm super confused haha!

Hi @CatiaR welcome to the group! We weren't technically TTC to start with either (just not trying not to get pregnant anymore) but when I didn't get pregnant straight away we have been trying a bit more ttc each month. I think for us once we had decided not to prevent pregnancy anymore it was just one step away from really wanting to get pregnant asap! So used fertility app this last month and dtd especially around this time, looking as though will be negative this month so going to ovulation test next month. It's not ideal timing as my work isn't great at the moment but we will make things work and we're very excited for it to happen. Excited to see how your journey takes you x

we definitely wanted to wait till we got married so the ban has been lifted last week!

not in a rush but at the same time can’t wait to get pregnant and would be very lucky if we didn’t need to try very hard but who knows

now TWW and see if AF comes or not 😊

work couldn’t be in the best place as I work for a baby and maternity retailer so that discount will come handy! 😝

So I tested this morning on a cheapie and then on a digital & was shocked (Still am!) to find that it's positive. The Digital says i'm 2-3wks & that works out right to what I thought.

Sending lots of positive thoughts out to everyone else and crossing my fingers and toes for everyone to get those BFP soon! xx

Ahhh congratulations!! How many dpo are you? I'm only 10dpo today but got my BFP yesterday on day 9. Even my digi came back positive which I was so shocked at as it wasn't an early results one!

Anyone got a cold in this 2 week wait ? Got a horrible cough and stuffy nose since last 4 5days and then severe headache today

Hi 👋🏼 joining this thread as TTC #2 (hopefully) this week as I am due to ovulate in the next few days, currently using cheap OPKs but waiting on some Easy@Home tests to arrive tomorrow. It feels really intense this time, I'm not sure if it's because I'm getting older (37) or because my DC is 3.5 and I am conscious of a bigger age gap 🤷🏽‍♀️

hi to all the mummas on here since I last posted! I have been tracking ovulation and now for 5 days I’ve been getting flashing smiley on the cb digitals! It’s driving me insane as I thought I would have ovulated by now, it’s annoying as I feel like I’ve not even made it to the anxious tww yet! We’ve just been dtd everyday just in case but it gets exhausting doesn’t it! I had an early miscarriage on 4th June so I don’t know if this has messed up all my cycle but I had my normal period at the start of this month. I’ve had ovulation pains and deffo more mucus but I don’t know maybe it is going to skip a month! I’m ttc number 2 and my daughter is 20 months old.
Hope you all get some better luck in getting bfps towards the end of the month and congratulations to those who already have! I think we might end up bypassing this month as even a try x

I’m a long time lurker! 27 & TTC no1 for 8 months (been off the pill just over a year) and just got my first BFP at 12DPO! Trying to not get excited until it continues for a couple of weeks 🙏🏽
I decided to post because the only thing we did different this month was using the fertilily cup along with the fertility lube and I’m convinced they must have helped!! Search scarlettsworld on insta as she has a highlight on it & a discount code!

Thank you both! Couldn’t believe it, only tested because I’ve got a blood test tomorrow to start the ball rolling with investigations! The cup has so many success stories so got to be worth a try 🙏🏽

Congratulations everyone bfping! I'm due af tomorrow and still testing negative this morning on the early early ones so pretty sure I'm out this month or having an irregular cycle. Hopefully next month will be luckier :)

congrats @TTCno1in23 ! How exciting, I can’t wait to test but still only about 4 or 5 dpo so need to hang fire but already caved in and bought cheapie tests even tho I said to my husband I wouldn’t buy a test unless AF didn’t come! 😝

Bit behind you all here but I’ll tag along for the ride! I’m 29, TTC number 2. Had a MC at 7 weeks in March and a chemical in June, this is cycle 1 post chemical and I’m CD1 today after spotting the last 4 days 🫣

I won’t be tracking OPKs etc, just logging DTD on Premom, based on previous cycles my fertile window will be 27th-1st if anyone is similar :)

@Ecgx i had the same- days and days of flashing so gave up in the end.
