I've just been reading a pregnancy thread and its hit me so hard, I so want to be pregnant

We havent been trying long, only 2 or 3 months but it seems so long when you want something so bad.

When AF arrives even though its only a month till the round of pregnancy testing starts it feels like years.

And this months just gone off the rails for me, when I was supposed to be Oving my AF started instead, Its stopped about 4 days ago but now I have AF cramps again !!

Im just fed up (PS theres no way Im pregnant, someone suggested I might be - but its only 16 days since last AF and haven't done the deed since!)

Argggghhhh!! Im so frustrated!

fingers crossed its not much longer for you. As you said 2 or 3 months isn't a long time. Try not to be consumed by the want/need to be pregnant as this doesn't help. It is frustrating try to relax & maybe treat yourself to some pampering maybe a massage. Enjoy the time you & your partner have together see this as a positive. sorry this probably doesn't help.also if you are worried about your AF mix up see your gp.

Ah disenchanted I can totally understand . My cycles muck me around so much it really gets me down. My cycles are soooo long and unpredictable. This cycle is my 3rd in nearly 7 months. One minute I think I'm ovulating the next I get opposite symptoms. Our bodies love us to think we're pg dont they? Mother natures evil way I suppose.
Moan all you like. It really helps to just write it all down
I really hope it won't take us long

Disenchanted · 21/02/2008 21:32

Hi fruitloop

I can't interperate my symptoms either!

Last month I was due and got such sore boobs, I never get sore boobs and I was sure i was PG, but I wasn't!

It helps to moan sometimes I agree!

Hi Disenchanted,

I was the same when we were ttc our DD. It took us 6 months but 9 cycles. The disappointment was awful when AF arrived each month. I was starting to think there was something wrong and even had a scan to check I didn't have PCOS. that month i fell pregnant. She is almost 1 now and we are now ttc no 2 so I'm with you on this one. Good luck matey, it will happen for you soon

Lou xx

fruitloop79 · 21/02/2008 21:49

PCOS is a PITA. It seriously takes the p*ss

Why is it so easy to fall pg by accident?

fruitloop79 · 21/02/2008 21:51

I've just noticed a BFP thread [grrrrr]

iom08 · 21/02/2008 21:52

I know. I spent most of my late teens and twentys making sure I didn't get pregnant. If I had known that it was going to take a while then that would have saved me a few sleepless nights !! lol

Disenchanted · 21/02/2008 21:57

I took ages to fall with DS1,Well i didnt use contraception properly for well over a year

Then I cam off the pill, had a cycle from hell - 90 days long! then got PG,

this time I was expecting to get pregnant month 2, didnt, now month 3 is just from hell aswell!

I feel like Im wasting time if that makes sense?!

OP posts:
fruitloop79 · 21/02/2008 21:58

yeah iom08 I know. What a waste of time the pill is eh!

Disenchanted · 21/02/2008 22:00

Im having AF cramps again and thought maybe I was OVing, but just done and OPK and theres not even a trace of a line!

OP posts:
fruitloop79 · 21/02/2008 22:02

yep disenchanted makes complete sense.
But, you give me a lot of hope! I didn't use contraception properly for about 3 years before falling pg with DS (a surprise), I came off the pill at the beginning of Aug 07, had 30 something day cycle then an 88day cycle. I'm now on CD60!

fruitloop79 · 21/02/2008 22:04

I've been getting spotting for two days now, not AFy so thought maybe Oving but -ve OPK. PCOS messes around with OPKs though so a complete waste of time really.

Feels good to get this off your chest doesnt it!

Can empathise..it is hard sometimes.

We have been TTC for #2 for about 3 years. Have recently had a couple of ops to sort some problems out caused my my c section (only found out about them a couple of years ago - had lng wait - DD now nearly 6!) I am now keeping fingers crossed that it will happen again - last time with DD it took well over a year as it is.

Hope you get lucky soon!

bethoo · 21/02/2008 22:06

Disenchanted - statistically in the first month only 15% of couples conceive, and then it goes up every month so keep wiht it and if there is no reason for you not to conceive then it will happen, i know how impatient it can be as after my m/c i became obsessed with getting pregnant. sometimes the stress of trying can delay. just relax and it will happen. as long as you are having plenty of sex all month it will eventually happen. and i see you are using predictive ovulation sticks which is good. it will happen. best of luck

GreenGlassGoblin · 21/02/2008 22:11

disenchanted this is the thread I've been wanting to start! Have been 'trying' for 7 cycles now, though with nightmare toddler we've only got it together at the right time of the month about twice in all that time. Am not even sure that I'm trying not to obsess. I took a brief break cos MN seemed filled with unexpected pg threads for a few weeks and I couldn't cope. Know how you feel. I have no great advice (I never do), but I am so with you.

Disenchanted · 21/02/2008 22:14

I actully think I OV'd on CD 12 this cycle

last month it was CD18!

Im pretty sure it was day 12 this month as all my OPKs have been veryyyy negative apart from CD13 which was the very first day i started testing (because i expected to OVon 18) and thta test had a very clear pink line but it wasnt as dark as the control.

so i think i just missed it and if i would have started doing them the day beforew i would have got a +

Which means by rights, i should start AF AGAIN! ( ) in about 6 days time,

GGG I know how you feel about all these BFP on here. I've given up congratulating . I get so when I see threads like "I got a BFP" or "how do you conceive a girl/boy?" or even worse those threads about fallen pg "accidently"

Disenchanted · 21/02/2008 22:18

Fruitloop I must admit I was hoping to do the 'shettles' method and try for a girl I have two boys and would love a daughter so much.

But with my cycles being all over the place theres no way I could predict ovulation, and really, after the last 3 months i just want a baby Id love another son.

I just want to snuggle and breastfeed a tiny baby then wrap it up and put it in the moses basket next to me

OP posts:
fruitloop79 · 21/02/2008 22:25

I actually bought the shettles book cos I thought it seemed so easy (I'd love a girl if I had the choice). Having since found out I have PCOS I realise I will be lucky if I ever have anymore babies at all. Makes me laugh to think I would actually have a choice! I was gonna burn the book! cos I feel so everytime I see it . Apparantly there is only a 25% chance of fertilisation even if a "normal" couple time it exactly right! I'm just amazed anyone can fall pg at all!

Disenchanted · 21/02/2008 22:29

What a jolly thread eh?

It will happen for us!

Fruitloop do you wanna keep in touch? I could always do with a moaning buddy who like to chat about conception!

I became so obsessed with getting pregnant when ttc DD that I would leap on my husband almost everyday from day 5 to 20 on my cycle....he threatened to move back to his parents house!!!lol Seriously though if he didn't want to BD then I would get resentful and think tonight could have been the night that we could have conceived. It all started to get horribly premeditated and took all the fun out of it. Even though I say that I won't get het up about it this time, I am painfully aware that AF arrived last week. hey ho, here's to another month of BD

Disenchanted · 21/02/2008 22:31

My aunt has it too, she has had a baby through IVF but it now using OPKs to try and have another.

GreenGlassGoblin · 21/02/2008 22:34

Hi fruitloop, I know you from the TTC thread part whatever it's up to now, how's it going over there? I don't have PCOS (as far as I know), but can kind of empathise as I apparently have fibroids and a funny shaped uterus. Which I'm told will make it harder to fall pg as the egg has fewer good places to implant. So I do recognise that feeling of how do they all do it?
