1DPO - Anyone want to wait with me ☺

Hi ladies,

First month catching positive LH to confirm my ovulation. We DTD two days before but unfortunately not on ovulation day. I'm hoping I'm still in with a chance. Currently 1DPO. Love anyone to join me for the painful waiting game of testing and also symptom spot/share stories of successful pregnancies.

Well because I'm a weirdo who's addicted to POAS it seems 😅 I tested today at 3dpo, obviously a BFN 😂
Other than severe tiredness, bloating and cramping in my left ovary which is odd I'm not feeling much. Too early anyways! Is anyone closer to testing? 😊

@Pinkmoon23 sometimes you just got to get it over with 😂 I'm 6DPO tomorrow. Will test 7DPO no doubt even though it will be pointless 🤷‍♀️

It's true! The waiting is killing me I'm so impatient 😅 I was going to have a glass of wine tonight after a stressful day at work but not sure that's a good idea during the 2ww?! I've read mixed things. Not too long for you until your closer to more accurate testing ! 🤞🤞🤞

@Pinkmoon23 Iv not read much about alcohol within this period, however I'd imagine 1 glass of wine won't hurt. But I'm no professional. Years ago they used to advise pregnant women to drink Guinness (or so my mum says) 😂

Oh yeahhh I've heard that too! I think it's to do with the iron content 😂 seems... Legit? (not) 😂😂

@Pinkmoon23 😂😂 brilliant. I'm also waiting for my progesterone test to come back aswell so I'm constantly loading up the NHS app. I really wish I had more patience 🤦‍♀️

There's a book called expecting better which goes into the science of all the recommendations and why different people will make different decisions based on how they feel. The first chapter is about the tww and the potential effects of alcohol there.

I read a lot of fertility books when I was taking my supplements and getting excited about ttc, but now I'm actually ttc it's a bit overwhelming to read books about it. After I have a bfp I'll likely devour the rest of the book!

I just had my progesterone test bsck and it came back at 48!!! So happy as they look for it to be over 30! 🥹❤️ so thankfully I have ovulated!

to anyone out there getting these tests done, make sure you fight your own corner. I was made to have this on day 21 and it came back very low meaning no ovulation, which I told her it would as I only ovulated 2 days prior and it needs to be 6-8 days after ovulation! So now I’ve had it done on day 25 it’s come back at 48 meaning I have ovulated! So glad I stuck to my guns.

So ladies Iv just had my progesterone results. I only ovulated 5 days ago and it's at 29. Is that good? The test summary says satisfactory but don't trust that it is??

Wow, this sounds so interesting! I definitely recommend the Huberman Lab podcast on fertility. It's extremely long but very informative - he's definitely anti-alcohol when TTC. Although, loads of my friends conceived after drinking in their TWW and all was well. 😊 I guess you just need to make your own decision based on the information you have.

I've not heard of that podcast! Is his voice interesting to listen to?

It feels silly but if someone has a boring voice or doesn't sound interested in what they're saying I immediately switch off

I'd just rather live in the not knowing zone rather than being disappointed 🤣 to be fair, I have been really tempted to randomly take an OPK which makes no sense. If I'm testing this week it needs to be a pregnancy test!

I remember living in fear of falling pregnant in my 20s and it's only in my mid-30s I've realised how the stars really need to align to get a BFP 🤣

He's extremely passionate! It's a bit scientific so at times I felt myself having to really focus but as soon as I finished it I devoured the episode on alcohol. So definitely recommend it!

One I devoured was called 28ish days later by the BBC. Each episode is short and focuses on a different part of the menstrual cycle. There was loads I didn't know so I listened to the whole thing in a weekend. Only a few of them directly talk about fertility

@ShanTTC22 congratulations for you. Yes just been reading up and I think the level is pretty good from what I can see. Especially for 5DPO. Now we just need that BFP soon 🤞🏼

I'm 5 dpo and just had pinky red blood when I wipe... wtf
My cycles are between 26 and 30 days and its far too early for potential implantation bleeding as I know ovulation date due to using opks!!

How many days before ovulation did you dtd? I had positive clear blue (2 days one) smiley face on 29th but only positive easyhome opk on 30th so dtd on both days. I hope that was enough...
Also those who are TTC for #2 or more, how old are your dcs? My ds is 22 months 💛

Is anyone also doing bbt? I've just started this month, I also entered some dates wrong manually, just today's right and entered bunch of days as the day before actual one

This is my first month doing charting, this is mine! I think it shows I ovulated but not sure what else 😅
