1DPO - Anyone want to wait with me ☺

Hi ladies,

First month catching positive LH to confirm my ovulation. We DTD two days before but unfortunately not on ovulation day. I'm hoping I'm still in with a chance. Currently 1DPO. Love anyone to join me for the painful waiting game of testing and also symptom spot/share stories of successful pregnancies.

My test this morning. Just wish the line would be darker 🤦‍♀️

@BABYPRAYING hcg takes a while to build up so it might just be that? Have you got another test you could try?

Well with huge disappointed I recieved another BFN this morning. That's me at 12dpo so I'm sure I'm out. I'm going to try and stop testing now and admit defeat 😔

@Pinkmoon23 If AF hasn't arrived and your temp is still high, you aren't out! Especially if you implanted a bit later. But if you do end up moving into the next cycle, we're in this together 💪🏻

So my temp is still high... I think, I'm not sure if it's going down enough to indicate AF?

Your new one is definitely darker than this one. Fingers crossed its just slow profession, I've seen that on my obsessive googling journey. It can take a long time for some people to get a dark line. Is it worth trying a digi to put your mind at ease?

@Pinkmoon23 that really sucks 😕 there's still time to hope for the best but i guess also to also prepare for the worst.

Ive actually given my remaining tests to my hubby to stop myself daily testing. I'm trying to hope that in 2 or 3 days I'll get a line that looks more promising and that I'll know either way.

I think I will (try to) stop testing now and will only test again if my period is late.

So I'm probably grasping at straws here, but on what I thought was 3dpo I got really bad ovulation pain, quite sharp completely localised to left ovary, it continued all evening. It was sore enough to make me consider ibuprofen. At the time I was hopeful it was a good sign but recently I've been wondering if maybe it actually was ovulation? It wouldn't be the best because it'd mean we last had sex 3 days prior to ovulation... I'm just wondering if opk can be wrong? In that they can show a surge but the egg may be released at a later date? I've never had bad random pain before other than ovulation. I'm a bit confused... Or are opks usually spot on? My temps suggest I ovulated when I originally thought I did too. If I did ovulate on the 3rd instead I'd be 9/10dpo now. Who knows 😅

@Pinkmoon23 It is super confusing with the OPKs! It depends a bit on whether you catch the start, middle or end of the surge as well. Ovulation can happen 8 - 20 hours after the peak or 28 to 36 after the start of the surge. I counted the day after the clearblue static smilie as ovulation date. I think the bbt can tell you more but don't really know how to read them

@xLJ1990x thanks for your reply! Yeah that's what I had read so it's very unlikely I ovulated that much later then? My ovulation peak was Saturday and then negative Sunday. I have read the actual egg release can be delayed despite having a surge.

If I'm actually 12dpo I should have gotten a positive by now do you think? Apparently implantation takes 48 hours though to complete, and then a day or two for Hcg to rise. So if I implanted 10dpo I wouldn't have one by now? It just seems everything I read says 12dpo should be positive, especially on frer.

Can you tell I've been googling like a maniac? 😭😭😭😂

@Pinkmoon23 I have been googling so much! There was one thread on here I read for a whole hour and didn't know where the time had gone!

According to this (see below) there is 15% chance if you were pregnant you'd still test negative

Same, I don't know why I do this to myself because ultimately it seems to just cause more disappointment. My cycles very from 27 to 31 days, but according to my apps I'm due on in 3 days time.

Ps - I look at the countdown to pregnancy site a lot! 😅

@Pinkmoon23 I was also googling the ovulation timing. I was hoping too that i ovulated later but the latest I could find was up to 48 hours after but even then the majority said the usual 24hr to 36 hour.
Though I'm sure I read in a forum somewhere that some people were getting a positive lh on a ic the day after clear blue static smiley 🤷‍♀️

I'm going to stop testing for a while. I'm stressing myself out so much it can't be healthy. Constantly doing tests to see if the line has got darker/lighter. I feel exhausted today.

@Pinkmoon23 it's a good website! I find it harder to understand what's going on with an irregular cycle. Recently most of mine were around 33 days but one was 24 days! So I had to start testing very early with the opk.

And as for the urge to poas, I just had to resist wondering if everything is OK when there isn't even any spotting. If it is still positive on Monday, then I think I will chill

@xLJ1990x it's and internet cheapie. I was super confused this cycle. I think it was my first or second post in this group but I got my clearblue digital smiley then it positive day later I think it was.

@Pinkmoon23 totally agree with you. I'm doing the exact same. Going to wait until Monday to test again, even asked hubby to hide the tests from me lol he must think im insane.
