Hi girls here is a new thread as we have nearly reached the 1000 limit x

Morning all, may I join?
I am 41, beginning of last year had 3 chemicals and nothing since.. have a first IVF starting in August but so hoped maybe will get pregnant before. I have 2 kids 21 and 9 but we always wanted 3... 🥺
Today 11-12dpo, got a shade first time, not fully white. But don't have usual symptoms, si probably imagining it. I am taking progesterone pills just in case, maybe they are messing up the results 🤷🏻‍♀️

So happy to reas here positive news!!!!! Really nervous with the whole IVF, decided to do genetic testing...but now reading some posts against

spotting has stopped thank god 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼and our little embryo is strong enough to give a blue cross today!!! I’m so completely in shock and can’t believe this might actually be happening!!! 😳😳😳
I haven’t told OH yet…. Official test day tomorrow, got blood test at 10am so I’m trying to hold out until then - I’m so glad I can come here and tell somebody!! 🤣🤣

@TT82 welcome! Quite a few of us have a lot of IVF experience here if you end up that far - both OE and DE (I’m DE) - so anything you need to know just ask! I think we could probably start our own clinic 🤣🤣

@TT82 Hi 👋 Good luck with IVF, and always that chance you’ll fall before! Plenty of us here have had IVF so any questions just ask! We had genetic testing on the 5 day blastocysts in order to give us the best chance. Happy to answer any questions on that as they come up. Good luck!

@Kelb79 Fantastic news! The brown was probably implantation, clever little embryo burrowing in ❤️ If it helps, I’ve had brown off and on, one heavy bleed and all has been well. I had a tiny bleed on Monday, so waiting a bit more nervously for my 12 week scan tomorrow. But I’ve been told that spotting and bleeding more common in IVF, probably due to meds. Praying so hard for you! 🤞🙏 xx

Oh I would definitely need all your knowledge and support! I have moved to Switzerland, and here waiting time is huge!! So we had to go with Zurich hospital, you still pay fully for it, but as it is not a private clinic, they claim they don't do unnecessary tests etc just to get money.. But attention is also NOT like from private clinic 😩 You have to drag any info, they told us initially no genetic testing, they don't advise or do. But after my reading and researching at my age and chemical pregnancy history...I am a good example to do it! When I pressed them- they said ok. Now have to wait 3 weeks for an appointment to discuss what if only like 1 embyro to test. I read here on forums in the UK they do back-to-back egg collection, to get more good embryos? So will know how they do here or what actually happens in August IVF only 4th of July

I got pregnant twice fast, so wasn't ready, thought maybe not fast but like a few months we should be successful 🤦🏻‍♀️

@TT82 My consultant said that with our ages (me 42, partner 43) that PGTA testing for chromosomal abnormalities was the “fastest way to achieve a pregnancy”. We didn’t want to put ourselves through the pain of chemicals/miscarriages if the embryos actually never stood a chance, so the testing felt like a no brainer.

I had one round of egg collection and got 6 day 5 blastocysts to test, so was incredibly lucky. We went ahead and tested all of them and only 2 were “normal”. I’m 12 weeks pregnant with one of those blasts. It’s not inexpensive, but considering the odds and time not being on our side, I’m so glad we went got it done. It’s a deeply personal decision though x

@YellowLoafers 🙏 that really helps me to know that I am not alone thinking the same!
I don't want more chemical, if all are not good I will have more time to try another round of collection etc.
in the website of the private clinic (that was really recommended but has like 1.5 years waiting time at least when I called 😭) they also explain why in my situation when it is age+chemical history better to do testing..

😱😱😱 just did digital CB... and got 1-2 weeks!
But I really don't feel like pregnancy symptoms, more PMS!
Oh now I won't relax as being 41 and having 3 chemical already.... 🥺 and no like real pregnancy signs- running to the toilet at night, full breasts.. They are bigger and sensitive but as usual with progesterone pills 🙈

These are real pregnancy symptoms you you have a positive test. I'm not one for counting chickens, but don't talk yourself into worry.

Welcome to all the new joiners, it’s a really lovely group to keep you going through all the turmoil of ttc.
Thats amazing news about the bfp @Kelb79, sorry you’ve had the stress of spotting. Hope you can get some reassurance when you see the clinic. Keeping absolutely everything crossed for you.
@YellowLoafers Is it your 12 week scan today? Imagine that feels very exciting/terrifying. Hope they tell you all you need to hear to be able to relax and enjoy the pregnancy.

Despite another (small) bleed on Tuesday, all is well! Baby was all curled up in didn’t want to pose so we didn’t get the best picture, but most importantly everything is fine. I’m measuring 12+2, which is a day ahead so that’s all spot on. I’m so relieved!

@YellowLoafers What wonderful news. Sounds like your little one has made themselves nice and comfortable! ♥️
Are you feeling more relaxed now, making it safely to the end of the first trimester is a huge milestone?

Period is due today. I’m not at all hopeful and I’m not testing at all until next week. I have no symptoms at all. I feel really sad still over my loss.
