@FfoxRedN the nausea 🤢 you have my sympathy lovely 🥲 When my niece had her baby I got her a gift from mamas and papas and I swear I walked into the shop and could feel it. It is such a good sign and when it goes you'll want it back weirdly 😘 everything crossed this is your rainbow 🌈 xx

FfoxRedN · 13/04/2023 12:38

@MrsJGrealish @bringmearainbow I am just craving carbs. So plain stuff but bread, chips, baked beans, nothing to crazy! I am also filling up on fruit so hopefully can temper it a little bit. I'm already SOOO bloated!
Thank you, just a couple more days to get through, then hopefully get another scan 10 days after xx

Indianna2006 · 13/04/2023 13:05

@FfoxRedN I was sooo bloated at beginning it made me look really pregnant! But it was way more bloat than baby. Luckily it calmed down. It’s all those crazy hormones flying around!

bringmearainbow · 13/04/2023 13:09

@FfoxRedN I don't know if it's too early for cravings but I honestly could eat a crisp sandwich everyday multiple times a day 😂 luckily I already had a poochy tummy from the last 2 it never really went away so although I know I'm more bloated than I was no one has given me the double look yet 😂 I am wishing so badly for you everything is ok ❤️

bunnykins123 · 13/04/2023 15:04

@MrsJGrealish I do totally understand why you feel that way. Like @FfoxRedN we want to continue to cheer you on but would understand if you decided this was the right decision for you and the fam.

@bringmearainbow @FfoxRedN I ate all the carbs early on. Literally the big bags of crisps kept me going and plain buttered pasta. Then the sickness kicked in and that's when things got tough. The crisps helped here too though! My symptoms massively fluctuated; I could feel the corpus luteum pumping hormones into me (really painful on the left hand side) and the symptoms would really ramp up when it became painful. Other days I had no symptoms whatsoever. It's a total 🤯 remind me how many weeks you both are now?

Just a quick update had my 20 week scan today and all is well! Yippee! Feels so weird to have made it this far - I FINALLY feel like I can get excited about this baby! 💕

Alexis7890 · 13/04/2023 15:10

@bunnykins123 i was literally about to write a message asking if fluctuating symptoms is normal, most days my boobs have been so painful but today they’re practically normal again so I can’t help but worry things are going wrong. Yay for your scan going so well! Congratulations 🥳

bringmearainbow · 13/04/2023 15:11

@bunnykins123 ahhhh that's awesome ❤️ i can't remember are you having a surprise or did you find out gender? Well I'm 4 weeks from ovulation but lmp puts me at 4+4 today. I haven't adjusted my dates for nhs I can't be arsed

LuckyMoonstone · 13/04/2023 15:13

@bunnykins123 yay for 20 weeks 🥳 I cannot wait to be over the halfway hump! 12 days to go…
I can’t remember if you’ve already said, have you told your work yet?

bunnykins123 · 13/04/2023 17:03

@Alexis7890 honestly, I worried so much in the 1st tri - so much boobie groping to check to see if my boobs were sore. I found up till about 8 weeks I would have 2 days on and 2 days off symptoms. Then the morning sickness kicked in which was a bit more consistent but still wasn't always there. I even made notes on my phone to see if there was a pattern 😂 so defo fluctuating / no symptoms don't mean anything! How many weeks are you now?

@bringmearainbow thank you lovely! It's been such a journey to get to this point, I'm actually still a bit in shock. We do know the gender, it's a little boy! I'm getting really excited now 💕 ah that's good, how are you feeling?

@LuckyMoonstone thank you! It's such a relief after all the stress and worry. I actually told them last week / this week. They all suspected (hard not too, I have a bump) but nobody said anything. How are you feeling? I'm SO itchy. Urgh.

FfoxRedN · 13/04/2023 17:56

@bunnykins123 I'm 7w4d today, congratulations on your 20 week scan! That's amazing and I assume all is going well? How have you found the steroids?
I never thought about the pain being from the corpus luteum, it absolutely makes sense! Mine is on my left side which is where I ovulated from and sometimes when I sit down it's such a sharp pain...thank you for the insight!!!

@bringmearainbow it's definitely not too early for cravings, your hormones will be going wild already xxx

LuckyMoonstone · 13/04/2023 19:21

@bunnykins123 haha I’m the same, I haven’t told anyone at work yet but I’ve seen some of the other women looking at me funny when I walk past, they definitely suspect! Gonna wait til after my scan week after next. I’m feeling alright thank you, still get the odd nausea and achy boobs, it’s like being in the first trimester again! Ooh I don’t know about itching, my hands are itchy but that’s eczema. And sometimes my boobs😂

Indianna2006 · 13/04/2023 19:37

@bunnykins123 yay for 20 week scan. It does feel like a milestone doesn’t it 🥰🥰 and nice to think half way there. It will fly by now 🙂🙂 xx

TheBirdintheCave · 13/04/2023 20:58

A lowly 3dpo today. Plan is to test next Friday at 10dpo (futile based on dtd attempts but stranger things have happened) and order the IVF medication when I see a negative.

G is doing ok with potty training. We're just going to keep going and see how he is on Sunday as to whether we continue.

I just hate how the last three goes of ttc have gone wrong for us somehow 😢 Even if we had normal fertility levels (which our consultant says we do but I don't see how as we don't get pregnant easily at all) it would have been cocked up.

It's all so irritating. I just wish at the start I could think 'Oh well, in three months of good attempts I'll be pregnant again' but if we left it naturally it could take another year.

I was in a miscarriage group with other girls who lost babies in December and about 70% of them are pregnant again so it's basically a pregnancy group now 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

Why am I never the lucky one? 😭

Sorry ladies. Just feeling like the poor relation now 😂 Not that anyone here makes me feel like that, just myself.

Still, I feel better than the other day. Just need to get IVF over with so we can give up and move on with our lives.

TheBirdintheCave · 13/04/2023 21:00

Also, good luck @Indianna2006 !! I hope you're first on the list.

@bunnykins123 I can't believe you're at 20 weeks already. Mind blown.

@bringmearainbow That's a nice rise with the HCG! I'm impressed they agreed to take bloods.

bringmearainbow · 13/04/2023 21:11

@bunnykins123 ahh yes I do remember you finding out the gender now ❤️ I feel ok still just exhausted and my backache is awful thank the lord for hot water bottles 😂

@Indianna2006 can't wait to see a snap sending you so much ❤️ for tomorrow I hope your in nice and speedy 🤞🏼 xxx

@TheBirdintheCave I am glad you're feeling a little better than the other day lovely. It's a hard headspace to crawl up from when you feel a bit left behind but you will get there and you have a plan. They just told me to come in for bloods first I suppose they don't want to book you in for a scan until they numbers are high enough they might see something 🤔

TheBirdintheCave · 13/04/2023 21:48

@bringmearainbow My EPU just say 'Oh we don't do that' 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

bringmearainbow · 13/04/2023 22:02

@TheBirdintheCave I find it so strange that they all have different rules 🤷🏼‍♀️

Alexis7890 · 13/04/2023 22:30

@bunnykins123 omg I don’t think I’ve ever groped my boobs so much just to see how they feel! 4+5, should get an early scan from the nhs clinic who did my fertility treatment at 7 weeks but I’m tempted to book a private one the week before because I’m so impatient and can’t really believe it might actually be happening!

@Indianna2006 good luck for tomorrow!

@TheBirdintheCave be kind to yourself and look after yourself, do whatever you need to do. The being left behind feeling can be horrible, but you have a plan and you will get there

bunnykins123 · 13/04/2023 22:50

@Alexis7890 it's true, I was constantly doing it! Do whatever you feel is best in terms of scans, I had 3 until 12 weeks then another at 17 and now 20 so this baby has been really well observed!

@bringmearainbow honestly I forgot how tired I was. I was almost face planting into my desk as I was absolutely wiped. That alongside bloating, wind and sore breasts seemed to be my main ones in the first few weeks.

@LuckyMoonstone totally understandable. If it wasn't for people randomly congratulating me then I probably would have waited too 😂 yep the boobs are the worst. I remember this with DD but forgot how itchy they got! Glad you're feeling ok!

@Indianna2006 fingers crossed I can enjoy it a bit more now. And best of luck tomorrow!! Keep us updated once she's arrived 💕💕

@TheBirdintheCave totally understand how you're feeling. It's hard when you feel like you're the last, believe me when I say I've been there many times on this journey both online and personally. Like others have said, try to stay positive in that you have a plan and will be able to start with this next month if this month doesn't work out. IVF has really good success rates and from what I remember you have a really good clinic who are looking after you.

@FfoxRedN thanks lovely! Wow you're already so far! I didn't get given steroids, only hydroxychloroquine. I was given cyclogest but never used it as my progesterone was always pretty high anyway (if anyone wants some for free let me know as I have heaps!) now you know, you'll really notice it as your symptoms suddenly ramp up too! What meds are you on at the moment?

calimc83 · 14/04/2023 07:39

@bunnykins123 ahh can't believe u are 20 weeks already! So happy for you and pleased your scan went well 🥰 I didn't realise u were just behind @LuckyMoonstone so exciting!! @Indianna2006 can't wait for an update 😍 xx

Alexis7890 · 14/04/2023 15:50

Has anyone used Medichecks HCG tests? I’ve got impatient and ordered some, my husband clearly thinks I’m losing my mind but they should arrive next week, then test 48 hours apart and see what the results say?

bringmearainbow · 14/04/2023 15:56

@Alexis7890 I have. the results can sometimes be a bit slow esp if you're near the weekend but they do come through on a weekend too just might take longer. It's all easy to use and send off. DW husbands always think we're cuckoo 😂

Alexis7890 · 14/04/2023 16:07

@bringmearainbow hes gone with order them if you want if you think it’ll help…I’m the tone of voice and face saying ‘you’re losing your mind’ 😂 meh I’ve ordered them now so hoping they come early next week so I can do them Tuesday/Thursday or wednesday/Friday. I just want to see levels are where they should be and are still going up for some reassurance as the nhs won’t do anything for me until 7 weeks, that feels too far away 😂

bringmearainbow · 14/04/2023 16:11

@Alexis7890 they do say try not to send on a Friday. If it turns up Monday see if you can get it out that day the closer to the weekend it is the more chance it won't get delivered in time then the sample is ruined

Alexis7890 · 14/04/2023 16:13

@bringmearainbow ooh good to know thank you! It’s 1-2 day delivery so might not ship until Monday so be with me Tuesday/Wednesday I’m thinking?
