@bringmearainbow I think the fear creeping in when scans are due is totally normal. I found the day of my scans I was an absolutely mess, couldn't concentrate, over-googled everything and just felt awful.

@MrsJGrealish lovely coloured nail polish - you've reminded me to get mine done this weekend as we are away to the sun next week!

@FfoxRedN slowly getting there. 2 weeks old today she is and 2 weeks out from op. Still having lots of twinges and tummy still feels really swollen. But presume this is normal for this stage? Aimed at @LuckyMoonstone @bunnykins123 who've had sections. My tummy deff hasn’t gone down like it did with my DD and VB.

otherwise just in the newborn haze if not knowing if it’s night or day 😴😂 but enjoying it none the less 🥰

@Indianna2006 yes that sounds normal, I’m sorry to say my stomach looked horrendous for weeks afterwards 😂 I was like wtf have I done to my body 😭

@LuckyMoonstone oh don’t! 🤣🙈 I had such bad afterpains 😫 it was going down quite fast. A now it’s like halted at like 3 months pregnant. But it isn’t fat. Cos I can’t grab it. It’s hard. Like bloat or swelling or abdominal seperation will needs to heal.
so I’ll presume it will resolve slowly but yeh makes choosing an outfit very hard as I have none!
glad rest sounds normal though. It feels so tender still in there Altho moving is easier. But hopefully by 6 weeks out I’ll be getting there.
has only been 2 which is no time at all I guess

AF rudely turned up a day earlier than expected today. It gets more difficult each month. I probably just need now to accept that this is the way things are, get myself back on the pill (hoping they'd still give me the combined at 40?) and run packs together so I don't have the bloody (excuse the pun) reminder each month. There was a tiny bit of me this cycle that was hopeful because we'd managed O-3, O-2, O, and O+1....but nope (I seem to recall that last April too "should" have been successful in terms of timely DTD efforts). Onto the 15th cycle post MC 😩😭. I feel broken, I really do. I keep thinking I "should" have a 5 month now, plenty of mat leave left which would also cover DD1s transfer to junior school this September (which will be a logistical nightmare with DD2 still at infant school 20 minutes walk away). Last year should have been so different, but instead we took in a refugee family (which we wouldn't have been able to do with a newborn) but the whole experience has kind of scarred us and killed DH enthusiasm for another DC, and I still feel huge guilt for the way things turned out and having to end things at the 6 months mark. The family seem well and have now found their own place I think but I still think I could have done better. Sorry, I'm babbling and having a pity party...

@curliegirlie No need to apologise ❤ This is a safe space to rant as much as you want. Looking back on dates and thinking of what should have been is so difficult. I've booked some holiday for what would have been my July due date.

Baby is there and is still fighting strong. Measuring bang on for LMP dates at 9w3d. I cried before I even got in there but bless the sonographer she found the heartbeat SO fast. Even left it on the screen for ages so we could see it wriggling around.
I've not stopped crying since, which I think is actually the anxiety of it all coming out. I strangely feel more nervous now about the next few weeks xx

@bringmearainbow yeah she was so lovely I said we were away in two weeks (annoyingly seperately over 10 days) so she has booked us in for another on the 9th May so a bit early, 12 week scan on the 23rd 🙏🏼 xx
