Does implantation feel like this?

Hi everyone. So, here I am again in the dreaded 2WW. This is mine and hubby’s 10th month of trying for our second child. This month I ovulated on cycle day 13. 7dpo I was busy working and suddenly felt a very strange feeling to the right of my belly button like my muscles were being stroked on the inside! Really strange and not painful at all but very noticeable. I pulled my waistband away from my tummy and it was still happening for about a minute or so. 8dpo I was sat watching tv and I got 2 very sharp twinges about half a minute apart that lasted for just a few seconds each. Both times I gasped out loud as it was that strong! Like being prodded with a knitting needle I would guess. It was slightly to the left side low down and after the second time I didn’t feel anything else. Could this be implantation? I never felt anything like it’s my daughter that I know of but it was 10 years ago now. I have tested twice this month; yesterday and today and both bfn. If it was implantation on Tuesday evening then it’s only 36 hours ago so I guess I’m too early. If anyone has had this happen to them were you pregnant? This is a new one for me as each month I tend to just get the dreams, moodiness, cramps and sore boobs etc. I do hope this is it! Good luck to all of you who are ttc. I hope this is your month ☺️

Hope this is your month but very unlikely what you felt was implantation. It happens at a cellular level which you would not be able to feel.

Of course you will hear confirmation bias from people who think they felt it, but in reality if you feel a random pain when you're not looking for a reason you just generally forget about it.

I've been pregnant 3 times and never had any real symptoms until my missed period. Equally have mistaken things for symptoms when TTC because we just do.

Fingers crossed you do get a bfp this month though!

@Emilia35 thank you for your honesty. I googled it of course and the first thing that came up on google was this (screenshot attached) which gave me hope that what I felt was implantation. Everyone seems to have different opinions. You are right about the looking for every little thing though. When I was pregnant with my daughter I don’t remember having any symptoms at all (I was on honeymoon when we conceived and swimming etc every day so I didn’t have time to over think everything I guess) x

I actually felt more symptoms before a period than I did when I fell pregnant! I was symptomless (apart from a missed period) until around 8 weeks when I was so sick. Prior to periods I’d have cramps, sharp pains in my uterus, bigger breasts etc.

I experienced something like that. I had a stabbing pain with my son that I remember vividly - had never felt anything like it before. Didn't test until missed period though.

I had implantation pain so strong once that I ended up in A&E. The Dr there told me it was probably implantation pain when I said I thought I might be pregnant. It felt pretty much as you describe.

I only managed to get to 2 weeks but I didn't have any implantation sensations. I was shocked to even see a positive. The only thing I can say that I felt during that time was what felt like alot of bowel/ intestinal issues

@Ecdysiast thank you. I’m hoping it was a good sign as is so unusual for me. Good to know others have experienced similar and then gone on to be pregnant. X

Ive had this this week (strong discomfort and stabby pains slightly to one side) and i am feeling sick and had a few other signs but would only be 3 weeks tomorrow.

Most people dont get signs this early but with DC2 I did. I was sick done a test neg a week later was still feeling sick so done another test and was pos.

So i would say there is some hope. When are you gonna be testing OP?

@LittleWings22 I am going to hold off until Saturday morning which is 12 dpo for me and 2 days before af due. From what I’ve read some people do get a bfp before 12 dpo but if you want a 99% accurate result then use a clearblue or a first response 6 days early test at 12 dpo. How about you? I hope we both get our bfps this month 🙏 x

Tests can be so expensive. Ive always preferred first response and found them more accurate. If you are near a b&m they may do a twin pack of clear-blue for £5 and a good date on them. (At least mine it) might be worth checking out.

I am going to hold off from testing until next weekend as next Friday will be 4 weeks from my last period.

I felt it (I swear) with DC 2 and 3. I swear your insides are more sensitive once you’ve had one child.

I know I was pregnant even before the end of my cycle. I ate a Minstrel it tasted so odd.

I think that’s what you felt. Honestly 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm 2 days late and yesterday afternoon started to have this horrible stabbing sensation in my stomach area, was almost crippling at some points. Only lasted maybe 10 minutes then stopped but then it started up again in late evening alongside the worst nausea ever 🤢 I have honestly never felt so sick. And as you can see it's that bad that I can't even get to sleep and I'm awake at this ridiculous hour 😭

I did a test the other morning on a cheapie and got this result. I'm not really sure how to take it but kinda looks like an indent to me 🤷‍♀️

@anon1411 sorry to hear you are so poorly. I would test again using FMP & fingers crossed it will be a stronger line.

I felt it too, twice. I knew I was pregnant well before testing.

We don’t have a B&M near he sadly. I have a 2 pack of clearblue early response in the bathroom to use. I will keep you posted. Good luck for next weekend 🍀 x

@HaggisBurger i think you are right about your body being more sensitive after baby no. 1.
I have read that lots of times before. I really hope this is it! I will be testing tomorrow. I also had an awful taste of blood in my mouth yesterday out of nowhere . . I don’t have any issue with teeth or gums etc so I’m hoping it’s the famous metallic taste 🙏 x

@anon1411 I would get yourself a reliable test as that could have been a bfp the other day. If you’re 2 days late that’s surely a good sign? Ti wouldn’t go by the nausea though as I have had 2/3 months where I had random nausea and still bfn. It’s common in the leaf up to af and stress can make it worse. I would do a first response test as that would definitely show up for you now. Good luck. I hope this is your month x

@VioletPickles oh wow! I wish I knew without the doubt. I’m scared to test as the negative tests are soil destroying. I really hope this is it as it’s a completely new thing to me that I’ve not had the other 9 months of trying. I have felt pregnant all 9 months of ttc but wasn’t 🤪😭 This month I don’t feel like I am (I never felt pregnant with my daughter before I got my bfp). Bizarre! X

So, I woke up with really bad ringing in my ears this morning! I haven’t had this since I was a teenager and used to go to noisy clubs! This combined with the metallic/blood taste I got yesterday in my mouth made me cave. I tested with a clearblue test. It said wait 3 minutes. I did and it was blank. After 10 minutes however this line was there! Any thoughts? Is it an evap line? Hubby is heading out soon and is going to bring be back some first response tests. I daren’t get excited yet 😬😭🙏
