3DPO in the two week wait - anyone else?

Hi Everyone,

I am currently 3DPO and beginning the agonising 2ww period.

this is the first month I managed to actually catch my peak on OPK’s which I think it making it all the more agonising.

i’m not holding out much hope, myself and my husband have been trying for around 9 months, but this month is the first time I’ve got more of an idea of when I ovulated which I think is making things worse.

I’m already reading into anything weird that is happening with my body, and would really appreciate the company during the next 2 weeks.

@cantstandmuchmore welcome! I can relate as I have a DD already but got pregnant as soon as I stopped contraception with her, this time I’m on cycle 9 TTC. I’m 38, was just gone 34 when I got pregnant with DD. You could test at 10DPO but I don’t think a BFN at 10DPO is definitive, so I wouldn’t lose heart if it’s BFN. Same for you @scandiontheloose, still hoping it’s your month!

@SophT27 I wouldn’t count yourself out yet, testing in the evening on 8DPO was probably unlikely to give an accurate result anyway. Try hold off another few days. Fingers crossed!

I, however, am definitely out, AF arrived right on cue. Oh well!

Ah AF is here...least the suspense is over and not worrying about a Christmas baby 🤣

@scandiontheloose neither of us are out until AF arrives. It just feels like such a long wait doesn’t it. I’m cycle day 25 today, according to my OPK’s I ovulated late but that isn’t unusual for me. It just seems like a longer wait that usual 😂 which is all the more agonising. I haven’t told DH as I don’t see the point in putting ideas into his head that might be nothing.

Hahahah I am still hopeful!
I just need to stop myself from testing until AF so Thu/Fri is the expected arrival.
I haven't said anything to my fiancé either cos it's just double the disappointment if I get him excited as well.
I bought a pack of clear blues this morning on the way to work so I'll be ready for end of the week 😂

@scandiontheloose a double disappointment is it exactly. I don’t even tell him when I’ve got my peak on OPK’s etc. - I’m trying to keep the romance there and it does seem to work.

I don’t know about you, but even though I know that you aren’t out of the game until AF arrives, it’s still very difficult to remain positive isn’t it. I so hope this month is our month, but I’m also trying so hard not to get my hopes up. It’s hard.

Yeah I'm the same, don't want to overload him with my BBT charts before romantic date night cos that'll just put pressure on him too. After all babymaking is supposed to be fun so think it's enough that I know when my ovulation peak is etc.

Had some serious cramps at the gym after work so half of me is "ohhh maybe..." and the other half is "that's is AF is coming"

I will hold off on testing tho until end of week ✨✌🏼

@scandiontheloose how are you feeling this morning?

I’ve woken up with crampy period type pains so I think AF might be on the way. I do still have a little bit of nausea, but it’s not as bad as earlier in the week so I think that was maybe just a bug.

Woken up with a blocked nose and full feeling boobs. Although I get the boob thing sometimes with AF too so can't say I haven't had this before. The only symptom I haven't had with AF is this gassiness. It is actually ridiculous how farty I've been for the past few days and I can't explain why that is.

But still holding on for testing on Friday morning I think✨

i’ve had AF like cramps today - so much so that I actually thought AF had arrived, it certainly felt that way. But no, nothing.

I’ll be 12DPO on Friday and I’m not working so I might do a FMU test on Friday as I still have 2 of my cheapies left. If that is a BFN I’ll wait till AF arrives to put me out of my misery 😂

@kalixxx how many DPO are you today?

I stupidly tested this afternoon at 10dpo and got an evap 🙄 Should have just waited til Friday like I planned.

I didn’t test today, but only because I couldn’t. I’m sure if I needed a wee when I got home from work I would be in the same boat as you.

@SophT27 8DPO today, I said I’d wait until AF was due but can’t see it happening, so 10 DPO might be more achievable 😅

I cracked and re-tested.

Felt so nauseous this morning I just had to.

Not sure if it's a VVFL or am I just seeing this. Have a look and let me know if I'm right or seeing things 😂😂😂😂

If it's a BFN then AF is really taking me for a ride this cycle with these symptoms 😈😅

@scandiontheloose I see that :) Those tests are notorious for evaps though. Is it blue in real life?

@SophT27 I'm ok. Tested this morning and got the same faint evap line so I'm pretty sure I'm out as it would be darker by now if it were real. Guess I'll just wait for AF on Sunday now 😅

Think it's very very faint, think I just better re-test tomorrow and/or Saturday if AF hasn't arrived. I took the photo within the 3-5 min timeframe tho as I've learnt my lesson about re-checking your tests after 20mins .

See if AF comes now I'm gonna be fumin 😂😂😂

I tested with FMU this morning and it was a BFN - stark white - today I’m 11DPO. I think I have lost hope to be honest. But so excited for you.

I caved this morning at 9 DPO and went to get a FRER however 3 different shops on my high street didn’t have one! So I settled for the same as yours and got a BFN 🙄 Hoping I’m just too early but my gut is telling me this isn’t my month ☹️

Eeekkkkk! Ok yes I'll re-test tomorrow.
I'm 13DPO and AF due tomorrow.
I was so nauseous this morning and even the smell of tea made me almost boke.
This blocked nose/headache is still here and not budging so I hope it's BFP cos otherwise I've just been feeling like shit for nothing😅

Well if this is a VVFL I'm still a few days ahead of you so don't give up hope just yet.
I have done a deep dive of these TTC threads and so many people have BFNs for ages and then like 18 DPO bam it's a positive ✨🌸

Awh just re-test in a few days, 9 DPO is so early but I also get it, cos it's so hard not to test and then it's so disheartening when it's a negative 🙁 fingers crossed it was just too early!
I want us all to get BFPs 🙌🏼

@scandiontheloose all your symptoms are sounding good!! I’ve also done extensive research of these threads to seem how many late BFP there are and there are loads! Keep us updated!

I’m actually not even 100% I’m 9 DPO, I may only be 8 😅 why can I not resist peeing on a stick so early each cycle, I did it every time 😩😂

I honestly am a POAS addict, it’s nice to come on here and realise a lot of us have no self control when it comes to that 😂 How people wait until after AF is due I’ll never know but really admire 😂

Myself and @SophT27 tried so hard to resist until AF but as you can see that didn't work 😂😂

@kalixxx I feel your pain, but if you are only 8 or 9DPO it is still very early.

i’ve also been trawling the internet to find information about hcg levels on DPO, sensitivity of tests, people who had BFN and went on to have BFP. And I am a POAS addict, I tell myself I won’t do it and then I do it anyway. Please know that you are not alone 😂

@scandiontheloose your symptoms do sound good. I really hope this is it for you and I’m keeping everything crossed for an even bigger BFP tomorrow morning.

I still don’t feel great, I’ve still got a bit of nausea, I’m absolutely shattered and something just feels off or different. I’ve had cramps on and off since yesterday - yesterday I was convinced AF had arrived as I had that feeling so dashed to the toilet and nothing. Tomorrow will be 12 DPO and I’m wondering if I should leave testing completely tomorrow and wait until after the weekend or test again in the morning.

those people who wait until they are late but have the patience of saints. Because I certainly do not have that will power at all.
