3DPO in the two week wait - anyone else?

Hi Everyone,

I am currently 3DPO and beginning the agonising 2ww period.

this is the first month I managed to actually catch my peak on OPK’s which I think it making it all the more agonising.

i’m not holding out much hope, myself and my husband have been trying for around 9 months, but this month is the first time I’ve got more of an idea of when I ovulated which I think is making things worse.

I’m already reading into anything weird that is happening with my body, and would really appreciate the company during the next 2 weeks.

Hi @Amyc24 we all need company on the 2WW. Me andDH aren’t together this weekend so it will be hard without his support on hand! how are you feeling this cycle? Did you OPK?

@scandiontheloose I am leading by example and have also just got another batch of OPK’s which are arriving next week.

how long do you test for after your peak? Or should I say, do you test after your peak?

@NarnieJoy when are you looking to test?
Yea I used clearblue digital and also cheap opk’s.. I’d love to not test until AF is due but knowing me lol not sure I can resist.
did you do anything different this cycle?

we just did it lots! Used preseed and I have given up alcohol - mainly because it made me anxious…

how many cycles in are you?

@NarnieJoy do you mind me asking what preseed is? I’ve not heard of that.

@SophT27 im not an expert - but it’s a type of lubricant that isn’t meant to harm the swimmers! We’ve always used lube our whole relationship so just switched to something TTC friendly!

Know we shouldn’t symp spot but I’ve got these cramps which feel like my uterus is being flipped upside down?!?

I also used preseed so fingers crossed. I think I will start testing from 9dpo, if you’re cramping I hear that’s a good sign. A lot of people who have conceived experience cramping in the tww x

@NarnieJoy ah ok, I hadn’t heard of it. We don’t use lube generally but would be willing to give it a try if it helps with conception.

you are a little bit further along than me but like @Amyc24 I’ve heard that cramping is a good sign.

it’s so frustrating though isn’t it, that conception symptoms can be the same as pre menstrual symptoms.

@SophT27 i don’t think there is any evidence it aids conception, rather it just doesn’t stop the swimmers getting to their final destination!

have you tried anything this month different?

@NarnieJoy it has been the first month I’ve caught my peak on OPK’s, rather than just replying on the predicted ovulation day on flo, but other than that, nothing different at all.

I really hope it will be our month, but after an initial high after seeing the peak on OPK I’m starting to feel less hopeful (no idea why).

@SophT27 I always get a bit less hopeful the more days I get closer to testing. I just caved and tested, bfn but I know it’s only 8dpo and I am sure of my dates. Locking the tests away until Monday if AF hasn’t shown up… which I get the feeling she will!

@NarnieJoy humans are funny creatures aren’t they. Today is 5DPO for me and so definitely no point in testing, plus I don’t have any tests left at home and I am going to hold of buying to stop me testing too early.

@SophT27 i just feel normal and like nothing has changed. Thankfully I am not wiping blood when I go to the loo, which is normally happening by now.

@SophT27 the temptation to test is huge but I will hold off until next week. AF is predicted 23/3 so I won't buy any tests until then ✌🏼

Are you feeling anything out of the ordinary yet? I remember my sister telling me when she was early on pregnant that she had really vivid dreams and that's how she knew she was pregnant the second time before testing when she had those dreams again.

I know what you mean, I'm trying to stay positive but also ordered more OPKs incase AF returns next week.
I've noticed my CM is still quite plentiful but it usually calms down good 5 days before AF so if it's stays as it is...it could be a good sign as well.

@NarnieJoy that sounds like a good sign. And feeling normal is probably not a bad thing either. I’ve heard not everyone has symptoms.

@scandiontheloose no, nothing really. Apart from being tired, but that is probably work. I always have quite weird and vivid dreams so that isn’t unusual for me really.

I’ve done the same as you and have ordered more OPK’s and will not buy any PT’s until we are closer to AF being due.

have you felt anything out of the ordinary?

Just got white cm, I woke up feeling like I’d been out partying all night. But I’d just had a quiet one!

away this weekend so hopefully I’ll be really busy and distracted.

@NarnieJoy at least you’ll be kept busy. I’ve been out today with my sister and my niece and that has taken my mind off things a little bit.

I’ve been really tired this week, but two people have told me how well I look so I’ll take that.

Hi everyone, I've just checked and noticed that the cycles app I use doesn't update the prediction for AF arriving despite putting positive OPK test result in, so based on my average cycle tomorrow is day 29 and AF is due but as I'll only be 7dpo I'm sure it's not accurate.

So I'll revisit testing until Monday.

@googledidnthelp thats frustrating. What app do you use?

@SophT27 it's literally called cycles 🤣 sorry should have been clear, it's a great app and as first time I've used opk never really thought anything about it!

@googledidnthelp oh 😂 I’ve not heard of that one. I use Flo, I input my OPK after someone on this thread said that you could (I was clueless) and it did change the predicted date that AF was due based on this.

Which I wasn’t happy about, but only because it’s longer to wait as I ovulated later than the app thought.

it’s agonising isn’t it. I’m 5DPO and I feel so up and down. Optimistic, then completely disheartened. I feel like a mad woman.

I've felt some cramping on one side of lower abdomen but try not to read too much into it.
Also (TMI warning) really horrible gas, like ngl if I had eaten a giant pot of bean stew every day I would be like "yeah probs my own fault" but I haven't eaten anything out of the ordinary so I'm wondering could that be a sign or is the universe just making fun of me and made me into a walking whoopie cushion in the past few days 😂😂😂

Also I might be going mad with this TWW 😂

AF due this Thursday coming 23/3 so guess we'll see 🙈😂

@scandiontheloose they all sound like quite positive symptoms, how many DPO are you now?

I had some weird dreams last night 😂 about my friend and a piano. I’ve still got some cramps, but no AF yet.

You had weird dreams! Ahahaha I hope it's not just me talking about it making your unconscious going haywire but rather a good sign.

My belly has been cramping like somebody put a spin cycle on, really strange but I try not to overthink. Just yet anyways 😂🙈

According to my OPK’s I would be 6DPO today (possibly 7 at a push).

I do have odd dreams sometimes, last nights were spectacularly weird 😂 I actually text my friend about the dream I had about her as it was so ridiculous.

I had some cramps today and I felt like I was on fire. But we had gone out for the day, we’d done a bit of walking and I had a coat on 🫣🤣

I don’t have any PT’s at home at the moment and I’m trying to not buy any for at least a week. But it’s difficult isn’t it.

if you do hold off, will you wait until AF is late to test?
