Hey ladies! Talk to me, how many days did you get flashing smiling faces, before the static? And are you testing more than once a day once you have the flashing smiley? I am doing both CB and my strip tests. However the strip tests seem so low. Worried they are dud!
I got the first flashing smiley yesterday and now today. I saw some reviews that people have had flashing smiley faces for 9 days and then test stopped working.. xxx

18 days flashing was my longest, it was never less than 12. Couldn’t afford to keep using the tests as it was getting ridiculous, I never saw a static with them unfortunately.

MrsSB2023 · 19/02/2023 17:55

I only get one flashing smiley then straight to static, usually test twice a day. This cycle I had an empty circle at 12pm flashing at 11pm and a static 7am the next day. My LH surge is really quick but I know people can have a few days of flashing. The strips seem to be a bit behind the CB in picking up the surge in my opinion

Floralsandsmiles · 19/02/2023 18:02

Thanks ladies! My predicted ovulation is either tomorrow or Tuesday, so hoping its static tomorrow or Tuesday! Xxx

I've been using them for a couple of months since ttc #2. First month i had a very quick surge and went from one morning blanks circle to next morning static smiley. This cycle I had a blank circle am then ovulation cramps during the day so tested again in the evening and had a solid smiley. When I was ttc my DD I remember having flashing smileys for a couple of days. I never got results from strip tests though, they just didn't work for me. It's so varied x

Floralsandsmiles · 19/02/2023 18:21

O OK thank you @Honolulu123
I don't know why the strips aren't working for me either? Do some people just not have alot of LH?
And I know sometime the cycle can move fast, so I'm checking a few times each day , just so I don't miss it!! Xxx

This month I’ve used both, had empty circle then 3 days of flashing before the static. The cheap strips showed the peak the day before the CB static! I test mid morning but did another cheapie the evening I got the positive and it was barely there, but then the next morning (when I got the static cb smiley) it was strong line again 🤔
I think DTD every couple of days for the full cycle would be a better approach but the thought of that is exhausting 😅

I’ve been using the CB and strips both for the first time this month. I had I think 7/8 days of flashing before static as I started on CD 9 or 10 like it suggested and I didn’t get a static til CD17. I was doing CB in the AM and then strip in the evening, never saw any sign of a peak on the strips. It’s all so confusing to be honest! I agree with past poster that DTD every other day is better. I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase for next month yet or not.

TTCno1in23 · 19/02/2023 21:51

I think I’ve got enough for one more cycle, after that I’m gonna change my approach because they’re so pricey! 🥲

Luna0905 · 19/02/2023 22:49

I’ve been using the CB for 3 months and had been getting 2-3 days of flashing but this month I had 6 days of flashing and was testing with FMU and late evening. I thought the peak wasn’t going to come this month but it eventually did at CD16 PM. I did have a CP last month so think it may have pushed ovulation back by a day or two.
good luck to everyone xxx

MrsSB2023 · 19/02/2023 23:17

Hi @Luna0905 how you doing? I lost the last thread haha. What DPO are you on now?

Luna0905 · 20/02/2023 00:31

Oh hey @MrsSB2023! I’m doing okay thanks, how are you? I’m 7dpo now, what are you on? Going mad symptom spotting already 😂😂 xx

MrsSB2023 · 20/02/2023 09:33

@Luna0905 I’m 4 DPO today, trying not to symptom spot but it’s so hard isn’t it! Fingers crossed this month is our month 🤞🏼

Floralsandsmiles · 20/02/2023 11:57

Still no static smiley 😕
I read up, and the flashing smiley is when estrogen is detected in a surge and you have a high fertility chance. It goes static when you have a surge in LH also, as both peaks mean it's your ovulation day.. so clearly I have low LH 😔😒 xxxx

@TTCno1in23 this is my 3rd day now on flashing smiley, I had x2 days of empty circle before that. ovulation is predicted to be either today or tomorrow... and as I'm always on tune with AF, so cycle and dates marry up, I'm inclined to believe the predicted ovulation dates. It's just worrying me as LH isn't increasing.. xxx

They’re really good at looking at tint differences in LH, the more you do the more it learns what your usual levels are.

I had a static on day 11 when I fell pregnant with my second (ovulated 3 days later than I expected). I would only do one a day with the longest overnight hold (but gross but if I went to the loo in the evening I’d keep some pee and test that in the morning if my next hold was shorter).

Thanks for this @Luna0905! I'm worried as to if my LH will ever rise 😔
I would love to know how successful these tests are with BFP afterwards as they are pinpointing the exact days.. xxx

Thank you @Scalessayeek. I'm now CD14 and I'm supposed to ovulate today or tomorrow (ideally). Was just expecting it to have risen by now...
I'm probably imagining it, but after DTD yesterday, I could feel strange cramping in my left side. But I know it's way to early. Just wishing maybe xxx

I’m sure it will, definitely keep up doing them twice a day if you can! I got really disheartened this month when it took ages, I got excited when it finally came 😂
I definitely think I’d been missing ovulation some months before we started using the CB - I have PCOS so no idea what happened to my cycles some months. Since I’ve been using them, it’s the only time I’ve ever had a BFP even thought it was a chemical so definitely think the help!
Keep us updated! I will let you know if I get my BFP this month - 7dpo today! Xx

Ah amazing, hope the TWW is passing ok for you! I did say I wasn’t testing early but agreed with DH that I’m allowed to do one on Saturday morn which will be 12dpo 😂 I had strong cramps this morning that I could barely stand up so hopefully that’s a good sign. I’m really hoping this is both our months 🥰
nice to have a TWW buddy again ☺️ xxx

Thank you @Luna0905 😊 I will definitely keep up on the testing twice a day! Just hoping this static is soon or then isn't it the luteal phase isn't long enough? 😒
And yes - please let me know if you get your BFP! I'm crossing all my fingers for you! Xxx

I’m usually ovulating on CD14 but mine was CD17 this month, I'm sure a couple of days won’t make too much of a difference xxx
