I agree about first response, convinced myself I had a bfp last month after 2 different indent lines. Was a rollercoaster

MilkyAndFluffy · 21/02/2023 22:08

@Maxime34 i honestly don’t think I’ve ever noticed any symptoms around ovulation, I see lots of you guys talking about EWCM but I’ve never spotted it until a few days after my surge and it’s always like a bright white colour (like cooked egg whites) and continues pretty much till the day before my AF so I don’t think that’s the correct discharge. when I’ve looked into it apparently ovulation discharge is like raw egg white so clear. I’ve never noticed any pain or anything else to assume I’m ovulating. I’ve only ever gone of the surge - so technically I could be getting the LH surge but not actually releasing an egg - someone on here has actually mentioned about getting some sort of proof test to confirm you’ve actually ovulated which I’m getting really tempted by just to confirm it’s defo happening (sounds dramatic such early days but I would like a confirmation)
ah I’m soo glad you’ve been all good, are you just a few days behind my dpo? Your trip has landed at the perfect time…. I have absolutely everything crossed!!!

@Nelliepledge the support on here is insane!!! Jealous of your kfc but my pancakes did the same trick! Yep worse case we can roll over to the December thread and pray next month is our month!!

@TunnocksTCake thank you sooo much for sharing that information and the link! I honestly never understood why some people get them early and some people don’t so that makes such logical sense and of course every single person is different! Ok I feel slightly better… I really need to stop early testing if I can because it just causes me misery that may not even be legit…..

totally interested and 2nd asking what tests people use, I have always used FRER but I actually got a savage indent for the first few mins on my test this morning but it had no colour and then disappeared so it was a stark bfn…. The most brutal moment of my TTC journey so far! I do think there are faults with all brands here and there and none are completely error free…. But good to know what others use 🤗 I think you’ll lose trust the more this journey goes on 🥺

I’m keeping a twinge of hope girls, deffo feel better after scoffing a million pancakes smothered in Nutella 😋

Nelliepledge · 21/02/2023 22:15

You definitely have hope, you are testing early so still in the game! Everything crossed for you lovely! Xxx

SnookyPook · 21/02/2023 23:16

@Maxime34 @MilkyAndFluffy I use the OneStep Amazon ones and have found them fine. Followed up by a ClearBlue digital (that says 'pregnant +no. of weeks) to confirm / add clarity once I've seen a line!

Have never even tried a FRER!

Love that link about the HCG - crazy how different the levels in the normal range can be!

SnookyPook · 21/02/2023 23:18

To add though, I've never tested early. Both times I've had a positive I've tested the day after a missed AF so I guess I've set the tests up for success a bit!

MilkyAndFluffy · 21/02/2023 23:58

@Nelliepledge @SnookyPook defo agree I’m probably testing way too early because I’m so impatient argh - where do you find the will power to wait?! I defo need to try harder to wait till missed AF going forward. Thanks for sharing your test brand, I’ll order a cheeky pack for next month xxx

SnookyPook · 22/02/2023 00:07

@MilkyAndFluffy I just didn't want to put myself through the torment of possible faint lines and CPs etc. My reasoning was, if I'm pregnant I will know soon enough and it will be a more certain result. If not, AF will come and I won't have wasted a test. In a funny way I also quite like having the hope/curiosity about it during the tww?! I don't know, it just works for me! I must say though it was harder this time as with my first pregnancy I wasn't on MN when trying to conceive and was oblivious to all the early testers etc! It was more tempting this time with seeing people test and got positives from 9dpo onwards!

Haleybee822 · 22/02/2023 01:39

Suffered a loss at 21 weeks and has been devastating looking to start ttc how long did it take others after a loss? I feel like all I can think about is being pregnant again

Fallulah · 22/02/2023 07:08

I’m out - period arrived this morning. Actually a bit of a relief as I’ve been feeling like it was on its way for a few days!
Onwards and upwards!

ThomasinaLivesHere · 22/02/2023 07:36

@Fallulah sorry to hear that but I understand it can be a relief. Mines was early last month which I was thankful for as being late must be so frustrating.

According to Flo app my ovulation day is this Friday but I used the clear blue advanced tests this morning expecting a flashy face but it was a circle. So not sure if that means my app is wrong. My cycle was shorter than normal last month so don’t know if that’s thrown it.

behappy1736 · 22/02/2023 09:51

CD 21 today for me but I have long cycles 30-38 days usually. My boobs feel really sore today what would this be?
How's everyone else feeling? X

Floralsandsmiles · 22/02/2023 10:13

@MilkyAndFluffy 6TH DAY OF THE STUPID BA**ARD SMILEY FACE! 🤣🤣 but I can see a rise in LH so hoping it's soon lol xxxx

Superstorefan123 · 22/02/2023 10:44

Hey just checking in, sorry to all those who’ve had BFNs. It’s so tough

Currently on CD9 and have decided to wait until Monday (CD14) to test. I had a chemical last month and the uncertain tests are the worst - by CD14 at least it’s clear either way!! Also it’s my first clomid cycle and I don’t want to know it’s failed going into the weekend as I know I’ll be sad!

Baby dust to all xx

Now it seems to have dropped in LH level? However I never got a static and it's still flashing? What is going on? 😩😩 xxx

Maxime34 · 22/02/2023 12:41

@MilkyAndFluffy from the fertility doctors I've spoken to they have always said that if you get a real surge and strong positive LH stick there's very little chance you haven't ovulated. You definitely can go down the route of having scans etc but I'd say if you usually do get a proper surge then ovulation is highly likely to be happening. Perhaps try tracking BBT next month as that's another way you can confirm it. A lot of women don't notice the EWCM but it doesn't mean it's not there where it's needs to be at the right time. I'm fairly sure there are supplements you can take to increase it naturally though so worth looking into that if things don't work out this month. A few more days to wait for me before the dreaded test day...! How are you feeling today?

behappy1736 · 22/02/2023 15:46

I'm so confused 😕
Two of my OPKs were like this pic attached a week ago then came to nothing not a stronger line or anything but I did one today and it's just one test line you can barely see the second line! I'm pretty sure I haven't ovulated already as I have long cycles and on day 21 today but would an opk have some sort of line then no line if you hadn't ovulated?
Is it possible to have a line this these in the pics and then no line but you still haven't ovulated yet?

@behappy1736 they aren’t positive but really hard to interpret as they look flooded. You’re just dipping the first 1cm of test strip in for like 5seconds? I recommend easy@home ones 100%

Nelliepledge · 22/02/2023 20:12

Can I ask if anyone has advice on how to cope when close people to you have fallen pregnant? I am obviously so so happy for them but dreading constant conversations about pregnancy and having children when I am struggling

Thanks for your reply.
What is good about the easy at home tests please? I see they are quite pricey.

Superstorefan123 · 22/02/2023 20:30

Honestly @Nelliepledge I’m not afraid to admit I’m often not happy for people 😂 I would never in a million years wish anyone to experience what I have (multiple losses and still not conceived) but I can’t say it doesn’t sting when people get pregnant without trying/first go.

All I can say is give it time… I tend to be a bit tearful and upset for a couple of days when someone close announces but after that I can act normally/discuss their pregnancy/feel OK about it all. I also try and remember that there aren’t a set number of pregnancies - one persons journey doesn’t effect mine, so I try and stay focused on what I’m doing.

sending love!

TunnocksTCake · 22/02/2023 20:45

@Nelliepledge this is so hard and I definitely don't have the answers. When I was ttc for my first I had multiple losses and it was the hardest time of my life. I just got to the point where I had to avoid certain social situations to protect myself. It is sometimes 100% necessary to just be selfish and look after your emotional well-being first. If you haven't already listen to the 'BFN' podcast they talk a lot about ivf but also just negotiating ttc and how to take care of yourself and it made me feel so much better. Sending hugs xxx

Mummyme87 · 22/02/2023 21:05

@behappy1736 they are much more reliable, tend to get more clear results. I’ve tried numerous and they are the better ones, one box I find covers two cycles generally. I use them alongside premom app

Thank you! I've just downloaded the Pre mom app did you upgrade to the premium version? X

Mummyme87 · 22/02/2023 21:49

@behappy1736 I did upgrade once but I cancelled it. Don’t think it’s necessary really. I use premom and Ovia

MilkyAndFluffy · 23/02/2023 00:07

@Floralsandsmiles your LH levels are super confusing bless you I bet your head is in a right twist. If you did another through the day (not fmu) it won’t have been as concentrated and could explain the dip in levels. Did you try and hold it for 4 hours before using it to test? I’d defo test AM and PM for the surge! I’m praying you get it tonight or maybe in the morning?!?! Keep me posted xxx
