@TheBirdintheCave I think the thickness increases between now and when eggy moves into the womb? The corpus luteum (progesterone) gets created once the egg is released and the lining builds due to this. So give it a few more days for the progesterone to do its job and beef up your lining a bit. I don't think you have anything to worry about 💕

TheBirdintheCave · 02/02/2023 22:20

Thanks guys :) I have a bit of hope back at least 😅

@bunnykins123 I saw the corpus luteum at the scan so hopefully it's doing its job.

@FfayeN I'm hoping it's just thin this month because I had the surgery and the lining has had to build up from scratch.

Anyway I shall see whether AF comes or not next weekend.

calimc83 · 02/02/2023 22:29

@bunnykins123 oh wow a week till your 12 week scan?! That seems to have flown by...although the NIPT isn't cheap I got it for that extra reassurance..I'm sure our first MC was down to a genetic issue as they mentioned there was swelling around the head/chest area on the last scan. So wanted to rule out as much as possible any genetic issues. U can find out the sex as well if u want but I opted out of that. Do u think u will find out?? Plus u get an extra scan which I found reassuring between the 12-20 week mark. Only thing I struggled with are there are sooo many different variations of the NIPT. Found it hard to choose which one to go for @TheBirdintheCave @bringmearainbow when I had my booking appt for this PG I mentioned my 2nd MC and the covid link, my midwife told me there was actually some suggestion that covid could cause MC..but I never found any actual research myself online so maybe it's still ongoing? 🤔..@Indianna2006 we just need a stork to deliver these babies! How many weeks are u now? I've started buying a few little bits for my hospital bag ( ie giant pants) which is making it feel a bit more real but I still feel quite dissociated from the PG ( which I think is a self preservation kind of thing) xx

monsteramunch · 02/02/2023 23:52

Going to read through everyone's recent posts tomorrow but in the meantime, sending everyone positive thoughts and wanted to report my boobs KILL again.

9/10DPO tomorrow. Think I should test in a day or two. I wanted to wait til AF is due as I definitely find that easier mentally, but think PP upthread / on the previous one is right, it's sensible to do a little earlier in case of another chemical and then I can fill in my GP as that must be helpful for them to know.

Night everyone Flowers

Hallelujah finally got a decent rise thought it was never going to happen 😂

POAS: Why use one when you can use twelve?! 🌈 💕
TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 08:15

@monsteramunch That's a good sign :D

@bringmearainbow Woohoo for the rise!

Indianna2006 · 03/02/2023 08:41

@bringmearainbow yay for rise!

@calimc83 29 weeks now and I see consultant at 32 to discuss again so need to be making an idea of what I want. I know yes please from the stork 😂
I have started collecting bits to sort too. As I am super organised. An I feel calmer if things are organised. Or it plagues me and my sleep lol.

I have my DDs birthday next week and party that I’m doing and making her cake so that’s all in my head. Once that’s done. I can get on with sorting other stuff. Too many things to think about lol.

TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 08:41

I think we're just going to pay for the IVF and get everything going on that. I should never have had the surgery. I had no idea it was going to ruin my lining x_x I feel like I've wasted yet another month of my ever decreasing time.

monsteramunch · 03/02/2023 08:41

Ooh yay for the rise @bringmearainbow 🤞🏻

Here's my charts, no idea really if they show anything of any use post ovulation!

I'm 9/10DPO today and as I said last night, while I'd rather wait til AF is due to test, I think I should probably do one in a couple of days in case of another chemical so I can at least tell the GP I think I've had one or two.

Boobs are KILLING today. Think they'll feel better with a bra on but currently too sore to do that so will have to wait a bit.

How is everyone feeling this morning?

Sorry, cross posted.

I think if that helps you mentally then it sounds sensible as the time pressure is causing much of the anxiety, same here.

Will you be able to get the funds together quite quickly but keep trying in the meantime?

I did see the packages where you get multiple tries - I know it costs much more initial outlay wise, but I guess it takes some different pressures out of the picture so it doesn't feel all or nothing.

No NHS cycles where you are?

Flowers
TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 08:47

@monsteramunch We don't qualify for NHS as we have our son :( We have the money. My parents are going to pay for it. I just kept hoping we'd be able to avoid having to do it.

monsteramunch · 03/02/2023 09:01

@TheBirdintheCave Ah that's amazing of your parents! What a blessing Flowers It sounds like mentally, getting cracking with that process will really help you. If you're doing it privately is it quite a short lead time on getting started?

TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 09:18

@monsteramunch Yeah if we press go then we can get started with the preliminary testing next cycle (more blood tests I think). It's all very immediate. There are no waiting lists.

Indianna2006 · 03/02/2023 09:22

@TheBirdintheCave I think the surgery obv does remove all your lining or as much as they need. But so does a period tbh. @bunnykins123 is correct in that between ovulation and implantation. The rise in progesterone changes the lining and makes it thicker and more cushioning and get the three tri appearance for an egg to implant. So you cannot just determine off a lining thickness at 3dpo as it will be changing daily. I think 6mm at 3dpo is actually good and you’d easily get to 10mm by implantation which is perfect anyway.

after my surgery they first cycle my cycle was SO heavy as my lining actually built up so much. But at 3dpo suspect mine would have been low as well.

Also have read and heard that having the surgery is a bit like a lining refresh or renew. And can sometimes act as a bit of an endometrial scratch ENCOURAGING implantation. You get fresh blood flow and a fresh lining. Which can be a good thing rather than stagnant old blood. And for me I got pregnant twice after surgery fairly quickly. So think perhaps some of that is true.

Anyway hope they helps to creates some positivity. Deff don’t write off this cycle off 🥰🥰

TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 09:31

@Indianna2006 I just don't know what to believe. All the studies I've read this morning suggest that pregnancy rates following a ERPC are lower than in people who had the tablets. And yet at the same time I've also read what you said about the scratch making pregnancy more likely. They all contradict each other 😂

I was feeling so optimistic before yesterday 🙄

I guess this is sort of showing my true feelings about it though. I'm stressing myself over losing another month so I should just go ahead with the IVF because at least then I'd (hopefully) have some embryos to try and get pregnant with. I don't think I can take the disappointment of naturally trying any more nor the feeling that time is just running away from me.

Indianna2006 · 03/02/2023 09:35

@TheBirdintheCave everything is always contradicted on the internet. You can find a contradiction for grass isn’t green most likely 😂😂

yeh you gotta do what right in your head.
I didn’t have a pregnancy for 11 cycles. Then had 2 pregnancies in 4 cycles so ERPC deff almost made me more fertile. Prob because of the renewed fresh lining I imagine. But obv each person would be diff. Surgery can cause issues for a small minority.
just do what’s right for you hun xx

TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 09:38

But also I don't want to spend the money 😂😂 I'm just going to keep going round in circles.

monsteramunch · 03/02/2023 09:41

@TheBirdintheCave

I think if your parents are happy to pay for it as you mentioned, then they want to give you this gift so it isn't anything that you should feel bad about Flowers

TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 10:17

@monsteramunch They've already given us so much though. They bought us our house and car :/ I feel like a crappy adult most of the time anyway having more help when technically we don't really need the treatment it would just be to speed up the waiting process just feels wrong.

bringmearainbow · 03/02/2023 10:20

@monsteramunch oooh your poor boobies ☹️ but chart looks good 🤞🏼 gosh I really hope this is the one for you! Any other symptoms or just the boobies? I have zero symptoms my boobs are a little tender but nothing out of the ordinary for me in the lp. My only weird one is watery creamy cm the last couple of days. Probs way too early for me though as only 5dpo 😂

@TheBirdintheCave def don't write yourself off I got pregnant first cycle after my first surgery. @Indianna2006 is right that a good clear out can help with implantation I reckon. It's hard to see the positives and internet does have so many conflicting stories I suppose it comes down to individuals. You gotta do what's right for you

TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 10:29

@bringmearainbow I know, I'll try and get my positive frame of mind back or at the very least forget about everything for now. We have a dinner party tonight so I've got to rapid clean downstairs this morning and finish preparing my meal :D Hopefully a good dose of gin should take my mind of things 😂

monsteramunch · 03/02/2023 10:59

@bringmearainbow

Had a cracking headache on and off plus absolutely shattered, but that could be down to work I guess. Also bloated and been a bit constipated which I never am.

Ordered a couple of FRER to come tomorrow and I think I'll take them on Sunday, when I'll be 11/12DPO. Would rather wait until AF is due but best to check for a chemical.

I'm so relieved it's Friday!

TheBirdintheCave · 03/02/2023 11:45

@monsteramunch All of your symptoms are getting me so excited for you 😬

monsteramunch · 03/02/2023 11:51

Ah you're so nice @TheBirdintheCave I really, really hope this is our cycle 🤞🏻

Had a dream last night it was, so waking up to reality felt a bit rubbish!

FfayeN · 03/02/2023 12:26

@monsteramunch it all sounds like some good symptoms 😬. Good luck for Sunday!

@TheBirdintheCave stop googling! I mean that in the kindest way, you are seeking the help of professionals at the IVF clinic, if they had concerns they would have identified it when they did the scan. It sounds as though you do really want to proceed with IVF, regardless whether they say you 'need' it, what it does is give you back control. So medically you don't need it, but perhaps mentally you do 😘. They will also monitor your lining prior to transfer so this months measurement is essentially pointless. They will monitor and advise what to do if you need to improve thickness at the transfer stage 😊 xxx
