@TheBirdintheCave sorry u aren't feeling great ☹️

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 13:21

@SleepyBlonde yaaay glad yours are on the up mine are still bloody crap 🙄 in fact they are really pissing me off 😂

curliegirlie · 24/02/2023 13:26

Sorry all, this is a bit of a random brain fart, but it's been playing on my mind a lot. A couple of weeks ago I read through a TTC after 40 thread (depressingly being of that vintage myself 😂) and got a bit triggered because one of the posters had just had a TFMR as her baby had a positive NIPT for Trisomy 21. I never want to pass judgement on anything anyone else does, as everyone has their own circumstances etc, but I just want to say that if anyone here gets a high chance result for Down's syndrome and wants a chat about what life is like with a child with that little bit extra, do reach out. I got a postnatal diagnosis with DD1 and it absolutely blindsided us (combined test was 1 in 1900, but we were that one). But she is absolutely amazing, luckily no health issues, such a clever little girl (she is now 7, in mainstream school and has come on so much over this year with her reading and writing) and I can't imagine not having her (I often feel so lucky we found out postnatally so I didn't have to make the decision when I knew absolutely nothing about the condition). That is all. as you were....

@curliegirlie What a beautiful, happy little girl :D

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 14:56

@curliegirlie ❤️❤️ looks like she's having a blast

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 14:57

Opks are still super duper low 🙄 I'm like a broken record at this point stuck on that one annoying word low low low low

bunnykins123 · 24/02/2023 15:00

@curliegirlie she's beautiful!

@bringmearainbow how low is low? I really hoped you'd seen a bit of a increase by now. I would still have one last crack at it either today or tomorrow. I've had it's before with days and days of EWCM thinking the inevitable was about to happen, 7 days later we eventually got there (and we were knackered by that point!) 🤦‍♀️

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 15:04

@bunnykins123 they are very very low not even a whiff of a rise. Honestly this last MC has ruined me unexplained spotting I'm on day 4 of ewcm and I had watery cm a couple of days before that too 😳 all I can do is dtd tonight and hope and pray for the best. Won't stop me sulking though 🙊😂

TheBirdintheCave · 24/02/2023 15:28

@bringmearainbow I'm sorry my dream hasn't come true yet! 😂 I had my lowest OPK yet this morning so I'm with you in terms of wishing it would just be positive already.

curliegirlie · 24/02/2023 15:29

@bringmearainbow with DD2 I'd ovulated on CD24 - at the time I was normally ovulating around CD 16/17. I think most people get a randomly m cycle once in a while.

Thanks for all your comments about my DD. I hope I haven't offended anyone with my post, but that sort of stuff so often gets hidden away on the antenatal test boards...

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 15:30

@TheBirdintheCave 😂 I mean your dream could of had a little clock in it fgs 🤣🤣 ooh what number did you get this morning?

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 15:35

@curliegirlie mine are all over the place I've O as early as CD13 up to CD23 🙄 16/17 seems to be the most popular days for me though 🤷🏼‍♀️ and I was very hopeful because of all the good cm. I wouldn't bloody mind which day it was if DH wasn't buggering off 🙄 that's it I'm cancelling all his holidays until I've got a bun in the oven 🤣 I don't think you would offend anyone in here lovely ❤️

LuckyMoonstone · 24/02/2023 15:49

@curliegirlie thank you for sharing your lovely girl with us ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 24/02/2023 15:58

@curliegirlie Of course we're not offended 🥰

@bringmearainbow I got a 0.26.

calimc83 · 24/02/2023 18:29

@SleepyBlonde am I right in thinking that you are previously Mrs G?! Slightly off topic question..is olive oil from the pharmacy the same as regular olive oil u get from the supermarket? My DD has waxy ears 🤢..school nurse sent a letter home and said to treat it with olive oil from pharmacy. Will my regular olive oil be ok? Thanks 😊 xx
Girls how u all doing? Been MIA for a few days but still lurking xxx

SleepyBlonde · 24/02/2023 19:03

@calimc83 yes lovely..pharmacy bottle just has an easier admin, we sell ours with a syringe. Just home from work will have a read at previous messages in a bit Xx

SleepyBlonde · 24/02/2023 19:11

@calimc83 dropper* not syringe🤣 sorry messaging in a hurry. Hope you're feeling well 😊 xx

SleepyBlonde · 24/02/2023 20:32

@calimc83 my DD had totally blocked ears for at least 2 months. She could barely hear. Gp advised me to use olive oil then go to Specsavers for syringing as NHS list is 2 years. Unbeknown to him, Specsavers will not attempt this on anyone under 18. I paid for private micro suction in a hospital. Twice. Best money I've ever spent. DS1 had a benign tumour in his ear and needed 2 surgeries so just to have this ruled out by an ENT consultant was a massive relief xx

FfoxRedN · 24/02/2023 21:40

@curliegirlie you absolutely can't offend anyone here and your little girl is just gorgeous, it's actually really lovely you shared that and to have an ear out there if any of us were wanting to discuss, so thank you for sharing 🥰.

@TheBirdintheCave @bringmearainbow keep testing ladies, mine peaks and returns within 24 hours so then being low now is not a bad sign at all! Xx

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 22:26

Well no peak or hint of a rise fml. DH is still sorting out work and he has to be up at 4am I can see tonight being a big fat flop least we dtd the last 2 days. I'm probs out this cycle before it's even begun 😩 eurgh I'm such a Debbie downer tonight. I know realistically it's still entirely possible for it to happen but I feel like this past week has been such a wasted effort and I just feel a bit sad about it

calimc83 · 24/02/2023 22:30

@SleepyBlonde ohhh really?? My DD always has waxy ears - especially after a bad cold. She had her hearing tested at school and they said there was an issue because of the wax and to get the olive oil in them..should that clear it all then it might I need to see someone then? She's always saying 'what' ( which drives me mad 🙈😆)..managed to drop some olive oil in tonight with a trusty calpol syringe 😂..they certainly have there uses! Hope u are ok?? All good here..finally starting to think about a hospital bag (37 weeks today! 😳 ) xx

TheBirdintheCave · 24/02/2023 22:41

@bringmearainbow Well that sucks :( I'm sorry, I was so hopeful you'd have a quick rise this evening. Fingers crossed you still get to dtd.

I have strep throat 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ I only just thought to have a look as my symptoms reminded me of when I used to have chronic tonsillitis (before they were taken out.

@SleepyBlonde What do I take for strep throat? 🤔

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 22:49

Omg I'm dying 🤣🤣🤣 I don't know if this link will work but this just made me laugh even though I was crying 15 minutes ago 🙄

bringmearainbow · 24/02/2023 22:50

@TheBirdintheCave thanks lovely it's sucks but it is what it is 😩 oooh your poor thing I've never had it but it seems like it's really going round atm

SleepyBlonde · 24/02/2023 23:23

Sorry am playing about with usernames here and seducing the hubby 🤣

@TheBirdintheCave strep A? My god if you suspect this get penicillin if not allergic

@calimc83 yes my DD never complains. I was absolutely horrified when she told me she couldn't hear and booked a private consultant ent asap (after ringing numerous boots and specsavers)
