TWW 1dpo today - who's with me?

Hello!

Im just at the start of my TWW!

TTC cycle 1 (unofficially 6months)
Baby number 2 (DD is 2.5yrs old)
CD 18
Cycle length approx 25-29days long
1DPO today
AF due approx 31/1

Me and DH have been unofficially TTC baby number 2 for about 6months, so basically not been using any protection but not tracking my cycles either and just leaving it up to fate. However this month I've been doing OPKs and got a positive test on Wednesday and then a spike in my BBT this morning so pretty sure I can pin point my ovulation at some point yesterday putting me at about 1dpo today! DH and I have been DTD regularly throughout my fertile window this month so feeling hopeful!

so glad this group is here, my husband is much more rational than I am and has far more patience 🙈

@Sophie3839 my OH is super rational aswell it’s very annoying !! 😂 going on holiday next week so hopefully won’t really think about it, thought technically I’m due AF while we are away! Will you test early?

Morning everyone how are people feeling today?

My cramping has stopped, CM has dried right up, boobs feel back to normal. I’m feeling pretty normal now. I’ve read that progesterone rise and fall makes you cramp throughout the cycle, particularly after ovulation as it slows down digestion, so maybe what I’ve been feeling is more to do with bowels rather than uterus definitely felt like AF cramps though 😂 I don’t know. I’m glad I’ve tracked all symptoms this month though so I’ve got something to compare to. It’s actually been really interesting noticing what my body is doing as I usually pay zero attention.
I’m (think) I’m 7DPO today, I have a night out for a friends birthday on Saturday so I think I’ll test then, I’ll only be 10 DPO but I need to test so I know whether I can have a drink or not 🙈

yes I have a son already who’s two. This is only cycle number one and we only BD once so It’s very unlikely.

Ah nice yes a holiday will be a good distraction!
I always test early haha but only ever had a positive from 10dpo. Although I think my symptoms may in fact to be a mild uti :(
Gutted as I’d started to convince myself with my manic symptom spotting haha

I am prone to UTIs and am feeling a bit cystitisy today, think it’s all the sex 🙈🤣

Same but I haven’t had one for a year or so now so that’s just typical haha! We only dtd once so it’s just unlucky I guess :-/

I know what you mean about symptom tracking I usually never bother so it’s good to have a record to look back on. So far I have had sore throat, sore boobs, needing to wee all the time and sore back but all are attributable to uti and being run down😩🤷🏼‍♀️

so you are 7dpo, think I’m 6dpo. AF due 3rd feb and I too have a night out booked before so will have to test early too! Although I do have a confession that I caved and bought tests this morning. I’m not going to do them yet of course as super early but I really shouldn’t have any in the house haha

@MrsSB2023 Hello 👋🏻 this is my first cycle after a miscarriage last year! So 1 pregnancy 0 babies…… Think I’m just at a wishful thinking stage!

@Sophie3839 i bought tests they arrived yesterday. I’m so tempted but I don’t want the obsessing with seeing a line that isn’t there or the disappointment of seeing no line at all. I’m really trying to hold out until Saturday which will still be early as I’m not due AF until 1st Feb. I had the coil out in September and my cycles have been anywhere from 25 days to 35 days but going off ovulation I’d say 31 days this month x

@Stephla84 Aw sorry to hear that. I’m on cycle 1 too after sending hubby for the snip last month then deciding I wanted another haha!

@Stephla84 I’ll test Saturday if I can wait that long but if I’m pregnant this month it’ll be a miracle as we only DTD until 2 days before ovulation and the night of ovulation as hubby was working away so kinda thinking we missed it but who knows. I’m 38 now so I’m aware it’ll take longer than my other pregnancies !

Totally agree at the squinting at a test business I’d rather wait and see a proper line or know it’s negative but I know I want wait haha. I bought a clear blue and some cheap ones in sainsburys. The clear blue says up to 6 days early so I could do Sunday or Monday earliest but it would still likely be unreliable.
more frequent toilet trips, back pain, bleeding gums and sore boobs today 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey ladies! I've had a manic few days at work so just catching up on all your messages! Welcome to the newbies of the group! @Sophie3839 @Stephla84 👋🏻

I too am prone to UTIs, so I know your pain @MrsSB2023, I had a really nasty one just before Christmas and convinced myself that the fatigue and constant needing to wee were signs of pregnancy even though me and DH hadn't DTD around my ovulation period!

Hope everyone is doing alright and managing to not symptom spot too much.

I'm definitely more in favour of waiting to test too. It's so easy to convince yourself there is a faint second line when you test early which just leads to false hope. I'm hopefully holding off on testing for another week yet! Earliest I'll test is maybe the 31st which would be 12DPO I'm going to order some more FRER tonight.

No symptoms for me over the last few days but then I've been so busy I've hardly been able to notice any!

I have a night out planned for the 4th which is a few days after AF is due so hopefully I'll have my answer before then so I know if I'm drinking or not

@Carysmatic I get them every single month, I’m actually prescribed prophylactic anti biotics which I supposed to take every time we have sex but I don’t because I don’t like the idea of constantly having them in my system but UTIs are awful they actually really affect my every day life, feel like I’m constantly drinking cannasten powders 🙈
I’m absolutely dying to test tomorrow but I need will power not to!

Think I’ll be 12dpo on 31st too! Was debating a FRER but they didn’t have any so may pop to boots. But should really stop as I’ll have a draw full of tests 🤭😇
