Im just at the start of my TWW!

TTC cycle 1 (unofficially 6months)
Baby number 2 (DD is 2.5yrs old)
CD 18
Cycle length approx 25-29days long
1DPO today
AF due approx 31/1

Me and DH have been unofficially TTC baby number 2 for about 6months, so basically not been using any protection but not tracking my cycles either and just leaving it up to fate. However this month I've been doing OPKs and got a positive test on Wednesday and then a spike in my BBT this morning so pretty sure I can pin point my ovulation at some point yesterday putting me at about 1dpo today! DH and I have been DTD regularly throughout my fertile window this month so feeling hopeful!

I used OPKS this month and managed to pinpoint my LH surge, I prefer the strips as you can see the progression much more. I've tried the digital ones and actually got an error code a few times which was frustrating. I've attached a picture of my OPKS so you can see what I mean about the progression

@Carysmatic thanks! My “peak” was 1.0 so I’m worried it’s a bit low.

@MrsSB2023 yeah I had my first really young so technically on the scale of it I’m now super stressed about my age (34) but it is definitely in my mind that it’s possibly why things are not as easy! Fingers crossed for us all!! I am due af on the 4th so I am hoping like mad I can give my other half a wee valentines gift of a positive test

@Myperfectchaos do you check your BBT too? You normally get your peek about 12-24hours before ovulation and then a spike in BBT once you've ovulated so I got my peek on CD16 and then a spike in BBT on CD18 so probably ovulated CD17. It's so difficult though as it's no an exact science and everyone is different

@Carysmatic no I’ve just been using the Premom app and the easy at home strips so far! We have BD every day for about a fortnight haha so I’m knackered. 🤣

@Carysmatic what app is this? How do you get the measurements? Sorry I haven’t used the sticks before

@Myperfectchaos that's pretty good going! I'd say it's probably safe to say you caught that egg even if you're not sure if you pinpointed ovulation.

@MrsSB2023 it's called Premom it's great how it scans the tests and tells you if it's high enough to be your peek/LH surge! It's free to download though does give you the option to subscribe for more features but I just use the free version and it still does the test scanning function

Feeling really crampy this evening and a bit nauseous, could that be implantation or am I over thinking? Only 3DPO so it's definitely not AF related cramping but definite cramping.

@MrsSB2023 totally recommend this app, it is only my first month but going by this months readings it’s predicted that maybe I totally missed my last ovulations by a day or so

That’s what I have had the past few days, cramping and jelly like yellow CM. I got the peak on Monday so don’t know if I’m 4 or 5DPO today. I haven’t had any cramps today though but have since ovulation and last night they were quite bad for 20 minutes after I’d gotten into bed.
Last month at this point I had ovulation type pain in either ovary when I stood up, definitely wasn’t pregnant so not sure what that was, our body’s are mad aren’t they.

@Carysmatic I'm kind of on same time line I think, I'm either 5dpo or 6dpo digital test showed ovulated on cycle day 15 and Af due 3rd feb. On 4dpo and 5dpo I have had cramps both in ovary and middle of my abdomen, not bad I just noticed them,

I also felt fatigued yesterday and last night felt like my tooth was bleeding I had taste of blood but then realised it could have been the metallic taste. It has now gone though, feel totally fine this morning! Fingers crossed for us all! I'm really hoping this time passes by quickly. 🙈🙈

@MrsSB2023 wait to buy any OPK tests until after AF arrives, they'd be useless to you if you are PG this month 😂
Definitely think our bodies play trick on us! I dunno what my cramps were about last night but I haven't had any more since. I've never noticed much ovulation pain though. Does that feel like period cramps but just in on side? I do feel like I've had more CM the last few days and I do remember that wirh DD but I'm sure it's just in my head 😂

@Babydustthisyear ooo metallic taste in the mouth is horrible. I remember having that when PG with DD, so that could be a promising sign! I've been feeling tired/fatigued today too but probably just generally exhausted from life 😂 only 4DPO and already want this TWW over! I'm so impatient!

My boobs are really sore! I work at a desk a lot and have knocked them on the desk a few times today and they're bloody sore! No more cramping, a bit more CM than I'd usually expect at this time of the cycle and some nausea but I'm probably just symptom spotting and it's all in my head 😂

That’s true! I think I’m half counting myself out as hubby was away but also convincing myself I’m pg too 😂
Today I’ve had cramps again but we BD’d last night and sometimes I can get a like ‘bruised’ type feeling afterwards so maybe it’s that 🙈
CM is still like yellowish jelly sorry tmi. Boobs have shooting pains but I do get that from time to time. The only thing is the tiredness I’m absolutely knackered! Have had a nap every day for the past 3 days and I never nap. All probably in my head mind.
Gonna be a long week for all of us I think haha

My ovulation pain is like a sharp stabbing pain on either side where my ovary is and it’s normally when I cough or stand up fast and lasts for a couple of seconds. It normally only happens once or twice and apparently it’s the fluid around the ovary getting ready to release an egg. Oddly though I haven’t had any ovulation pain this month but I don’t know whether I always get it. This month I was so aware of ovulation, bleeding gums, really high sex drive, nipples really sore etc and loads of EWCM. The day after I felt like a realease, like I’d definitely peaked that day. My mood came crashing down and gums weren’t as sore, boobs not as bad etc so definitely think I can pin point when it was. I really wish I’d paid more attention to my body the past couple of months so I could compare 😂

@Carysmatic I feel fine today, probably bloated and felt full today when I hadn't eaten any more than normal but no more cramps, maybe needed the loo a bit more but who knows what's normal and what's not now I'm with you @MrsSB2023 I wish I had of paid more attention lol! Also my flo app usually has calculated my Af perfectly but I recorded when I ovulated and going off my 27 day cycle Af is due Sunday lol not the 3rd feb so I am happy and nervous about that!

I’m feeling fine today, last cycle I convinced myself that I was 100% most definitely pregnant and has every “symptom” going even down to wretching, metallic taste, cramping, going off food, sore boobs etc so I am trying my very best not to imagine these things again!

When is everyone starting to test? I have bought some cheapies and I’m raring to go haha

@MrsSB2023 I definitely know when I'm nearing ovulation too as I get lots of EWCM and increased sec drive, I've never noticed pain in my ovaries to know exactly when I likely ovulated so rely on the OPKs for that, I'm lucky that I was able to pinpoint my peak with OPKs and then confirm with spike in BBT. Weirdly my BBT has stayed high since I've ovulated this month when it normally starts go down again but I'm not looking too much into that as I am quite crap at remembering to take it 😂 how long was your hubby away for? If it was only a few days and you DTD before and after he went away you may still have a chance!

@Babydustthisyear ooo so you haven't got too much longer to wait before you can test! My Flo app is saying to take a test in 8days time when I will be 13DPO, but I may try and hold out a little longer.

@Myperfectchaos it's so hard not to symptom spot though! Every time I feel something slightly unusual in my body my brain goes "omg I'm pregnant" 😂. I'm going to hold off on testing until at least Tuesday/Wednesday next week if I can! I've only some cheapies from boots and one clear blue digital(which I want to save until I start seeing a faint second line on tests at least!) nothing worse than seeing the words "NOT PREGNANT" so yeah, may order some FRER tests because I like those better than the little cheap strip ones!

How's everyone today? I feel pretty much normal, no possible symptoms today. But I'm sure my brain will have convinced me of some by the end of the day 🙈

@Carysmatic so we DTD CD 14, 15 (midnight) I got solid smiley CD 16, hubby was away CD 16&17 DTD again CD 18&19
I definitely feel like I ovulated on CD 18 but that would be too late according to CB digital but definitely had the most EWCM and felt like I ovulated that day. We didn’t DTD until late on CD 18 though so think we may have missed it.
I’m either 6, 7 or 8 DPO today 🙃
I had strong cramps again last night but feel absolutely fine today. I don’t know whether it’s normal for me or not to cramp after ovulation however I don’t remember that happening last month.
Raised temp sounds promising! Definitely going to temp next month.
Does anyone check their cervix?

The clear blue ovulation test track your LH surge which peaks just before ovulation so you get your peak which would have the solid smiley you had on CD16 but then you may not ovulate until 12-36hours after your LH surge, so if you feel like you ovulated on the CD18 then maybe you did! I'd say in you're with a good chance this month! 🤞🏻

Absolutely no signs or symptoms my end, but given I’m only (around) 2DPO I won’t worry about that yet ! I was incredibly lucky and had virtually no symptoms whatsoever when I had my little boy except for just ‘knowing’ I was pregnant (which sounds very mystic Meg!) , and I had exactly the same again for my chemical last month.

@Carysmatic increased temp definitely sounds positive ! One thing I noticed retrospectively last month was a steady increase in my resting heart rate from my Apple Watch (to the extent I got an alert about it!) so that looks like a sign to me too albeit not one I would notice myself physically , without the aid of my watch! And then it dropped right down again when I miscarried. So I think I’ll get a decent steer from that too, in a similar way as one would do with BBT

I am so so bloated today!! Hubbys 40th so we went out for some lunch so trying to put it down to that and not it being a “sign” although the “bump “ the bloat is giving me is making me emosh!

@Carysmatic im going to wait a few more days unless I get crazy symptoms, today at 6dpo/7dpo cramps in left side, taste in mouth and mood swings lol

Thought I would say hi and now following the thread. I’m 4DPO and, after having a miscarriage at 10 weeks in October we are back into cycle 1 after taking a couple of months off. I wanted to be so cool and not symptom check at all but here I am….. symptom checking like mad 😂I’ve spent most of this evening with cramps. I have 5 large fibroids on the outside of my uterus so periods and ovulation etc are normally noticeable and quite painful. So I’m seeing this has a good sign…. Rightly or wrongly! Looking forward to seeing how you girls get on. Lots of luck!!

5dpo here and so many symptoms which I know can’t be symptoms but are happening anyway haha!
sore boobs, need to see loads, bit of heartburn / acid reflux.
not high chance of pg tbh as only dtd once and wasn’t using opks etc this time.
what dpo is everyone planning to test on?
mum going to try and hold out until 10dpo 😅
