7/8DPO Pains With a Cold

Hi everyone,

I am 7-8DPO today and I've had 2 colds since the end of November. Second one supposedly started the day after I was supposed to ovulate, now I'm not sure if its thrown everything off.

I've been coughing quite badly because of this and I have been getting strange pressure/light cramps in the pubic area. Is this caused by the coughing? I usually only notice it on my ribcage with a bad cough so I'm not sure if I just pulled a muscle, what do you all think please?

My partner has been ill both times as well before me, no idea where he's picking it up from! Never been ill twice so close together before. Thank you.

@Mrsrobinsonx I never appreciate a normal nose until its actually blocked! 🤣🤣

Is that a long time for you to sleep? I slept from about 10pm-7:30 last night, although I woke up briefly a few times from coughing. I sleep a lot usually anyway.

When are you due for AF? X

@CloudyVenus Erm maybe a little but I do love my sleep in general so not that out of the ordinary.
my app says tomorrow but I think it could be anytime up until Wednesday so won’t be too excited if nothing happens tomorrow 🙈

morning all, my cramps have gotten worse, which is expected as my af nears. I still have a cough and throat is tickly, think i had a bit of fever as i was quite sweaty. However, i do feel it is going. Hope we all have a good day today.

@Mrsrobinsonx me too!! And my AF used to vary a lot plus with the illness I won't be surprised if I'm waiting a while for it 😵‍💫 when would you be testing?

@carsty good morning, oh dear, I felt like I had a fever when this illness started for the first night. I take it your AF isn't due yet?

No sign of AF for me yet and it usually begins at around 10am(ish).

My cervix feels high and soft, but I'm quite dry in terms of CM today 😬

I came on the exact day my app said last month! Woke up with it 💀
but I did ovulate 2 days later this month so that’s why I’m expecting the delay.
I think I will test tomorrow if I don’t come on and then just wait for AF. What about you?
I actually feel quite wet today cm wise (watery I’d say). The waiting is awful 😂

@Mrsrobinsonx my app was correct last month but so far not this month 😅.

I have no idea to be honest, as I don't know when I ovulated exactly especially as I've been really sick. Although I was considering tomorrow morning as a possibility as technically I'd be late then, but at the same time I hate wasting tests.😵‍💫

My jaw and throat glands are still super painful today, I'm hoping it will settle down soon.

@CloudyVenus oh dear hopefully it will ease off remember to have plenty fluids and avoid cold stuff...my throat feels a bit better this afternoon feels like its trying to clear up...my af is due tuesday or anytime now, cm wise im also dry...i had a bit of white cm yesterday and day before but this is typical until af shows...

@carsty I've read that in the 2ww symptoms are pretty similar as your body gears up whether pregnant or not, so confusing! I still haven't had any cramps or AF yet.

I miss my cups of tea and coffee 😭 I haven't been able to have any in about 2 weeks due to the cold.

Last cycle I had acne leading to AF and the previous one was sore nips/breasts after ovulation so it appears to vary month by month for me 💀

I tend to get hormonal acne on my shoulders gearing up to af but the past few months this has actually reduced so im thankful as i have scars on my shoulders as a result. Yes tww symptoms are too similar for either preg or af, unless you know u feel completely different or off its hard to tell. So far my cramps have receded but its usually on and off until af arrives and it gets constant. I have slightly sore nipples mainly hurts when touched. I am also very bloated at the moment and look 6mnths preg, im quite slim built, which does not help, so annoying 😅.

@carsty ouch, that sounds painful! Not really had any cramps today but nips still sore and no AF still. I have been bloated a couple of days this week as well. Do you usually get sore nipples?

So far I've managed to resist the urge to test 💀😁

@CloudyVenus i do get sore nips at times and also had very sore boobs a few times bfore so thought something was up then but turned out to be pms. I dnt know wats happening my throat is now hurting with avengance, so odd as i felt it was getting better this now feels painful rather than sore.

Tested this morning - BFN, I thought I saw something when I first did it but now think I'm imagining it, will wait another week or so if AF still doesn't appear. Must be due to the illness.

@Mrsrobinsonx I feel like it's an evap or something as I heard FRER's can have issues like that. I suppose that I could of ovulated later due to the illness, how annoying. I guess only time will tell.

How disappointing, will you be testing again?

@CloudyVenus Yeah I’ve read stories about them too.
fingers crossed this will be your month and it will be positive soon. Are you late on your period yet?

I’m going to leave it a couple of days and wait for my period, there’s always hope until she arrives but will probably test again Wednesday if nothing by then. X

According to my app, it was supposed to appear yesterday but so far it hasn't but I've obviously had the couple symptoms I mentioned above but it's not unusual for me.
I'm expecting that I ovulated late now. So I'm thinking I may leave it about another week to see if she shows up x

@Mrsrobinsonx I also appear to have gotten pharyngitis (cobblestone throat) overnight, it's so painful, I expect to be unwell for longer now 😢

@CloudyVenus I was due to ovulate 26/27th and I got my peak 28th so I think I was around then. I’m going from that day for dpo anyway!
Every hour feels like ages waiting for AF let alone the days.
ohh no! I’m much less blocked up today, just got an annoying cough I can’t seem to clear.
I hope it gets better for you asap, being unwell puts all sorts of weird symptoms into play messing with our head!

Yes that makes sense, I was due to ovulate Christmas day but now I'm guessing that is not the case.

Thank you, you too. I agree with feeling like the waiting is forever, it's difficult to find other things to be distracted with for that long!

@CloudyVenus oh dear dnt know whats going on with this illness as soon as you think your getting better you get bad again 😅. I also thought i saw a bit of a line but yes wait a bit atleast af has not shown yet. I keep checking to see if af arrived cause kept feeling something is coming lol though im due tomorrow. Last month she was 2 days late as i may have ovulated later then. So far cramps not that noticeable. Hope we all get better soon...

@Mrsrobinsonx . Hi there, when are you due af? I may have also ovulated on the 28th. I stopped doing opk tests and i dnt think i was doing them right anyway. Furthermore, i cant get my oh to dtd when i need him to😫.

Are you guys in sync with your oh with regards to ttc?
