Anyone else on here in the same situation? Would be nice to chat to others who understand.

Yeah that's right, so it's a bit late once you see that rise but it's good to know! This is my third cycle doing it and I've had something crazy happen that I would never have known. I had a LH peak on Sunday (day 12, my cycles have been varying by a couple of days so whilst this was earlier than last month, not unheard of). Had strong ovulation cramps and bloating on Monday. DTD Sat, Sun and Mon and thought that was it covered!

Tuesday morning, no BBT rise.
Wednesday morning, no BBT rise.

Realised my body must have failed to ovulate. Had a little EWCM Wed morning, and then cramps and ovu pain again. Tried to DTD last night but no 'joy'.

I don't know if I would have realised what had happened if I hadn't been temping. I'm a bit frustrated as we might have missed our chance this month.

Rumbleinthecrumble · 15/02/2024 09:53

@MrsScotland Who would have thought it would be this difficult and confusing 🫤 I envy the women who’ve never had to POAS or start tracking their temperature, CM etc.

It sounds like you covered all bases so it’s just a keep your fingers crossed situation. Often I read that people get pregnant the month after a weird cycle (early, late, no clear ovulation) which I view as maybe a reset cycle like switching your computer off and on again when it’s playing up. Perhaps next month will be your one 🤞🏻

Morning all,

I just wanted to add that for those who might have a tendency towards PCOS, Inofolic Alpha might be helpful. I took it to help regulate my cycles after the TFMR - who knows if it helped or not but I do have diagnosed PCOS so I think in my case it probably did help. I also read some studies about how high dose vitamin C increases progesterone levels so I took 1000mg a day. In my pregnancy with my son I was given progesterone to take from 3 days after ovulation as my consultant thought this may have been the issue with my previous two miscarriages. I stopped both the vitamin C and Inofolic as soon as I got a positive test.

Worth doing some reading of course before taking!

Wishing those of you who are trying and waiting for cycles to regulate all the luck in the world

Hi all - sorry for the radio silence from me. After another loss last month, I took a step back.

Mega congrats to those of you who are now pregnant; I’m so pleased for you all and have everything crossed for successful pregnancies for everyone.

After last month’s chemical (the 4th early loss since my tfmr on Nov 22), I contacted my gp who was lovely and referred me to the hospital to see if it’s worth investigating as they keep catching but not sticking! However, I got a letter this week saying there are currently ‘no appointments available’ so I’m not even sure what that means and whether we’ll ever get seen or not.

We did say we’d stop trying in June because it’s all becoming a bit much - months of trying and failing after the tfmr is taking its toll now - but that’s getting closer and it’ll be hard to stop without knowing whether there could be a simple fix 🤷‍♀️

Hi @Downtherabbithole83, that’s really rubbish. Totally understand giving yourself a time limit but also the mixed feelings around it. Are you able to see anyone privately? And what sort of supplements are you on re egg quality? (Apologies if you’ve got all these things covered!)

MrsScotland · 25/02/2024 09:04

I can’t quite believe I’m saying this but I got a BFP yesteday at 10 DPO 🌈

I’ve had the double whammy of an implantation dip when temping, on days 6 and 7, and implantation bleeding, on days 7 and 8.

As the ink chased across the easy at home pregnancy test, I initially didn’t see it create a line, and thought I’d got my hopes up. But then an obvious line emerged and I dashed for the one digital test I had left from our previous bubba. 1-2 weeks pregnant.

I am weirdly ok and excited, I am sure there will be anxious days to come but I feel naively hopeful ⭐️

@MrsScotland that's wonderful news! Congratulations! Very much hope you have a happy and successful pregnancy this time around.

EMcG3 · 25/02/2024 16:19

I'm really excited to see good news in this thread. Really hope that this is the one for you.

oneweecraw · 25/02/2024 16:22

@MrsScotland thrilled for you! Huge congratulations xx

erinnn0420 · 25/02/2024 18:38

@MrsScotland Amazing news!! Congratulations! ❤️✨ xxx

EMcG3 · 25/02/2024 19:48

Also, I wanted to say, to the extent possible, don't let worry be the thief of joy.

MrsScotland · 26/02/2024 09:51

Morning ladies

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I know just what you mean @EMcG3, I've seen a lot of ladies worried sick and unable to enjoy it. I had really worried about this, and I'm sure I will feel extra anxious at the scans and testing stage, but for now I just genuinely feel happy and excited again.

I feel like worrying won't change the outcome, and I desperately want this to be an experience I can enjoy and get happiness from again. I dare to hope that it will be ok and we'll get to bring a healthy baby home this time. I caught myself looking on Vinted at tiny Jojo Maman Bebe babygrows last night!

I've texted the Screening Midwife this morning and waiting to hear back but they had previously offered a scan at 7 weeks and a NIPT at 10 weeks.

We actually just had a letter a couple of weeks ago to say our genetic tests on us were all completely normal so that's promising.

Thornberry1 · 26/02/2024 11:15

Amazing news @MrsScotland! Congratulations! So pleased for you! Sounds like you have a brilliant attitude. Keep telling myself I won't jinx it if I start to get excited and hopeful 💕

Rumbleinthecrumble · 02/03/2024 12:31

So after a 48 day cycle, I have just had a 17 day cycle. I have definitely not ovulated as I’ve been doing OPKs every day and I’ve not had a temperature spike as I’ve been doing my BBT religiously since day 3. WTF is going on?!

I can only think this is anovulation. I think I’m going to have to try and get a GP appointment and discuss with them. See if there is any way I can get clomid prescribed which I think will be unlikely.

I just feel so deflated. My mental health has really taken a battering. TTC is difficult enough but not being able to even try is worse.

Thornberry1 · 04/03/2024 11:15

So sorry to hear you're having such a difficult time @Rumbleinthecrumble can so so relate.

Definitely push your GP for a scan and blood tests. And I would also mention your mental health - I basically said that it would make more sense for them to treat my physical symptoms seriously asap rather than me come back in 3 months also needing mental health support / treatment.

If they do suggest clomid and you dont want to wait (my GP wasn't able to prescribe it and the fertility wait list was long) I went privately and it wasn't extortionate - £200 for the appt, £30 for the medication.

You're very welcome to message me if it comes to that and you need more info on it :) Sending lots of love, be kind to yourself x

erinnn0420 · 08/03/2024 17:41

Hi everyone, i’m currently 15DPO and my period is 2 days late! EEK! I’ve been so extremely tired the past week or so aswell. TFMR was in December and had 2 periods since exactly 4 weeks from TFMR then 4 weeks inbetween. My periods have always really accurate and on time. I have however been slightly stressed with work so don’t want to be too hopeful! My nerves are killing me about testing!

EMcG3 · 09/03/2024 05:14

Ohhhh, exciting! When are you testing?

EMcG3 · 09/03/2024 05:29

And, you know, i don't think hope is always a bad thing. Like, hope that it will happen in good time can make the journey a little less painful. And ultimately, we might as well make the journey pleasant because our level of control over whether we get pregnant or not is not particularly high. @erinnn0420

MrsScotland · 09/03/2024 09:09

Ahhh Erin how are you managing to not do a test?! Go for it!

I also agree re hope. I am doing my best to be hopeful this time that it will all be ok. I had quite bad cramps last night and every time I went to the loo, I was looking for blood. It’s hard not to think worst case scenario but I know we’re strong and we survived it before x

Dinosaurus86 · 09/03/2024 09:48

Hope you’re ok @MrsScotland - how many weeks are you now? I’ve always had lots of cramps in the beginning!

21 weeks here now and things finally seem to be settling down a bit (hope I haven’t jinxed it!). Got through the 20 week scan without major issue though will have a growth scan next month.

Have you tested @erinnn0420? I was terrified to test too and was a couple of days late before I caved.

erinnn0420 · 09/03/2024 10:05

Tested last night, negative! And woke this morning with a bit spotting so assuming thats periods starting. An absolute kicker as could of sworn I was! However, going to keep thinking about how big a blessing it will be when it does happen, however long it takes ✨ I’m sure our time will come!

Gingerk1tty · 09/03/2024 12:24

@MrsScotland hope you're doing ok. Also wanted to say that with my son and TFMR baby I had lots of very painful cramping throughout the first trimester. This time I don't have any cramping - I'm learning that every pregnancy is different.

We went for an early scan on Thursday and saw a little bean measuring correctly for my dates with a heartbeat. Called the FMU after and they've booked me for a scan at 10 weeks with one of the consultants. Keeping our fingers firmly crossed that this one will be healthy.

@erinnn0420 sorry it was negative. Keep plodding on and remember it's early days still!

@Dinosaurus86 glad things appear to be looking much brighter for your pregnancy. Must be a big relief to get through both the 12 and 20 week scans!

MrsScotland · 11/03/2024 09:44

Morning ladies!

Well I'm still here, no bleeding, just some strong cramps on Friday night. I had it the first week of my previous pregnancy and know it's normal but just felt myself panicking it was bad news. I made a rookie error on Saturday night, blew my nose on the toilet roll then used it to wipe. Saw the hint of pink on the toilet roll and thought this is it, I'm losing it. Then realised it was just foundation shining through the paper. What an idiot!

@erinnn0420 sorry it wasn't a positive this time but hopefully it's coming. @Gingerk1tty and I have both fallen on the fourth cycle of trying after our TFMRs. Are you doing anything different and are you waiting on any follow ups from the hospital? I started doing BBT (I'd be doing OPKs for a long time), and I also added in Ubiquinol for egg quality.

@Gingerk1tty that's great you had a scan and saw a wee bean with a heartbeat! How many weeks are you now? I am 6 tomorrow, and having a scan next week at hospital at 7 weeks. I am so grateful to be offered that. I will then have a NIPT at 10 weeks. I've got my booking in appt arranged but it's not till 11 weeks this time. I kind of feel like I don't want to go through it all until we know things look ok but I also hope I might have the NIPT results back by then so will see how I feel then. I will talk it through with the screening midwife when I catch up with her next week. Just so glad I have someone who knows my history.

@Dinosaurus86 I am so glad you had a good 20 week scan, that's fantastic.

@Rumbleinthecrumble I am sorry you are having trouble with your cycles, have you managed to see a GP yet?

oneweecraw · 11/03/2024 09:54

Hi all, just catching up with all of this lovely news! It really is so motivating so thank you all for sharing. How was everyone yesterday? I found it really tough but today is another day!
@MrsScotland this all sounds good!! Keep the faith xx
I am currently 11dpo and had bfn yesterday and today. Don't know why I tested yesterday, I'm clearly a psychopath. I've had some left side cramping the last few days and I really felt of pregnant so hoping that was implantation and there's still a chance of bfp? That said, logical side of my brain knows I had bfp at 10dpo with my Tfmr so I should have it by now xx
