@bunnykins123 totally get that! Just take it one day at a time, I have a really good feeling for you! Hopefully you hear back from the clinic really soon and they can offer further help. Is it medication they offer? Any scans? All good over here! Currently abroad for Christmas xx

TheBirdintheCave · 24/12/2022 09:20

@bunnykins123 What a magical moment it must have been telling your husband :) I get the fear though. I remember that we were just like 'Oh ok, it's positive... I guess now we see if it stays positive.' 😂 So anticlimactic. I think we still celebrated with a takeaway though.

@calimc83 Ooh where are you? :)

calimc83 · 24/12/2022 11:38

@TheBirdintheCave we're in Gran Canaria! Beach on Christmas Eve 😆. How u doing? I remember just thinking 'oh fuck' here we go again when we found out! 🙈😆 x

TheBirdintheCave · 24/12/2022 12:38

@calimc83 I'm ok, we just went to the supermarket for some last minute Christmas bits. That was tough 🤢 😂 Had a dream about bleeding last night so fingers crossed it doesn't come true :/

Christmas on the beach sounds lovey :D I hope you enjoy every minute!

calimc83 · 24/12/2022 13:32

@TheBirdintheCave thank you! Yep..I've been there! Still check every time I go to the toilet as well..don't think it ever leaves you 😩 x

curliegirlie · 24/12/2022 14:56

Congratulations @bunnykins123!!! Everything crossed for an uneventful 8 months xxxx

Indianna2006 · 25/12/2022 08:09

mummatara · 25/12/2022 13:59

Merry Christmas to all you wonderful bunch of ladies ❤️ thanks for being an amazing support this past year xxx

FfayeN · 25/12/2022 20:26

Same from me 🥰. You've all made a pretty horrendous year easier to deal with. Today has been largely wonderful with a few bittersweet moments thinking we should have been telling people. Focusing on the here and now I am just telling myself to have patience, me, and the rest of you still waiting will get there and hopefully soon! Merry Christmas xxx

@calimc83 thank you! I'm not sure what the next steps are as pretty much the whole of the nhs will be shut down until the new year so I guess I'll know more then (if I make it that far!) enjoy Gran Canaria - very jels!

@curliegirlie @Indianna2006 thank you! I hope you're both doing well 💕

Merry Christmas everyone (sorry I'm a day late, yesterday was mental with family etc!) I hope everyone had a lovely day.

monsteramunch · 26/12/2022 09:47

Morning everyone, hope you're all doing OK. I've put my little diary below. Based on digital OPK static day we've timed it well I think but based on strip OPKs not so much... ugh. Feel a bit down about it and annoyed it's been out of our control with Christmas visitors making things difficult timing wise!

What do you reckon?

Sun CD 9 ✅ (digital circle, negative strip OPK) DTD - evening

Mon CD 10 ✅ (digital circle, negative strip OPK) DTD - evening

Tues CD 11 ✅ (flashing digital smiley am&pm) DTD - around midnight (so technically CD12)

Weds CD 12 (flashing smiley am)

Thur CD 13 ✅ (static smiley pm, negative strip opk pm) around midnight so technically CD14)

Fri CD 14 ✅ (negative strip opk pm)around midnight so technically CD15

Sat CD 15 (positive strip OPK am and pm)

Sun CD 16 (positive strip OPK am and pm

monsteramunch · 26/12/2022 09:48

✅ are DTD days, obviously!

FfayeN · 26/12/2022 10:04

@monsteramunch I think you're pretty well covered!! Are you planning on DTD today any time? If you can snatch a quickie you've definitely done all you possibly can and some more lol 🤣. I have no idea how the digitals work or why they would have predicted it earlier so I can't help much sorry xxx

Hi
Even when anxiety makes me delete the account, I still follow to see what happens, so happy to see many BPFs in both groups 🥰🥰
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the support in 2022, which was one hell of a difficult year.
Also wanted to give a special shout-out to @FfayeN You have been through so much yet are the one who is the first to comfort, advice, help and support everyone. It's incredible how strong you are and I wish the happiest of endings for you 🥰 I hope your heart feels that your dreams will come true and maybe it is this knowledge that keeps you so resilient. Can't wait to read your happy story in the future ❤️

Merry belated Christmas everyone! Hope you had a good day. We haven't told anyone because I am still anxious and not ready to share the news😳When I say haven't told anyone, at some point we ended up having to tell couple people but it was circumstantial rather than what we wanted to do. Losses do steal the confidence!

Fingers crossed!

Managed to DTD this morning after all in between Christmas duties... a last chance for the month timing wise I think!

Had a static smiley just beforehand too - I haven't tested since the first static smiley as I know they say not to do so for two days so had left it til four days after.

How are you feeling today? x

monsteramunch · 26/12/2022 11:05

@usedtolovenaps what a lovely message! And completely agree @FfayeN has been amazing. I have everything crossed that everyone gets the news they want in 2023 Flowers

FfayeN · 26/12/2022 11:13

@usedtolovenaps that's so lovely of you to say thank you ☺️. It means a lot that at least I can be helpful having had my own experiences. It can be a very lonely place when you're early on in this journey!
How far along are you now? I know what you mean about telling people, it's hard to be excited. Sending you lots of love and support though for when you do 🥰.

@monsteramunch I'm impatient. Also just had a mini meltdown about my body, it's just been through a rollercoaster and I'm feeling pretty bloated and fat today, nothing to where etc etc, you know the drill 😣.
With DTD this morning there is definitely nothing to feel sad about, you've more than covered the bases for a bfp this month 😘😘😘 xxx

@FfayeN just under 14 weeks but when will I ever relax 😫I keep coming across all the bad things that can happen to in the second trimester.

Very strangely, I think I'll be changing my career in the future. Worked and studied so hard to get the job I loved for years but this whole experience created some sort of PTSD where, without going into detail, I feel certain lines were crossed.
This lead me to further explore careers that always interested me and when we can afford it, I will try to go for something I want. Not set in stone yet though.
This shows how losses and the aftermath of them really touch our lives in all the ways we couldn't even imagine - relationships, friendships, careers, etc etc.❤
Do any of you think we'll ever be able to look back and think 'it made me who I am and I can accept it now'?❤I am not sure.

FfayeN · 26/12/2022 12:25

@usedtolovenaps it is strange you say this, as it has definitely changed me as a person. At the moment, not for the better, I'm snappy, irritated and begrudge things I should be enjoying, but at the same time I feel I am better at understanding. I'm just masking a lot of sadness for the time being and I don't know when that'll go. I've often thought about a career in psychology or something I wouldn't even know where to start!
Wow! 14 weeks! Amazing, was your last scan at 12 weeks? I know stats don't help when you've been in that 1% before, but I am sure all will be well, you just have to get through the days and bit by bit hopefully the worry will lessen and lessen 😘 xxx

FfayeN · 26/12/2022 12:26

@usedtolovenaps I'm sorry to hear that this experience has lead to some trauma to deal with too, that's really awful, you should be so proud of where you are now and that you're hopefully turning it into a positive for your future xx

OP posts:
usedtolovenaps · 26/12/2022 12:56

I'm sorry things have been so hard and you have to deal with so much. It seems you're coping so EXTREMELY well though
❤Some universities do psychology conversion courses! They are usually 3 years long (at least the one my friend applied to!). She came from a background of biological sciences but not sure if it's a pre-request or they accept any degree.
If you can't apply for the conversion one but really want to look into psychology, then you'd apply for conventional route psychology. I think there might be some advantage to coming out with the conversion degree (it maybe gives you masters and you're already registered with a recognise body following graduation) as opposed to conventional bsc psychology route but not 100% sure right now.
Sorry for all this info but I feel it's good to have something to look into/explore to keep you going while waiting for your rainbow 🌈
And I just want to acknowledge that you should have been here with me at over 14 weeks and I'm so sorry life can be cruel 😔

usedtolovenaps · 26/12/2022 12:58

@FfayeN sorry forgot to answer your question re scan. Yes, had last one at 12 weeks, so almost two weeks ago now.

TheBirdintheCave · 27/12/2022 10:08

Can't stand this yo-yoing sickness. I felt quite bad yesterday but today I just feel a bit blah. I'm getting more and more nervous the closer we get to Friday.

TheBirdintheCave · 27/12/2022 13:15

And now I've had some brown again after two weeks of nothing 😭
