Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@LucyLoopyLu ok so I’ve just checked out other peoples progression pics and I am going to test again in the morning! If I end up buying more tests then so be it! Although my partner is of the stance that once you have a positive, you are pregnant and no need to keep checking lol!

LucyLoopyLu · 18/01/2023 22:36

@Houseelf90 well I think your other half is right but definitely see why people keep on testing at first! I think if your first FRER was an afternoon one it might be worth doing FMU tomorrow and then after that trying to hold out for the clear blue weeks indicator next week.

Your last test was a clear line so seemed pretty definite to me! I'm guessing it will be the same or darker.
How many dpo will you be tomorrow?

Houseelf90 · 19/01/2023 06:34

@LucyLoopyLu I’m 16dpo today (based on flo app predictions) so hopefully I’ll get a nice strong line, but at least if it’s faint I’ll be prepared for the worst!

Houseelf90 · 19/01/2023 06:57

@LucyLoopyLu I’ve tested, and pleased I have a darker line!! I was panicking to start with as I didn’t think it looked darker but it definitely is when I’ve done a comparison!

Houseelf90 · 19/01/2023 09:10

Thank you @Welshgal85, am trying to think positively now!

Dreamingof3 · 19/01/2023 09:23

@Dreamingof3 thank you 🥰

HeathenPlayingHouse · 19/01/2023 09:41

Congratulations @Houseelf90! ❤️

Bananatoast123 · 19/01/2023 10:21

@Houseelf90 congratulations! This is great news to come back to the thread about!

I’m CD14 of cycle 11! We’ve dtd CD10,12,13 so far and I think I ovulating today due to slight cramping! I haven’t OPK tested as my EWCM is usually on track as to my peak! I’ve had a lot more EWCM this month which is hopefully a good sign!

I’m not feeling overly ambitious as now 11 months in I’m just not expecting it to be any different!

Work is horrendously stressful and I think I’ve been in denial that it has for the last year so I’m now wondering if stress has been the factor, I’ve tried so many ways to manage it too eurgh!

LucyLoopyLu · 19/01/2023 11:34

@Houseelf90 yay congrats again! Definitely darker 😀 hope that has settled your nerves a little bit. Wishing you all the best 🩵

@Bananatoast123 hi, good to hear your update. Really hoping cycle 11 is the one for you. Sounds like you definitely have it covered! 🤞 2023 will be your year

Houseelf90 · 19/01/2023 11:45

Thank you @HeathenPlayingHouse how are you doing?

@Bananatoast123 thank you! Sounds like you are well covered so far! Fingers crossed for you that 2023 is a good year full of baby dust!!

@LucyLoopyLu thank you! I’m pleased I tested today, at least I won’t be thinking about it all day and trying to wait till tomorrow!! Tbh I’m just glad every time I pee and I don’t wipe blood!! That’s what my life has come to 😅
How are you getting on?

BethSuz27 · 19/01/2023 11:55

@Houseelf90 congratulations!!

5dpo today and I’ve had really achey boobs - a bit like I’ve pulled a muscle - but I know it’s probably too early for anything to be to do with pregnancy so trying not to be too
hopeful! Going to start testing on Tuesday at 10dpo, I really really want it and have had so many signs this month I don’t know what I’ll do if im not pregnant

I don’t know how to stop thinking about it!

Houseelf90 · 19/01/2023 12:02

@BethSuz27 thank you!! It’s so difficult isn’t it! I wish I could just forget about my BFP and live a normal life for a couple of weeks without being consumed in this!! Last day of the week at work today as we have 4 day weeks, so hopefully the weekend will be a good distraction rather than having time to think about it whilst I’m working! I hope this month is lucky for you 💞

HeathenPlayingHouse · 19/01/2023 13:00

@Houseelf90 How are you feeling?

I'm doing ok, thank you. 3dpo today, so mostly just feeling tired and spotty haha. I started taking baby aspirin yesterday, that was another part of my regimen when I conceived DS so hopefully it might help 🤞

BethSuz27 · 19/01/2023 13:27

So I’ve just read a post that says this “only 0.5% of pregnancies implant at 6dpo. None implant at 5dpo. Until implantation happens all symptoms (other than cramps) can only be attributed to progesterone. That said, strong early symptoms (albeit caused by progesterone) do suggest a strong ovulation, which gives you a good chance”

so I had super strong ovulation cramps on the left side, I’m 5dpo now and the last day or so I’ve had super sore boobs ( a bit like I’ve pulled muscles in them) and heartburn, so I’m really keeping my fingers crossed for a strong ovulation!!

anyone else had this? The above quote has really helped my mind settle :)

Houseelf90 · 19/01/2023 13:29

@HeathenPlayingHouse I’m generally ok, just worried about another CP but I know there’s nothing I can do about it and worrying won’t help!! I feel bloated, and can’t stop hiccuping, and am getting the odd twinge/pain, which I guess are all good signs. I had lower back ache Monday/Tuesday but seems better now, still the odd pain but not as bad or constant! I did wonder whether I should be taking baby aspirin too as I have seen there are some thoughts that it helps implantation but I guess I’m a bit late to start that now!!
Fingers crossed for you!! Will you test before AF is due or wait? (I told myself I would wait this time but I could just tell 🤣🙈)

HeathenPlayingHouse · 19/01/2023 13:48

@Houseelf90 They definitely sound like great signs for you! The bloating was so bad for me at the start with DS, certainly memorable haha.

I think I'll wait a few days after AF is due if it doesn't arrive- that faint line I got a few months ago was on the day AF was due and it was definitely a mistake to test so early. I've been left in a constant cycle of wondering whether it was a CP, and then thinking it was just my mind playing tricks on me because I had symptoms as well.

Houseelf90 · 19/01/2023 13:59

@HeathenPlayingHouse unfortunately I had these symptoms which my first CP too, although I was 5.5 weeks with that one so quite late for a CP so I guess the symptoms would have been similar. The bloating is crazy this time though, my jeans feel so tight! I worked in lounge pants/pj bottoms things this morning but had to go to the shop at lunchtime so put my jeans on and they feel soo tight!!

I think it’s catch 22 isn’t it, sometimes it better not to know about these things, but then I was also conscious that I’ll be able to get tests if I have another CP, so wanted to know about it!!

HeathenPlayingHouse · 19/01/2023 15:05

@Houseelf90 PJs are definitely your friend right now 😂

I think for me, I've been trying to avoid thinking about it because it felt like although TTC for so many years was a struggle, I've been very fortunate in that I've never suffered from pregnancy loss. Part of me felt like I was being disrespectful to so many women who have struggled with that pain to even consider it as a CP, when for all I know, it could have just been a bad test.

Does that make sense?

Houseelf90 · 19/01/2023 15:22

@HeathenPlayingHouse yes that’s true, I often think I don’t know what’s worse, loss after loss, or struggling to get pregnant. I have friends and family that are struggling to conceive and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to fall so quickly, but at the same time I’m actually not any closer to having a baby (well, fingers crossed that will change with this one!).
But, put bluntly, both situations are crap!!! I find myself so envious of those that can have a one night stand and get pregnant when they don’t even want it!! Just seems so unfair!

HeathenPlayingHouse · 19/01/2023 15:32

@Houseelf90 I know what you mean, it really does seem like everyone around you is getting pregnant when you're waiting. I've just been trying to stay positive and think that if it happens, it will be the right time for us. DS kept us waiting a long time, but we were in a much better position when he did arrive than when we first started TTC. Likewise, I'd love to get a BFP now but having to wait means I can focus on getting DS the support he needs now that he's off to school.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you xx

LucyLoopyLu · 19/01/2023 16:13

@HeathenPlayingHouse
Interesting what you say about being in a better position once your DS came along. I am trying to let go of what my expectations were for us having a family. If I do skip February and March then we will be looking at a 2024 baby (unless this cycle I get my BFP). I feel so sad about it all.

I'm having a tough time this week. I can barely concentrate at work, my brain is just running around anxiously and my thoughts are going round and round like a washing machine.

It's so hard to feel like what you go through isn't hard as there's always the thought that things could be worse. For example I've had 2 miscarriages now, both at 7 weeks. I'm always thinking 'well at least I didn't need any medical or surgical help' or 'at least they were early' the loss at the end of the day is the same outcome no matter the situation.
Also you can't get a false positive so if you saw a faint line then it was definitely a positive. X

Bananatoast123 · 20/01/2023 16:49

@LucyLoopyLu @Houseelf90 thank you both! We didn’t manage to dtd last night and my ewcm has cleared up a lot more today so makes me think I ovulated on CD13! Feeling a bit like gutted we didn’t dtd as not sure how much we got it covered… I always think the more the better! OH said we can tonight just incase but!

Got a final job interview next Friday as I’m determined to move incase it’s the stress of the job but if I get it I’ll test before I accept! I also have a 3 month notice so nervous I’ll get pregnant between jobs and end up on MA! OH isn’t happy to stop too so guess we’ll just have to see!!
