Anyone else just getting to the ‘everyone else is pregnant’ stage? I feel like it’s all I see everywhere I look 🙈 I went to see my friend’s newborn and the topic came up. She was telling us how she’d just stopped the pill and instantly fell pregnant that month. She was so shocked because she didn’t expect it so quick etc and I’m just sat there like no way! Trying to do a proper poker face and shrug off any question that comes my way about wanting another one 😩 One of my best friend’s had a little boy at the same time as me last time and basically said in a round about way the last time I saw her that they wanted to have another soon and were going to start trying. She made it kind of a joke and I just agreed but didn’t actually give away that I felt the same. I’m now thinking she’ll be due to appear with a scan picture any day and my face is going to struggle to hide the disappointment that we aren’t doing it together this time 🙈 I just need to hope November is the month!

buttercupbee · 29/10/2022 21:16

@BCxx yes, so many people I know are pregnant right now! Obviously I’m happy for them but it does make me wish it was me. Fingers crossed for November!

Saribon · 29/10/2022 21:59

@BCxx it’s similar to the pressure of braxton hicks contraction. Like a tightening without pain, very weird

I’m sorry your struggling at the min. It’s a bloody awful time. I had a chemical in July and joined a thread on here that grew into a Facebook group. I don’t use Facebook often but I logged in yesterday and all the women were posting scan photos and that was hard to see. It’s like you don’t resent anyone else’s happiness but you just want yours too.

x

kizzy97 · 30/10/2022 00:10

@My2boysaremyworld it's weird some cycles I do and some I don't since I started ttc my cycles don't seem to follow any rules anymore 😅

UserL95 · 30/10/2022 00:13

I’m now 12DPO and had some slight light pink discharge. Been testing every morning getting bfn. Thinking this may be AF showing up now. Don’t know how much longer I can cope with these high emotions and disappointment.

My2boysaremyworld · 30/10/2022 00:15

@kizzy97 I know what you mean xx

BCxx · 30/10/2022 00:57

@Saribon aww no that must be hard 😔 It is totally like that, you are genuinely happy for them but your face can’t always do that expression when it’s mixed with the sadness and almost panic at the fact you’re not pregnant yet. I really haven’t been trying that long, we only got married in the summer but AF keeps arriving too early for a pregnancy to even get a chance to implant so I feel like it’s just going to keep happening 🤦🏻‍♀️

BCxx · 30/10/2022 00:58

@UserL95 oh no, hopefully it’s not, there is still a chance! What cycle are you on? X

BCxx · 30/10/2022 01:00

@buttercupbee its so hard not to I think, it is easier now I have one already so it’s not the desperation to be able to push a pram or any of that like I had last time, it’s more just about timings this time and the fact I don’t want them being too far apart

Mummyme87 · 30/10/2022 05:52

1dpo here! And the TWW begins. We DTD O, O-2, O-3, wanted to try more but just didn’t happen. I have everything crossed. Please this cycle be the one, cycle 14

Saribon · 30/10/2022 07:01

@BCxx Do you have a short luteal phase? Mine is 10 days and I worry about how light my periods are. They last like three days sometimes two and that makes me worry that I’m not producing a decent lining. I really need to look into what I can take to improve this stuff. I took Agni’s cactus for a month but stopped because I felt like I didn't understand enough about what I was doing to my body. I also only have one tube cos I had an ectopic oh and I’m 39 so I’m def up against it x

Saribon · 30/10/2022 07:15

@BCxx were you on contraception before you started trying?

UserL95 · 30/10/2022 07:17

@BCxx im on cycle 7 of tracking and cycle 10 of trying - this month has felt the hardest!!

@Saribon i have also wondered whether my lining might be too thin based on my periods. Previous research said pomegranate juice is meant to be good for progesterone levels after ovulation but I don’t know how accurate that is.

Butterfliesandroses · 30/10/2022 08:15

@Saribon I got a big implantation dip this cycle and got my BFP. Good luck!

Good luck to all of you ladies xx

Bananatoast123 · 30/10/2022 09:22

CD12 and waiting for EWCM to start and LH to look promising - cycles seem to have stabilised. When we started ttc I’d ovulate around now (9 months ago) but the last 3/4 months it’s been around CD16 - I assume this is a good thing

Ordered some fertility friendly lube - has anyone had success with this?

I was struggling to feel positive about this cycle but then I saw something that was a good omen and I thought this could be it so we shall see!

Saribon · 30/10/2022 09:23

@Butterfliesandroses I really hope that’s the same for me. It plummeted below the cover line then shot straight back up. But I’m more than capable of kidding myself and like i said I haven’t been exactly scientific about times I take my temp . Also some days I forget to do it first thing so it’s been a few mins awake before I’ve taken the temp 😫

Saribon · 30/10/2022 09:24

@Butterfliesandroses congratulations by the way ❤️

Saribon · 30/10/2022 09:27

@UserL95 ill give it a try, surely can’t hurt. I’ve been Googling this morning and a lot said that good diet, high protein after ovulation helps xx

Butterfliesandroses · 30/10/2022 09:31

@Saribon sounds exactly like me, fingers crossed for you! Xx

Mummyme87 · 30/10/2022 09:47

@Saribon fellow one tuber! I also had an ectopic, partially ruptured when I wasn’t ttc. Over 2years ago now.

not sure if anyone is on TikTok, I’m sure she’s on other social media sites but this woman came up who seems to be a fertility therapist and fairly knowledgeable - fertility Rewire.

Saribon · 30/10/2022 09:59

@Mummyme87 it’s awful isn’t it! Do you have other children?

I have three teenagers, I had the copper coil in after my youngest and it worked perfectly for about 8 years then it came out. I don’t know if it came out because I was pregnant or if I got instantly pregnant once it came out but that’s how I ended up with the ectopic. Not trying at all, had no idea just started with the weird symptoms for two week before I tested and knew instantly what was happening.

Fast forward to now and I’m in a new relationship. I was married 20 years and assumed my family was complete but my new partner is younger than me and would love a child so we’re giving it a shot. I had a chemical in July and nothing since. I never tried to get pregnant before, not actively. I was really lucky and just got caught easily so this is all new. I’m very, very lucky to have my children and I just hope I get one last chance for the sake of my partner

I will look up the fertility lady you mentioned

x

Saribon · 30/10/2022 10:02

@Butterfliesandroses thank you. I’m not going to test until my AF is due because if I had another chemical I wouldn’t want to know. I’ll let you know 🤞 xx

I could have written this, I also have very light AF, im 39 (40 in dec) and had an ectopic at the end of last year so lost a tube. Only thing different is my luteal phase seems to be 13-14 days.
My period was the same when I conceived DS. I was taking red clover. Not been taking it this time but I might add it to my list of vitamins!!!

@Purple29 how strange 😃

I have no idea what my luteal phase was previously because I never took any notice. It might have always been short. I think I tended to have 28 day cycles and now I’m 23 - 27 so that’s changed and more often than not it’s 23 days. I wish I had been more aware when I was younger. I’ll def be learning my daughter to be more mindful

What other vitamins do you take ? This month I want to start with vitamins and a better diet so any advice would be much appreciated. Im thinking of booking in some acupuncture sessions too this month.

i bought a fertility cup last month but it didn’t arrive in time for O so I’ll use that this coming month as well

xx
