Thought I'd start a new thread for us all. Will tag as many people as I can but apologies if I have missed anyone

I found the clear blue digital OPKs really helpful in learning my ovulation pattern.

I found the strips too difficult to differentiate between as I never got an especially dark line.

Turns out I ovulate CD19 or so.

Got everything crossed this is the month for me. And everyone else TTC and in the TWW!

Just thinking reading myself back - I tested positive for fertile days on my clear blue digital OPK kit on CD16,17&18 so thought that meant i ovulated on the 19th, when I had super bad cramps.

But could I actually have ovulated on any one of the previous three days then still tested as fertile for the ones following?

In which case might be more than 4DPO?

Gah it's all so bloody confusing isn't it!

wellhelloitsme · 01/09/2022 19:18

This was meant to say CD19, not 19th as in the date:

@wellhelloitsme is it the ones with the flashing & static smiley faces? If so did you get a static smiley on CD18?

EdinburghGirl1 · 01/09/2022 19:27

@SidSparrow I had a bfn at 10dpo and totally thought I was out but then AF didn't show and got bfp so don't count yourself out yet.

@CRLan it's still really early and could be implantation so wouldn't show yet. Give it a couple days then you could try testing again.

Just checked and it's these ones I used:

uk.clearblue.com/ovulation-tests/digital

These ones show either a static empty circle or a static smiley face, and I got three days of static smiley faces on CD16,17 & 18.

Checked instructions and feel stupid now as it says:

"If your result (smiley face) is you have detected your LH surge and have reached your most fertile time. Make love at any time during the next 48 hours to maximise your chance of becoming pregnant. There is no need to carry on testing during this cycle."

We DTD CD 15,17 & 21.

Feel none the wiser now as to whether we've timed it all wrong again after all!

fsr111 · 01/09/2022 19:50

@SidSparrow, @CRLan, I'm in a similar place to you. CD10 yesterday and had a BFN, which made me feel miserable so now trying to resist testing again and will just wait and see if AF arrives (until the weekend anyway!). Actually looked back to the first photo I took of the BFP with my DD a few years ago, and didn't get it until 2 days after AF was due and know I tested before then and got BFN (but I didn't photo that so don't know what day that was on!)

fsr111 · 01/09/2022 19:51

@EdinburghGirl1, I probably already know this but what day was your BFP in the end, after the first test?

EdinburghGirl1 · 01/09/2022 19:58

@fsr111 I got bfp at 15dpo day AF was due

OP posts:
SidSparrow · 01/09/2022 20:50

@EdinburghGirl1 Had you tested before then?

SidSparrow · 01/09/2022 20:52

@fsr111 That's comforting! With DD2 I somehow managed to wait 4 days after AF was due - I have no idea how I managed it. I had no symptoms either. When I did test I would say that the line wasn't overly dark either.

EdinburghGirl1 · 01/09/2022 20:56

@SidSparrow yes at 10dpo with a boots test and it was negative so just left it after that

@wellhelloitsme ah right, I've only ever used the purple ones where you get blank/flashing/static. So it first detected your LH surge (static smiley) on CD16? And ovulation tends to happen between 12-36 hours after that. So say you ovulated on CD17?! Looks like you're definitely in with a very good chance from your DTD days 😀 What CD are you on now?

SidSparrow · 01/09/2022 20:59

@EdinburghGirl1 Oh!!! That does give me hope. I will try and wait as long as I can possibly can before testing again or deal with AF.

Congratulations again! 😊

Thanks so much for coming back to me, really appreciate it Smile

Yes first smiley on CD16 and if I ovulated CD17 that would make me 6DPO now.

I posted this morning to say I felt nauseous first thing (never do normally) but assumed it was probably nothing, probably still is but you know what it's like with symptom spotting!

Very bloated too but again probably way too soon for it to be related to TTC!

Astar21 · 01/09/2022 21:14

@wellhelloitsme no problem at all 😊 yes I'd go off that being your ovulation day. I'm 6DPO today too! I've felt a bit nauseous on and off but I know that can just be from progesterone rising at this point in the cycle. I think I'm going to test 11DPO...or maybe 10DPO 😂

Nypie · 01/09/2022 22:01

@EdinburghGirl1 I've also heard about the full fat milk as well! My bestfriend, parents, dps mum and sister are all may born, I'm june and so is another close friend and then dp is july and so is our anniversary it is the ridiculously expensive and stressful season. I'm kind hoping sods law applies and I get a may baby 😂.

@Londonlady22 great restraint!

I'm 4/5 dpo I feel like it's going really quick for me

NatGee · 01/09/2022 23:37

@anotherscroller keep testing, it may be just round the corner but I agree cd17 looks strong but not quite positive x

anotherscroller · 02/09/2022 07:51

Thanks @NatGee. i agree

wellhelloitsme · 02/09/2022 07:51

7DPO now so halfway there!

Still bloated but that could be down to something else, I just don't know what. Slept really badly too.

Probably just symptom spotting but it's almost impossible not to isn't it?!

Hope everyone else is getting along OK and that there are even more BFPs today for those who are further along in the TWW!

Ki-King · 02/09/2022 08:28

Luckiest thread ever!😭

Omg so many BFP’s congrats everyone ✨🤗

Foreverhopeful92 · 02/09/2022 08:54

Congratulations everyone on the BFPs!
Wow @Ki-King 8 dpo! Did you have any symptoms before you tested?
I’m trying to hold off testing but if it’s possible to get a positive at 8 dpo I may not have much will power! X

NatGee · 02/09/2022 09:02

@amberdixie congratulations on your bfps ! 🥰

NatGee · 02/09/2022 09:03

@Ki-King meant to have included you in my previous post congratulations 🎊 such good news ! Xx
