TWW starting 31.07.22 - Company Needed

Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

Thanks ladies, I'm 4+1 today so I know it's super early days. I think I'm going to quit testing for a bit as it feels a bit like torture. With my first (only successful pregnancy) I literally did one test and a second to show my husband and never thought to do anymore.Funny how much having losses changes you. I do feel more pregnant than I ever did with my other chemicals so who knows. One of my best friends had really faint lines all along but she's now 13 weeks and all scans have been fine so I'll try and stay positive. I've contacted the GP to see if I can get a blood test but mine are notoriously hard to get hold of. Best of luck to everyone.

@TheCakeIsALie18 i've got the sads today. probably just a monday thing but also just dreading the potential disappointment towards the end of the week if AF makes an appearance! trying not to be so pessimistic this early on but I'm sure you totally understand what it's like.

@eleveneleven11 awww no hang in there! Get yourself a sweet treat as a pick me up haha. Are you noticing any possible symptoms? If AF is due end of the week you may feel some cramps today if you're lucky🤞🏻 unless a little bean has settled quietly. I've got everything crossed for you. Get through work today and find yourself something to cheer you up and take you mind off things this evening ❤️❤️ xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 thank you so much! its so nice to have people to admit you're struggling a little bit to on here. i don't feel i can talk about it much to my husband because i think he struggles even more than me with the disappointment so i don't like to have the 'am i aren't i' conversation with him.
I've had dull aches in my tummy for around a week but they seem to particularly come on after eating or drinking which makes me just think its my gut (its sensitive anyway). I'm napping in the day and sleeping more but the heat usually has that effect on me!
what were your early symptoms, if any? x

@eleveneleven11 I know what you mean about having the am I aren't I conversation. The last thing I want is the OH to feel stressed, anxious, or disappointed. So when I was tracking ovulation I didn't tell him about it. I just kept things to myself and I worked out when to DTD etc. He was just enjoying the ride shall we say haha. And then when I tested last month and got negatives I didn't tell him. Didn't tell him when AF arrived either. And then this month when I tested first and got a line that you needed to squint to see I didn't tell him. I waited 3 days to tell him when I had something definitive to show. He's now happy and calm. When I needed to talk to someone I came on here or talked to friends about it ❤️❤️

As for symptoms... so I started falling asleep every day at 3pm from about 6dpo. Would be sleeping 8 hrs a night and still napping in the afternoon. I then had pretty uncomfortable implantation cramping for 3 evenings straight at 7, 8, and 9dpo. I had a metallic taste when I woke up at 10dpo. But the strangest symptoms were sneezing and hay-fever type symptoms from 6dpo... Still on going now and (sorry tmi) lots of farting like I had eaten something that didn't agree with me lol. I got my first faint BFP at 11dpo. Sorry for the lengthy reply xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 gosh you did well to keep all of that on the low! mine is pretty on it with the fertile window and ovulation period - he likes to know what's happening when. but when it gets to the TWW he just goes quiet. it becomes a bit of an elephant in the room i think!

lots of tell-tale signs then! it must have been so exciting noticing them start to trickle in - especially the metallic taste because that's such a specific one xx

@eleveneleven11 yeah, the metallic taste was really weird. I had to go check in the mirror... I thought I might have bitten the inside of my mouth or something lol.

I really hope you and DH get the result you want this month. Maybe go on a date night to ease both your minds ❤️❤️ xxx

@eleveneleven11 well done for holding out, I did too. Actually not remotely in the mood this morning to be testing so that helped.
I know it’s hard, the not knowing is difficult but seeing negative test is always sad. Mondays are always hard, so tell yourself it’s a Monday thing, get through the day, have a nice dinner and go to bed early.
I bought a FRER today as it was on offer. I’m not going to test tomorrow though. If Wednesday morning I really can’t wait then I might I do really wanna try and wait till Thursday for AF.

Has anyone had a false positive with the digital clearblue?
Had a positive this morning and did a other one a couple of hours later (not digital) which I believe is negative.
I thought the digital weren't very sensitive 😅 af was due yesterday and I'm 14dpo

Did another digital after waiting 3hours to wee...and it was negative. Maybe I should just give up with testing 😅🤯

@eleveneleven11 I’ve been the same. Foul mood all day. Let’s just get through today, sleep, and then tomorrow we can regroup. It’s ok to feel shitty though all this sometimes, it’s not all sunshine and roses! Get your some chocolate for tonight or something, close mumsnet, close any period apps and try and just park it for a day or 2. I’m pretty sure I’m out this month which is making me sad but it’s one month, doesn’t mean it’s forever xx

Hi ladies, I’m officially out. AF has arrived today right on schedule which is good as it means I can start fresh with a new cycle.

@dpr89 I don't know about everyone else but I can see the faintest line on that FRER test. Congrats. I saved your photo did a couple of contrast tweaks and put it in BW and you can see the line a little better

@TheCakeIsALie18 it’s getting hard but I just know I’m not Pregnant so would rather see AF than negative test.

@Shleepymummy that makes sense. I think I sort of felt like that last month but one day before AF was due I gave in and took a test because I wouldn't be disappointed by a negative because I knew AF was likely to come. It just got rid of the craving to test lol.

I'm alright thanks. Feeling super sick this afternoon. A combo I think of morning sickness, the heat, and lack of sleep. Hubby was just cooking dinner and I went in to get food, walked into the kitchen and walked straight back out because the smell was vile. Food tasted good, just the smell of cooking lol. Xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 oh no the morning sickness/nausea is just the worst! At least you managed to eat though. I just always had ritz crackers near by and would shove one in whenever nausea hit, it really helped! Glad you’re doing ok though!

Yes I'm ok. Actually I'm kind of relieved because yesterday and today I was feeling pain on my left side and I was freaking out it was another ectopic (had right tube removed a couple of months ago)!
It's not this cycle for me but also it's not an ectopic.

@Shleepymummy ooooh ritz crackers. That's a shout... I have a soft spot for the large cheddars haha.

Something else that is a bit weird right now... OH is sitting next to me and all I can smell is feet 😅 not a bad foot smell, just like a "been wearing socks all day" smell. I smelt his feet and it is his feet I can smell sooo strange 🤣🤣🤣🤣 xxx
