I don’t know what I’m doing with the emojis this month. Got the star signs in there though!

Best of luck to everyone!

Sorry to everyone finding it tough. I thought it would have happened for me by now based off my prev pregnancies. It’s totally unpredictable.

I had a call from hospital today offering me a scan appt on Friday so I’ve taken it up. Hopefully AF will have gone by then πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄

NiceToChat88 · 03/08/2022 06:58

@Mummyme87 AF due today for me, not yet started but the cramps etc are all there and I can feel like making an appearance any minute πŸ₯Ί

That's good that you've been offered that!! Is that a scan of your ovaries etc so see if there's anything going on? I phoned the GP on Monday and she's referred me to fertility clinic, I'm in Scotland and she thinks the wait is roughly 6 months so means if there's no luck by Christmas I won't have to wait to be seen hopefully I'll have an appointment in

Mummyme87 · 03/08/2022 07:57

@NiceToChat88 yes just have a look at everything to see if any obvious issues. I’ve had plenty of scans before when pregnant, with my ectopic, having coil put in and no issues have been raised, so hopefully all good

NSx · 03/08/2022 10:21

@Mummyme87 im so sorry AF is enroute but it’s the start of a new cycle atleast πŸŽ‰
where in Scotland are you? I’m in Glasgow, with my pregnancy earlier this year due to complications I was being treated by Dr Anderson at the QEUH fetal medicine and she was honestly brilliant, I have my follow up on the 19th!

Aurora81 · 03/08/2022 19:47

Hello 😊 so CD 4 for me and I just had an amazing reflexology session. The reflexologist did normal reflexology on me, as she said my body was quite tight... πŸ€” I started doing some gentle fertility yoya myself over the last few days with the help of YouTube πŸ˜‰ and I noticed myself that I was not entirely able for it. Walking no problem, but yoga seemed to use my muscles in a different way and I felt unfit as can be.

How is everyone else doing today😊✨😊

EdinburghGirl1 · 03/08/2022 20:56

@Aurora81 that's good you had a great reflexology session. I'm doing ok. Wednesdays are my day off with my DD so been a nice day together. She starts school in a couple of weeks so making the most of our last couple Wednesdays together.

@NiceToChat88 and @NSx nice to have some fellow Scots in the group 😊

CDD1992 · 03/08/2022 21:00

@Aurora81 good news on the reflexology session and I know what you mean about yoga, I was so sore after when I did it!! I had a lovely little indent on a FRER today πŸ™ˆ not ideal. However, my chart has updated today to say I did ovulate on CD15 so I'm still only 10DPO today. Caved and bought some of those CB early digitals so will try again in a couple of days (can't be dealing with line eyes anymore!!) AF due Sunday so hopefully still time for. BFP before then.

Aurora81 · 03/08/2022 21:00

@EdinburghGirl1 I finish at 3pm on a Friday, and it's great to get home that bit earlier. That's lovely that you get to spend time with your DD. Can't believe tomorrow is Thursday again! 😊 Yes, make the most of your time together, as I found when they start school time is broken up into term times and the year passes faster.

@NSx it can get confusing on these threads don't worry πŸ˜‚ I'm in Stirling! I feel like the waiting lists for things have gone to pot since Covid!!

EdinburghGirl1 · 03/08/2022 21:20

@Aurora81 that's nice you finish earlier on a Friday. Here in Edinburgh schools finish at lunchtime on Fridays so I'll be switching my day off to a Friday so at least we have Friday afternoons together. Especially as she is at her dads every second weekend. This week is flying be which is good but now I just want AF to arrive and move into cycle 3 properly.

Blossomhoney · 04/08/2022 08:20

Hi Ladies hope you are all keeping well, I’ve just got back from my holiday, excited about a new month of trying and sticks!

NSx · 04/08/2022 09:05

@NiceToChat88 yea covid has really messed things up πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

@CDD1992 oh exciting and nerve-wracking all in one✨ did the lime have any colour? The general consensus is that indents are grey and faint positives have a pink tinge 🀞🏻

@EdinburghGirl1 yes it's great, as it's nice to be able to spend more time with my DH and DS.

@Blossomhoney it's nice to get away and recharge isn't it πŸ™ŒπŸ» I am Cd 5 and I have my opks ready in a little wicker basket in our ensuite for Cd 8 🀣

@NSx how are you feeling? I hope the cramps settled down.

Whyismycatanasshat · 04/08/2022 11:01

Starflower oil - is it helpful? I used to take this to help with breast tissue pain but was told to stop taking it when TTC!

I’m having one of those β€œoh gosh do we really want another!?” days today. My period is dragging out due to taking tranexemic acid and my app is telling me ovulation is due in 3 days but it doesn’t feel like the period will have stopped by then and DP will be away 2 days then anyways… plus The three-nagers are sleep deprived today due to next doors builders starting at 7am all week and any day time naps aren’t happening due to said builders, turns out car napping doesn’t happens anymore!
This combined with a flurry of pregnancy announcements has really got me tetchy!
apologies for the complaints.

NSx · 04/08/2022 11:23

@Aurora81 yea they have Im feeling a bit better I’ve been taking paracetamol and that helps too, I’m CD3 so just waiting for the next 2 days to pass so I can start poa next week πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ how are u?

ladies β€” I need advice …

I mentioned in this thread that I lost my DD end of May & my due date was November, my fiancΓ©s best friend was due 3 weeks before me & she’s just invited me to her baby shower, I’ve legit just started crying … it sounds awful but she is a trigger to me because we should have had babies together πŸ’”to top it off my fiancΓ©s sister is 23 weeks pregnant too and now she’s showing & I’m struggling to be in her company too…
as if the loss of my own child ain’t bad enough, everyone around me is pregnant and due round about my due date 😭

am I being over sensitive ? X

CDD1992 · 04/08/2022 11:57

@NSx no you're not being too sensitive. You've suffered a terrible loss and you cannot help how your pain makes you feel. It's hard not to be envious of everyone around you getting exactly what you want. And they always make it look so easy. We have to remember that everyone has a different story, some books are just much longer than others. Try your best to support your friend and sister in law, as I'm sure you'd love them to be along with you when it's your turn ✨ you will get your BFP 🀍

Aurora81 · 04/08/2022 12:12

@NSx it's still very raw for you and understandably so. I would just allow what's needs to be released to be released at your own pace and deal with everything else when you can ✨ Grief is an individual process. Take care of yourself.

NSx · 04/08/2022 12:17

@CDD1992 @Aurora81

thanks so much for your kind words ✨
I do think this is a process that nobody prepares you for & it’s really hard to control your feelings when you feel like you’ve been robbed of something so precious & then for everyone so close round about to get that one thing you were meant to have.
I feel better knowing I’m not going stir crazy, like you said I think I just need to take it day by day and try be there for them, even though sometimes it’s very painful. I try to remind myself it’s not their fault, I don’t want to be jealous, I’m not naturally a jealous person anyways.

thanks girls πŸ’– I think I just needed some reassurance xx

cavebaby · 04/08/2022 15:24

@NSx Definitely not being over sensitive and you wouldn't be unreasonable to decline the invitation. You can be happy for your friend whilst also grieving your own loss and not wanting to be surrounded by non stop baby talk.

CD 9 today and my starflower oil only arrived yesterday. I took one last night and one this morning but is this likely to have any impact on this month? I didn't ovulate until CD20 last month so they may have a good 10 days to kick in.

NSx · 04/08/2022 15:53

@cavebaby thanks very much, I think you’re totally right there. I will politely decline , I’m sure she will understand. ☺️

I started taking starflower cd1 but I normally ovulate around cd14 or there abouts - so not really much more than if u start now?

let me know if it works I used it last month too but can’t remember if it made a diff πŸ˜‚

Nichelette · 04/08/2022 16:53

Hopping over from April if you don't mind. Was absolutely convinced something was going on as got to CD30 yesterday and really thought I had symptoms, but apparently not as got AF this morning. Last month was only a 25 day cycle and I'm usually 27/8. Anyway, have bought conception vitamins today, am drowning my sorrows in wine and pizza and will go again this month..

Mummyme87 · 04/08/2022 21:28

@NSx definitely not being over sensitive and I’m sure they wouldn’t be upset if you declined the invitation. I suspect she has been worried about asking you to come aswell. Its a long process and you will still be grieving xx

NSx · 04/08/2022 21:48

@Mummyme87 yea I think she has been nervous to ask me, she got her husband to ask my fiancΓ© if I would come before she asked.
it’s just an awful situation all round, but thanks for the support it means a lot, I’ve had a wee cry & now I’m ok … life goes on and I need to be hopeful for the future 🀍 🌈 x

calipoppy · 04/08/2022 21:58

@NSx I don't know if you remember but I'm in a very similar boat to you after a second trimester loss a few months ago, I also have 2 friends due within a few weeks of my due date and to be honest I've just had to distance myself for now. I keep reminding myself that if it was the other way round I would totally understand and just want them to protect themselves, I'm sure your friends feel that way too. Big hugs xxxx
