I don’t know what I’m doing with the emojis this month. Got the star signs in there though!

Cycle 10 for me 😀

Best of luck to everyone!

*evaps lol

NSx · 20/08/2022 23:39

@Babydust99 this is true the problem is when the line is so faint it’s hard to distinguish and some people imagine the line to be pink but it’s really just a pale gray😩 our eyes deceive us

Babydust99 · 20/08/2022 23:42

@NSx my first one 100% has pink on it. I'm not sure of the second one because it's not just as clear

Babydust99 · 20/08/2022 23:43

They also show up as a negative

Babydust99 · 20/08/2022 23:45

Whoops didn't upload properly lol

Nypie · 21/08/2022 00:50

Jumping abroad from the April bus...took a little break and now I'm cd9 and in the fertile week!

Sorry to everyone with BFNs it is crapp but we'll get there! Doing a few things differently this cycle: eating healthier, only DTD once every two days, trying to destress and improve circulation oh and slapping myself if I symptom spot once in TWW!

Anyone trying anything new??

Babydust99 · 21/08/2022 01:06

@Nypie Hi 😊 I recognise you from the April board. I'm just waiting for af now. I had a similar approach this month and didn't symptom spot until my tests went haywire. Feel so much better for it but can't wait for af now so I can move on

Londonlady22 · 21/08/2022 02:08

@Nypie I remember your username from April thread. I’m just a little ahead of you on CD15 and approaching ovulation day. I decided after last month to set myself a few rules too….1) ignore any symptoms I think I may feel, only symptom I want is a late period!! 2) no testing until I’m officially late, I tortured myself by testing last month 3) keep busy in TWW to distract myself from googling 4) eat healthy and moderate exercise!

EdinburghGirl1 · 21/08/2022 07:15

Morning everyone just catching up from yesterday. How are we all doing today? I'm 5dpo and managing ok in the tww so far. I did feel like a had some very mild cramping on left side yesterday which I thought was unusual, almost like mild ovulation pain but not reading anything into it as too early for anything.

@Babydust99 sorry you're having such a confusing time over tests. How are you doing this morning?

@Mummyme87 that's such a shame for your friend but good she was able to confide in you. @NSx I didn't when I was ttc 6 years ago as wasn't on forums either. I got my bfp took a second test the next day and that was it. I didn't realise until this time round and being on here just how many people seem to get them.

@H1994 yay happy BDing

@Nypie hi I recognise your name from the April thread too. That's good you're trying a few different things this cycle. Fingers crossed this is your month. Only thing different this month is I started taking pregnacare. Also trying not to symptom spot this tww and not think about it so much.

ThePodParent · 21/08/2022 07:18

Hello all! 1DPO today so starting out on my 4th TWW this time around.

@Londonlady22 I completely agree about not symptom spotting - I think I’ve had pretty much every symptom going over the past 3 months ttc and a bfn every time so they clearly don’t actually tell me anything! This time I’m going to try to go with β€˜That doesn’t mean anything’ instead of β€˜oooooh maybe I’m pregnant πŸ˜ƒβ€™ each time I get β€˜a symptom’.

Going with keeping busy and forcing myself to pee as soon as I’m up to avoid testing!

Good luck to everyone this month!

EdinburghGirl1 · 21/08/2022 07:28

@ThePodParent good plan and yes symptoms don't seem to mean much πŸ˜‚

calipoppy · 21/08/2022 07:46

Girls I don't get what is going on! Top to bottom that's Thursday to today each day with fmu. I did 3 tests yesterday and all were as light as the one in the photo or paler, and then this morning seems darker again?!

@NSx you were right to say don't lose hope but I'm so confused!

Mummyme87 · 21/08/2022 07:53

Ohh @calipoppy thats a lovely line. So if you hadn’t tested yesterday you would be none the wiser of those fainter lines

EdinburghGirl1 · 21/08/2022 07:53

@calipoppy that's great news. So happy for you todays is much darker.

calipoppy · 21/08/2022 07:55

Thank you both! @Mummyme87 that's such a good way of looking at it, I totally see why people say just step away from the tests as yesterday I was sure it was game over!

cavebaby · 21/08/2022 08:33

@calipoppy So pleased for you! Hope yesterday was just a blip and you have a healthy, happy pregnancy :)

I think super sensitive, cheap pregnancy tests have caused so much anxiety for us women TTC, it's so affordable and easy to test from really early on and then keep testing and I think often it raises more questions than answers. I reckon it was so much less stressful and all-consuming when you just waited for late periods and morning sickness!

Mummyme87 · 21/08/2022 08:36

8dpo today. Tender boobs and a bfn on a cheapie. Gives me the go ahead for a couple of drinks tonight

Jade57 · 21/08/2022 08:41

Hi girls this is my first month tracking ovulation. I'm cycle day 8 and I'm wondering if someone could tell me if the line progression on opk looks ok? My cycles aren't regular. When do you think ovulation will happen?

SidSparrow · 21/08/2022 09:17

@calipoppy Yey!! Congratulations! Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy!

I think I'm near ovulation. Been reading through the posts and keep reading to DTD every other day. What's the reasoning behind not doing it as often as possible? Thanks!

cavebaby · 21/08/2022 09:34

@SidSparrow There was thinking that DTD every day will deplete sperm levels and so DTD every other day allows the sperm levels to return to normal. However since then other experts have said that as long as a man doesn't have any problems with his sperm, he should be fine to DTD daily. Every other day should still have you pretty covered though :)

SidSparrow · 21/08/2022 09:37

@cavebaby Thanks! I wondered. Now I know. πŸ˜„

NSx · 21/08/2022 10:34

@calipoppy yaaay! I’m so happy for you; I had a feeling in my gut about you! πŸ’œπŸ’•
how many dpo. Now you can go through you’re original DD with a bit of happiness ✨

@EdinburghGirl1 yep I hadn’t heard of half of the stuff I know now, I guess I was naive lol 😝

@Mummyme87 i think 8dpo is quite early so I wouldn’t class yourself as out - but enjoy the πŸ·πŸ˜…
