I don’t know what I’m doing with the emojis this month. Got the star signs in there though!

Cycle 10 for me 😀

Best of luck to everyone!

@NatGee no problem ☺️ are you planning on temp charting the whole month now so you can get a good view on what your patterns are? X

Mummyme87 · 07/08/2022 18:50

@NatGee I had it done a couple of times at work (work in a maternity unit so have access to gynae doctors 😬) but my GP was going to do it for me anyway

NSx · 07/08/2022 19:11

@Mummyme87 working where you do, you must have a good insight on what you can do to boost fertility and have successful pregnancies, apart from the obvious things we normally hear - have u ever had any other tips or interesting info from the doctors and nurses at work?
I work in a doctors surgery so it’s not quite the same but I see patients daily with lots of different fertility issues and I try to learn what I can from them

Mummyme87 · 07/08/2022 19:24

@NSx not really. I’m a midwife mainly on labour ward, so apart from have sex or IVF…. 😬

NSx · 07/08/2022 19:50

@Mummyme87 ah ok πŸ˜…πŸ€£ do u enjoy it ?

Aurora81 · 07/08/2022 19:56

Just watched this YouTube video and the part where she discusses low progesterone and chemical pregnancies really resonated with me. I hope information in the video helps those who has losses too.

Mummyme87 · 07/08/2022 19:57

@NSx yes I love my job on the whole, have absolutely horrific shifts, two of which were this week, the pressures are astronomical and it’s incredibly stressful and highly emotional for good and bad reasons. But I do love it. I’m a labour ward co-ordinator so, in charge of labour ward and seemingly the whole bloody unit a lot of the time but stress levels are high 😬😬 luckily seeing new babies all the time doesn’t affect me whilst ttc!

Aurora81 · 07/08/2022 19:59

Sorry but my phone keeps changing words I have typed. I literally find predicted text annoying πŸ™„

NSx · 07/08/2022 20:06

@Mummyme87 i don’t know if I could do it tbh I would struggle with my past - but I’m glad u love it πŸ’œ I would imagine seeing cute babies every day would be lovely in normal circumstances

Aurora81 · 07/08/2022 20:11

Does anyone do or tried self fertility massage? I am going to give it a go later. I read some positive comments on a YouTube video showing how to do it.

Londonlady22 · 07/08/2022 21:43

Felt pretty down today AF arriving, I have some new rules for this cycle that I thought I would share… 1) No early testing, I spent a small fortune testing last month as early as 8DPO, sometimes multiple times a day! It was just like a form of torturing myself. 2) ignore symtoms, the only symptom that I am hoping for this month is a late period! Nothing else counts as I ended up convincing myself I was pregnant, again, just torturing myself. 3) Start charting more accurately, take temp the same time everyday etc 4) stop the obsessing googling… just because somebody else got a BFP at 7DPO doesn’t mean you will, equally just because somebody got there BFP at 20DPO doesn’t mean you will! Everybody is different and no 2 stories are the same! 5) plan things to do during the TWW to distract myself. …. Lets see if I can stick to them 😜

CDD1992 · 07/08/2022 21:58

@Londonlady22 sorry to hear your AF arrived but love the new cycle rules you've put in place! X

Londonlady22 · 07/08/2022 22:04

@CDD1992 we must hve similar cycles. Hopefully we will have more luck this month πŸ™

Aurora81 · 07/08/2022 22:27

@Londonlady22 we want to be pregnant so much that it's hard when we find out that we aren't. The cost of pregnancy tests alone are a deterrent for me to test early. I bought the easy at home tests that are cheaper than frer's. The only time I will test early with a frer is if I genuinely feel pregnant or if my bbt chart goes higher than normal.

NatGee · 07/08/2022 23:34

@CDD1992 you bet. I'm literally obsessing over your chart. I'd think i was pregnant too if i saw such a pattern. You did really well recording all the small events πŸ‘πŸ½Looks like you use a digital opk, CB perhaps? I was going to use strips but think they may be a bit of a faff.

CDD1992 · 08/08/2022 06:44

@NatGee i just use the Easy@Home OPKs. The app then tells you when you're low/high/peak. I had a bit of a drama with some other cheap test strips and the new ones only arrived the day I got my peak so looking forward to testing with them a bit earlier this month to recognise a true pattern building up to ovulation. X

Orangesaretheonly · 08/08/2022 07:22

Hi ladies! Hopping over from April thread as AF due next few days and getting BFNs and some spotting. TTC#3 this will be second cycle. Last month we didn't dtd at all until peak day evening as my husband was away so this month going to try SMEP as I tend to ovulate quite quickly after peak so wondering if that was why it didn't work.
Like someone else said I am not going to symptom spot. Ive been so bloated last few weeks was convinced I was pregnant. Baby dust to all ✨

NatGee · 08/08/2022 08:18

@CDD1992 phew! glad you got them just in time. Yeah, I want to avoid all that drama with the OPKs as i could easily miss my peak. I may go for the CB kit just to be on the safe side. Time is of essence.

@Orangesaretheonly hello ! baby dust to you, hope this is your cycle. Also on cycle #3 TTC here. Yeah symptom spotting drives you absolutely insane, best not done but it is very difficult not to.

NatGee · 08/08/2022 09:03

@NSx I ordered my fertilily, it's arriving tomorrow 🀞😁 im only on CD2 so itll be here in plenty of time
They say you need to keep it in for 20 mins. do you think raising your legs for that amount of time could do the trick too?

Found this article by the way, its a daily mail piece and for all we know could just be a plug but it did cheer me up :)

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-9056409/Woman-told-never-conceive-naturally-falls-pregnant-using-conception-cup-won-competition.html

Mummyme87 · 08/08/2022 09:08

Welcome @Orangesaretheonly also ttc #3 but on cycle 11.

CD8 today. Empty circle on CB digital which I’m glad about as got a static smiley face this time last cycle which was too early. I did have lots of EWCM last night, definitely has upped a lot since starting starflower oil

CRLan · 08/08/2022 09:39

@NatGee just read the reviews about the fertilily cup and they all seem amazing! Really tempted to buy this and give it a go. Nothing to lose I suppose? Loads of people say to me raising your legs doesn’t make a difference but I think it does at this point I’ll try anything to help.

thedust · 08/08/2022 09:48

Hello, moving over here after AF arriving today! Normally have a 28/29 day cycle but this month it was 32, just to trick me! So not going to test until past 32 next cycle. @Londonlady22 I'm going to try to do similar to you this cycle, I did way too many tests this month! Didn't help that I had a stomach bug and threw up at about 8dpo so convinced myself it was morning sickness. I'm going to track BBT but try not to obsess with it as its first month so don't know what my pattern will look like! Also trying to just eat healthier and be more active, July wasn't a good month as DH and DD has covid.

NatGee · 08/08/2022 10:21

@CRLan Nothing to lose you're right, apart from potentially wasting Β£30 odd quid πŸ˜‚ but hey, will try anything. Yes i heard that lifting your legs doesn't make a difference but then isn't that more or less the idea behind these fertility cups? Keep the sperm up there in an effort to push it up? Idk

NatGee · 08/08/2022 10:22

@Mummyme87 starflower thats interesting. do you take the oil or capsules? What's it meant to do?

Mummyme87 · 08/08/2022 10:57

@NatGee i take the capsules. It increases Ewcm, I don’t have much since having the mirena coil. Also works quickly
