Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

I've started spotting this morning at 8 weeks and I'm so nervous now. Don't want to get too upset and phone my other half but nobody tells you how terrifying these things are. Praying it doesn't come to anything

It's scary isn't it!

I've bled in both my pregnancies. Bright red blood at 11 weeks with DS and thankfully all fine and 7/8 weeks with the twins and again thankfully all fine.

They never found the reason for any of the time I bled but said it's more common than we're lead to believe and doesn't always mean miscarriage. It can be simple things like irritation of cervix etc.

🤞🏼 for you xx

@PinkButtercups i have the worst back ache! My lower back is in bits at the end of every day!
Mum even got me a wheat bag to ease the cramping, we went to a place yesterday and ended up walking for three hours and my back was horrific when i got home. Even this morning my back is aching 😂
How are you doing? X

I had really bad back pain on my lower left mainly! Thankfully it's gone now.

I'm feeling okay thank you. How're you?

I'm getting lots of movement now which is nice and sometimes they're really active but I think that's when they're fighting in there 🫠🤣

HeathenPlayingHouse · 31/08/2022 16:31

Hope everyone is well ❤️

At what point do you give up waiting for ovulation? I'm CD18, I've taken Clomid (albeit expired) and myoinositol this cycle, and my OPKs are still barely registering a 2nd line.

I'm trying to stay optimistic but a part of me just wants to give up waiting and take the Provera to start again.

DesertSnow · 31/08/2022 17:30

@Nypie Absolutely, knowledge is power, as they say. Even if the knowledge is a bit disheartenening. Great that you saw changes to your cycle with the supplements, I'm hoping it will help me too!

@EdinburghGirl1 @WingingIt09 and anyone else who used B6 - did you take it throughout your cycle, or just after ovulation? I've read it can delay ovulation if you take it before which I def don't want!

@SarahShorty I'm sorry it's so tough for you. Fingers crossed you get your BFP, or they manage to test your OH soon.

You'll have to let us know if there's two in there @LauraA31, intrigued now!

@Bananatoast123 Great those tests came back normal, hope your GP is able to get your answers on the TSH

Hi @dobby13, good to hear from you but sorry your symptoms have been so rough on you. Hope they ease. Good luck with the scan!

@lj2022 Sorry to hear you're spotting, must be so nerve-wracking. Got everything crossed and the scan tomorrow sets your mind at rest.

@HeathenPlayingHouse It might happen just when you give up! But if testing it stressful, maybe take a break from testing and just try to DTD regularly until AF (if she turns up?)

WingingIt09 · 31/08/2022 17:43

@DesertSnow I took it throughout but actually my ovulation was 2 days later this cycle so that might be why!

LucyLoopyLu · 31/08/2022 17:45

@DesertSnow how are you doing? Whereabouts in your cycle are you now?

@Heathenplayinghouse hi, sorry no advice for you but wanted to say hi 😊 hope you're ok

DesertSnow · 31/08/2022 17:59

@WingingIt09 ah thanks, good to know (I know it's anecdotal, but still helpful). Think I'll try taking just after ovulation then, as I ovulate between CD20 ad CD22 and don't really want to be later than that! Can always rethink after a few months if it doesn't do anything!

@LucyLoopyLu I'm just coming to the end of AF so preparing for first attempt at ttc in just over a week. Not expecting anything to come of it first cycle, but think I'll feel relieved once we start trying as there's been 18 months of build up to this point! How are you doing? Have you had any more cramps today? Which cycle is this for you?

EdinburghGirl1 · 31/08/2022 18:11

I'm 15dpo and AF due today. I had negative test on Saturday and was convinced I was out this month but started feeling a bit nauseous today and no AF so took a test and amazingly it was a bfp. I'm in complete shock as just didn't not expect it

EdinburghGirl1 · 31/08/2022 18:17

@DesertSnow I took it 6 years ago so I honestly can't remember if I took it before ovulation. That's exciting it's almost time to start ttc

@dobby13 sorry to hear you're struggling with symptoms.

LucyLoopyLu · 31/08/2022 18:24

@DesertSnow you never know, lots of people are lucky and get pregnant straight away! Hopefully not too long for your BFP. Good luck for cycle 1 anyway 🙂

I know what you mean about it being a long road, we got married in 2020 and I was hoping that we would be able to TTC towards the end of 2020. In reality covid really knocked us back (work / money reasons) and also our house renovation was a lot more expensive and time consuming than we had hoped.

I had my coil out in March so this is cycle 5 and I'm 8 dpo. Constantly feeling pretty low level stress around it but I have been feeling horrendous during the last week before my period. I'm testing either Monday or Tuesday (probably Monday) and AF due on Wednesday. I'm still having the odd crampy feeling but that's not really unusual for me. I have been unusually hungry today and yesterday but I don't think I can call that a possible symptom 🤣

LauraA31 · 31/08/2022 18:48

@DesertSnow i will indeed, i think there is only one in there. I shall find out tomorrow, ive started with pink spotting so my EPU have told me to go for a scan tomorrow to make sure all is okay, they’re great bless them.
I just hope all ends up okay but will update tomorrow 🙂

Hope everybody is keeping well!

WingingIt09 · 31/08/2022 19:33

@DesertSnow forgot to add I was also coming off the back of a chemical pregnancy so that might have been what delayed ovulation also

@EdinburghGirl1 congratulations!

@LauraA31 @lj2022 sorry you've both started spotting. Hope everything is ok for you xx

I had a proper dye stealer this morning at 16dpo. Trying to let that reassure me as I'm cramping a bit this evening. I know it's normal as I cramped with both my daughters pregnancies but today and tomorrow are the points that I started bleeding with my last two losses so I'm a little nervous. 12th Sept and my EPU appt cannot come quick enough!

@EdinburghGirl1 wow congratulations!!

LauraA31 · 31/08/2022 19:46

@WingingIt09 thank you! hopefully it will all be okay tomorrow, not got long to see. Boyfriend has got me on a strict relax policy tonight, he has me bed bound watching TV 😂

That dye stealer looks incredible! I got my dye stealer at 15/16DPO and then my 3+ weeks at 4 week pregnant 🙂
Fingers crossed this little one sticks! It looks brilliant though, it’s great you have an appointment coming up, mine isn’t until the end of September 🤞🏻

LauraA31 · 31/08/2022 19:46

@EdinburghGirl1 congratulations!!! Xx

SarahShorty · 31/08/2022 20:15

@DesertSnow thank you xx I'm hoping we get both, a lovely surprise and some reassurance for the future.

@EdinburghGirl1 congratulations! xx

Tropicana1 · 31/08/2022 20:19

@lj2022 and @LauraA31 so sorry you've both got spitting, really hope good news all round tomorrow at your scans

@EdinburghGirl1 yay congratulations!! Great line and amazing willpower on the testing front 😂

Feeling really nauseous today, 6+4 and not sure if this is about the same or earlier than it kicked in last time, been feeling bloody rough though all day

SarahShorty · 31/08/2022 20:28

I'm CD35, 14DPO tomorrow. Have had moderate cramps on and off over the last couple of days, had some tugging sensations yesterday and some more cramps today. Period due to start tomorrow. If nothing by Friday, then I'll test. I know it may sound crazy but lately I've started praying. I'm not a practicing religious person by any means, but I'm finding praying is cathartic, even if it has no tangible effects.

Dreamingof3 · 31/08/2022 20:34

Congratulations @EdinburghGirl1 that's a great line

@WingingIt09 that line is amazing, but i can understand why these few days will be particularly nerve-wracking for you!

HeathenPlayingHouse · 31/08/2022 22:08

@EdinburghGirl1 Congratulations!

As fate would have it after that little moan about waiting, I finally got a bit of EWCM. So I guess I can hang on a bit longer 😂

Welshgal85 · 31/08/2022 23:00

Congratulations @EdinburghGirl1 !

Nypie · 31/08/2022 23:02

@DesertSnowIt is hard isn't it, but your're doing everything you can now its all timing.
I think it must depend on how much b6 your taking, I take mine with a multi fertility vitamin so it's 10mg and have not seen any difference to my cycle length in fact I think I ovulated a day early on cd15.

@EdinburghGirl1 congrats againnn I was going to ask what on earth you were testing on to get bfn before this blinder but I see you were going on sheer willpower ;)

@WingingIt09 so sorry to hear about the spotting you really dont need that stress but look at that ridiculous line and glad you have your scan!

lj2022 · 01/09/2022 10:27

Thanks everyone for your nice messages of reassurance about the spotting! @LauraA31 hope you're holding up okay ? I'm sitting with my laptop on today not really doing much work. The spotting stopped yesterday but started again this morning and just so unsure how to think/feel. My fiancé is so nervous for the scan today bless him I've never seen him show so much emotion he usually holds it all back. No matter the outcome I'm just glad I'll know tonight how things are

lj2022 · 01/09/2022 10:28

@EdinburghGirl1 massive congratulations ❤️
