I had a positive smiley yesterday on a clear blue digital, DTD today, yesterday, day before and every other day before that. I would do tomorrow but fiance goes away for 5 nights for work. I think / hope I've done enough 🤞

Is anyone testing 31st / 1st July? Here if anyone wants company! 🙂

@LilyDaniels thank you! Got my fingers crossed for you too! Yes I'm trying for my first. I was doing loads of ovulation tests for a few months but I'm trying to take the more relaxed approach this month 😅 I was 5 days late last month so really got my hopes up 🙈 Definitely harder than you think isn't it?! xx

LilyDaniels · 18/07/2022 09:16

@GeorgiaGK it's my first too! I came off the pill in Feb and my cycles have gradually got longer. I was going to start trying last cycle but Fiance went away bang on my fertile week! So this is my first real try. I'm with you on attempting the relaxed approach! x

Welcome ladies! I'm 3dpo and already having to put it out my mind and not think about symptoms and tests!! Grin it's going to be a long TWW!!

GeorgiaGK · 18/07/2022 09:35

@LilyDaniels I came off the pill after ten years about 2 years ago now and then started trying in March. I hope it happens quickly for you! It's going to be another long two weeks but I find it quite exciting 😆

@Nita19 I'm forever symptom spotting 😆 I'm always so sure I'm going to get a positive and then nope 🙈 here's to hoping for this cycle!

MamaNolan · 18/07/2022 09:50

Wishing you all luck - we got our positive on 29th July 2021! Little miracle currently napping on me!

LilyDaniels · 18/07/2022 10:01

@GeorgiaGK I find it exciting too! Impossible to not get your hopes up 😬
@MamaNolan congrats!! Hope you're having a lovely summer in your baby bubble x

Morning ladies - so 48 hours has passed since static smiley and its now disappeared from test (as per instructions) assuming now I just wait for the 2 weeks, see if AF appears, do a preg test and then start using OPKs again if not positive? This is my first cycle trying and feel like I was massively lucky catching my peak ovulation. P.s. too hot to DTD last night, but did early this morning instead, sorry TMI 😂 hopefully covered ourselves this month but will now wait and see...

bellaolive · 18/07/2022 10:03

Also does anyone get really bad lower back cramps during ovulation?! I feel like I've had it on and off all weekend and this morning!

HeartNutella · 18/07/2022 10:04

LilyDaniels · 18/07/2022 08:52

@HeartNutella congrats on your positive test! I use CB too. Did you use the 'four or more day', or 'two or more days'? It's hard work waiting for the positive isn't it, I always test positive on day 27.. so a super long wait for me.
@GeorgiaGK Good luck 😁 is this your first?

I'm wondering if testing on the day my period is due is
too early (14dpo) or whether to wait till 15dpo.. the last thing I want is a false negative!

Thank you @LilyDaniels . Yes I used the four or more day one. Oh my goodness it was so hard, I think i would have lost it if I used the 2 or more days. I got 5 days of high fertility and I was like it better be the peak today lol. Wow that's a super long wait,, wish you all the best.

LilyDaniels · 18/07/2022 10:05

@bebellaolive I think most pregnancies happen from DTD day before Ovulation so you should defo be covered. I didn't actually test again after my first static. Enjoy your two week wait!

Hi everyone, 4/5 dpo here. Second cycle ttc, already have a DD age 4.

I’m a bit more chilled than last month as I’ve just returned from holiday and busy catching up today at work. But I can feel the excitement/anxiety building.

Really hoping we have some bfps on this thread, good luck to everyone 😊

Nita19 · 18/07/2022 10:44

Eeekkk the more ladies joining the more likely for some bfps! Good luck ladies! 🤞🏼 @vitahelp it sounds like you're pretty similar to me! I'm only 3dpo trying for #2 and we also have DD aged 3.5 Grin

vitahelp · 18/07/2022 11:30

@Nita19 Hi, gosh we are similar! How long did it take you to get pregnant with your DD? I was really lucky back then and it was the second cycle trying, really hoping it’s the same again this time but I’m worried my age may work against me now (35)

cey · 18/07/2022 11:36

Hey all! It's my first time posting here so I hope I'm doing it right! Been following along and learning the lingo ☺️ Getting excited for you all! I'm on a similar timeline to you guys, at 2 dpo!

Just started trying again after loosely trying towards the end of last year! Think I had a chemical and decided to take a break because we had a lot on at the time!

Hoping we all have an exciting month ahead! ♥️

LilyDaniels · 18/07/2022 11:51

@vitahelp Good luck with baby #2! Atleast you have work to keep you busy!

@cey Sorry to hear about your chemical ☹️ Since starting this journey I've been surprised learning how common they are. I hope this is your month! 🤞 x

@vitahelp my DD was first time! So very very lucky!! We are on cycle 3 this time around and trying to stay positive! Bless you there are so many worries when TTC and through pregnancy! I don't think I stopped worrying until DD was actually born and in my arms! ❤️

I'm very very pleased we aren't having to DTD in this weather ladies 🥵

bellaolive · 18/07/2022 16:02

@Nita19 @vitahelp seems we're all in a similar boat as I also conceived my son during first cycle! Let's hope lightening strikes twice for us again!!! 😊

cey · 18/07/2022 16:24

@LilyDaniels yes same, had no idea they were so common until I found Mumsnet from googling symptoms! 🙈
Happy I found this though, it's such an exciting process to go through that you don't really share with friends and family so this group is a great idea! Fingers are crossed for you and everyone in here!! 🌸

Nita19 · 18/07/2022 16:33

@cey I couldn't agree more! Like you say it's an experience you don't really share with friends and family for obvious reasons! And actually it can be quite a difficult and stressful time so it's great to be able to vent and speak with people who understand and to know you're not alone in how you're feeling sometimes! Flowers

cey · 18/07/2022 17:51

@Nita19 yes 100%! I was a bit shy to message at first but then I thought how nice it would be to congratulate others and if I'm lucky enough to share good news too! Or ofcourse offer support for the next month! Now we just wait... ☺️
It's all a little surreal but feeling so ready and excited for this crazy ride!

LittleDoveLove · 18/07/2022 22:30

Hello, I got a positive on my opk last night and today so I will join you too 😊 x

LilyDaniels · 19/07/2022 05:36

@LittleDoveLove thanks for joining 🙂! Is this your first?

Ladies I'm a bit confused this morning...
I got my static smiley on Saturday, so assumed I'd ovulate Sunday/latest Monday, but this morning I've noticed quite a lot of EWCM... Surely I can't be ovulating this late 😭

My partner went away yesterday so we haven't DTD since Sunday (and we did most days prior to this).. so 1) do you think I'm covered? 2) is it normal to have EWCM after Ovulation?

I'm pretty sure I read on one thread it's still normal to have it after your peak.. but I'd be interested to know your thoughts on this?

I've attached my flow calendar also.

TWW starts now.. Anyone testing 1st August?

GeorgiaGK · 19/07/2022 10:43

@LilyDaniels Hmmm even if you are ovulating a bit later I'd say you're still covered as they say sperm last around 5 days? 🙏

Nita19 · 19/07/2022 10:47

@LilyDaniels with my first pregnancy I found my ewcm was always a day or so after I was due to ovulate so try not to worry. Flowers As @GeorgiaGK said you should hopefully be covered even if you are ovulating a little later!
I find it really difficult to track cm with my cycle this time round as since DD was born my cm is none existent!
