@Dogmum13 also waiting for AF here. Similarly not quite sure where I'm up to as I, weirdly, have dead-on 28-day cycles every other month, but then alternately can be anything from 24-27 days. Assuming one of my ovaries is a bit more random than the other! So AF due Wednesday at the latest but probably sooner. Feels very much like a normal month so far, so not expecting anything. Haven't tested, and will try and hold out till Wednesday to do so. As per previous post, this will have to be our last try for a while if it doesn't work out. Think I'm posting just in case this thread brings me luck! There will be disappointment but also an element of relief if it doesn't happen...

Best of luck to everyone waiting...

Aurora81 · 24/07/2022 14:06

@CDD1992 it's all about having sperm ready for the egg when it is released &/or on their way. I think you have nothing to worry about. Fertility Friend will give you crosshairs when you get three subsequent temp rises to confirm ovulation.

@LauraA31 so sorry that AF arrived! Remember a new cycle brings new hope.

@NSx I am 8dpo and so is @CinderellaFant, so we are all cycle buddiesπŸ˜€counting down the days and trying to resist POAS πŸ˜… The struggle is real and temptation is always there πŸ˜ƒ

@ThePodParent welcome to the TWW! Fx for you! 😊

@Orangesaretheonly fertility apps aren't customised to our individual cycles, unless you can input cervical mucus, opks etc, which help you figure out your most fertile days πŸ™‚Also, I use the CB digital ovulation tests, so I use FMU with them and I start using them on CD8. I sometimes have an earlier ovulation like this cycle when I ovulated CD12.

@Nypie I bbt so I use Fertility Friend and the Femometer app as I use a Femometer Bluetooth thermometer.

I booked myself a fertility reflexology appointment, so I can't wait for a bit of pampering 😊a bit of me time!! πŸ‘ˆ

Aurora81 · 24/07/2022 14:28

@Dogmum13 still no sign of AFπŸ€” this definitely has been a different cycle for you hasn't it. I would suggest using opks, as I myself hate not knowing when I ovulated and when my next cycle is due, but then again that's the way I am ☺️

@Louise34mum @Mummyme87 Thanks both I've downloaded premom and fertility friend! That is so sweet that you still meet up after all that time, none of my close friends are ready for kids so hoping that will be me.

@Orangesaretheonly πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί what a story! I hope you all remain friends

@EdinburghGirl1 cheers, I'll have a look at that one aswell.

@Summerbreeze111Aw so glad there's someone else! We can wait it out together. And ttc#1 too! When do you think you'll start dtd? So sorry to hear about the miscarriage aswell! Its so individual how we deal with losses but it does get better. I found it helpful to give him a name was way to early for it to be anything but helped me.

Thank you, I always knew it was a possibility but for some weird reason I just never thought it would happen to me, and it blindsided me! A name is a lovely idea, and you know that they will never be forgotten, no matter how early you were!

When do you usually ovulate if you know? Are you using opks?

I'm doing opks and readings are currently very low, 0.07! I think its a good 6 or 7 days away, so will try and aim for every 2 days and maybe mid to end of next week I will try for daily!

Both myself and dp had covid last month and I've heard it can affect sperm, so not feeling very positive πŸ˜”πŸ˜”

CinderellaFant · 24/07/2022 15:05

Yes @NSx I'm 8 days PO too!

@Aurora81 I'm definitely so tempted to poas but I know it'll be negative and I'll be devastated even though I know it's too early! I think I might do it on Wednesday!

Still no symptoms what so ever. No sore boobs, no sensitive smell, no sickness. Not feeling very hopeful, although I know it's normal to have no symptoms at this stage

Its my first month using it but I've found it great. Tells me when my peak is after you simply take pics of ur opk tests

@CinderellaFant I am going to wait until Thursday morning when I will be 12 dpo. I booked a private gynae appointment for this Thursday 28th, after having the chemical pregnancy, so I will need to make sure that I know if I am pregnant or not in case they scan me. I just want to make sure all is okay as I am 40.

I have absolutely no symptoms whatsoever, but I suppose it's too early for us to have πŸ€”

RugbyGirl1 · 24/07/2022 15:44

Ohh @Aurora81 I've not heard of fertility reflexology! Have you been before? What's it like? I have fertility acupuncture which seems to have some effect on my cycles, it specifically focuses on blood and balancing etc

Aurora81 · 24/07/2022 15:53

@RugbyGirl1 I am lucky that a co worker of mine gave me the reflexologists number, as she said that she helped her. She's literally a 5 minutes walk from where I am living and I never knew πŸ˜… It's reflexology that's done once i week and is tailored to what part of your cycle you are in.

www.professionalreflexology.org/reflexology-and-fertility

@RugbyGirl1 this explains it in more detail. I attended acupunctre years ago and while it's really good I am not a fan of the needles 😬

Aurora81 · 24/07/2022 17:21

What multivitamins/supplements are you all taking? Just want to make sure that I am not missing anyπŸ€”

Here is a list of what I am taking;
*COq10
*Biocare Methyl B Complex
*Magnesium Malate
*Methyl Multinutrient.
*Vit D3
*Algae oil ( Fish oil desperately repeats on me and I can tolerate this)
*Optibac Female Probiotic
*EPO before ovulation

CDD1992 · 24/07/2022 17:25

@Aurora81 slightly panicking that I'm not taking anywhere near enough compared to you! I'm just taking the pregnacare pre natal ones x

Blossomhoney · 24/07/2022 17:28

Help needed please ladies I am so confused!
for a recap I came off the pill 4th June, started trying to conceive from 21st June.
have been waiting for my period since (or not)
yesterday I assumed I was coming on as I had some brown discharge, I had a little again this morning but nothing since! Usually I would have had proper bleeding by now. So confused x

Aurora81 · 24/07/2022 17:36

@CDD1992 I am taking Algae oil, so I can get enough Omegas.

My b12 showed up as on the lower side, so that's why I am taking the B Complex.

I am 40, so taking the Coq10 to help my eggs. It's supposed to nourish them.

I also have had low Vit D in the past, so I take that as well to keep the levels at an optimum level. I had them checked recently and they were perfect.

The multi nutrient is just my multi Vitamin.

Aurora81 · 24/07/2022 17:37

@Blossomhoney did you get a positive opk during that time?

Blossomhoney · 24/07/2022 17:39

@Aurora81 i got a very faint line but never a dark one.

Blossomhoney · 24/07/2022 17:40

@Aurora81 although I only started doing ovulation tests from 14th July

Aurora81 · 24/07/2022 17:45

@Blossomhoney did you have a bleed after you came off the pill. Also have you done a pregnancy test? It could also be that your AF is on the way.

Blossomhoney · 24/07/2022 17:47

@Aurora81 I’ve not had a period since I came off the pill, yesterday I thought I was coming on, by now I would usually be bleeding properly. Maybe I will come on properly the next few days x

Blossomhoney · 24/07/2022 17:49

@Aurora81 sorry I forgot to add I done a pregnancy test on 13th July which was negative.
if it is my period coming at least I know things are going back to normal I guess, just feel confused.

CDD1992 · 24/07/2022 17:55

@Blossomhoney it can take a few months to get normal cycles back after coming off the pill. Some women have a withdrawal bleed within a few days and then start to get a semi regular cycle back after that, some women get nothing for months. They say the first bleed, no matter when it is, is your withdrawal. The second one after that I'll mark the end of your first cycle. Its of course possible you could be pregnant but I would day if you haven't had a positive ovulation test yet your body is likely still getting back to normal after the pill and AF might be on the way. X

Blossomhoney · 24/07/2022 18:20

@CDD1992 thank you, hopefully af will come properly within the next few days then.

Nypie · 24/07/2022 18:21

Apologies essay incoming

@Aurora81 I also bbt but atm not everyday so need to decide whether to commit or abandon! Reflexology sounds great I might go for acupuncture in a few months as I get quite weird when people touch my feet πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@Summerbreeze111 I usually ovulate day 16/17 and get a positive opk around 15/17 so I'm going with the sperm can survive for 5 days and not worrying too much about the highest fertile day...so I don't go insane! 🀞🀞 have you been trying different times of the day for the opk? I've been tracking my cycles for almost a year so usually wait for 3 days before predicted ovulation to do opks...and sometimes one day before period...just for something to pee on πŸ˜‚

I had no idea about the covid thing me and my partner also had it last month! The studies are quite interesting, I read one where they were talking about flu and the potential affect on sperm as well, think I might get him some fertility vitamins on amazon and keep my fingers crossed!

@Louise34mum I think this might suit me I know I'm ovulating as I get the pains and the temerature change so I just need something very simple

@CDD1992 this πŸ‘†absolutely 😊it took me a few days after coming off the pill to get a bit of a bleed but it took another 5 weeks for my normal period to return.

@Blossomhoney hopefully you will get some clarity soon and you can start tracking your cycle. BTW brown blood is old blood and confuses us all... Could it be implantation or could it be AF on it's wayπŸ€” that's why I like to bbt as if I see my temp dropping I know AF is on its way but if I see my temp rising then its a sign of pregnancy.

@Nypie πŸ˜… I must be an essay writer too πŸ˜‰ I really like to bbt as I often wondered if I had ovulated despite getting a positive opk. At least I can see on my chart when I have and it allows me to watch my luteal phase as I tend to have low progesterone. I thought the same re reflexology, as I have a strong kick reflex πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I will let you know how I get on 😜
