@mummatara this is my second time. Much worse than the first time but maybe vaccine immunity has dropped🤷‍♀️ also I thought the virus didn't like the heat? I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself 😢

@calimc83 my temps have been...odd...probably mostly lower than I'd expect post ov, looked like they were starting to dip towards the cover line, then this morning was pretty high, but it was taken at 4am (DD did a middle of the night poo and smear job 🙄) so I'm trying not to read too much into it yet. No real symptoms, but then I never do have...

Just going to see if I have patience to wait until Wednesday or Thursday now...

Hi everyone. Hope you don't mind me joining. I am TTC #2 and had a MMC at 7 weeks in March after conceiving from IVF. I have been trying since June 2021. This is my first month of clomid so back to trying half naturally! I think I'm around 2dpo.

@curliegirlie god love a dirty protest 🙈😫..oh not too long to wait then! I don't tend to get many symptoms either...or when I have it's just me confusing them with AF x

@MrsGrealish oh poor you I had it worse the first time though I was 8 months pregnant and had no jabs at that point so probably didn't help and not so bad the second though I still felt like utter crap. I hope you feel better soon 💕

CD11 here and got flashing smiley this morning. Absolutely zero chance of DTD in this heat 🥵
I am new to all the OPK testing etc. and it seems like a complete mystery. The little stick thing looked the same as yesterday’s when I ejected it 🤷‍♀️

@Longbin I recognise your name..we were part of an April thread? Feels like years have passed. I was gonna write I hope this TWW isn't too stressful and slow but who am I kidding. I really hope the clomid is successful 🙏 feels like you've been through so much already vv

Thank god it's CD1 for me. With the heat and covid there is zero chance of ANY activity. Wonder will April be a low birth month next year🤣

Hope everyone is doing ok, AF arrived for me on Saturday so now on CD4. Usually ovulate around CD13 or CD14 so got a little while to wait yet. Will prob start OPK’s in a few days time just in case it’s early 🤞🏻 anyone else around the same time as me?

@pangolin84 someone might correct me if I'm wrong but it's my understanding the CB give you a flashing smiley when it detects the oestrogen rise to prep for ovulation and the solid smiley is when it detects the LH rise so the lines might not look any different until you get the solid.

I'm CD9 and got a flashing smiley this morning so my smugness at it not being a short cycle and having DTD in this weather was short lived 😂

@MrsGrealish it was absolute hell it seems to wipe me out completely even the jabs don't agree with me 🤦🏼‍♀️ I made the most of the whinging so your allowed 😉

Jeez, this heat ladies 🥵 sadly for us, I O'd last night and DH categorically said it's too hot for dtd so I'm having to rely on attempts before this. He's right, it's too hot but I can't feel really defeated as I really wanted that 1 extra aloe or. Pfffft.

@MrsGrealish that's really bad luck! Hope you're not feeling too shoddy from covid. We have something too but I don't dare test 🫠

@pangolin84 oh yay, CB opks? So basically use them every morning and once you get your flashy that basically means it's 'high fertility time'. My OPKs do not align with CB in that CB registers my peak (static face) about a day before OPKs do. If you're doubling up like I do, when you notice your OPKs getting darker then start testing with CB in the evening too. I always get my static in the evening. Don't look at those 2 lines, they aren't like opks and don't really tell you a great deal.

@curliegirlie your temps look good!! Do you think you can hold out testing again until AF is due?

I think yesterday's high temp was a fluke - today back down to 36.56 and I did an OPK (because that's all I currently have) and it's 0.23 so not suspiciously high or anything, so I am very much expecting AF's visit tomorrow or Thursday....

I'm supposed to be going out for the day for drinks with DH on Thurs and the girls on Fri. AF is due tomorrow but I've been waking up at 4 the last few night feels nauseous. Would you girls wait for AF to appear or be getting a test ready for tomorrow?

@curliegirlie is a positive opk even a thing is pregnant?! If so, that would save us all a lot of money 😂 hoping AF stays away - my temps are all over the place with this heat, I've almost given up with it now...

@HoneyPea personally I wouldn't, but that's mainly as I try and avoid starting at bfns! At least if AF hasn't shown, my chances of this happening are greatly reduced 😂

@bunnykins123 sorry you didn’t manage another dtd. But attempts beforehand prob have a better chance anyway!

it’s hot here guys. But luckily not too hot. But I am not inland so that makes a difference. Nice cool breeze lol.

@curliegirlie so hard to know with the temps isn’t it. I haven’t been temping this cycle. Well I did 2/3 days before ov and after to confirm it. Then I stop as feel it can get a bit obsessive. And once I get close to AF I just start checking in the morning so I catch when it goes low and drop. As I like knowing ahh okay AF will turn up today then. Rather than being caught out.

11dpo..temperature still up high atm but that’s normal for me. Next 2/3 days will tell all. AF due Friday and would expect temp drop Friday morning if I haven’t caught..

@bunnykins123 I think opks can be positive when your pregnant. But I don’t think it’s like a guaranteed thing! Guess it depends on individual. It can send them a bit haywire

Ahh girls I'm happy THE heaviest AF. Maybe that bit of tissue is finally gone🙏 I've just soaked through a tampax and a pad and my bedsheet 🙈CD2

@HoneyPea unfortunately I have zero patience so I would be testing before AF if it was me 🙈

To be honest I think OPKs don't necessarily mean a huge amount just before AF as they can also pick up on the increased progesterone at that time of the month anyway. BUT a raging positive OPK around the time/after AF is due can potentially indicate pregnancy. See below my various tests (from 2014 😱) - I think I took the photo around 18 or 19DPO...

@curliegirlie they defo can pick up pregnancy but usually after the hcg test. For me anyway. Mine was moderately high when I tested faintly positive

@mummatara god I hope so. It really must be. Maybe the brown spotting I had randomly last cycle will stop

CD17, no ewcm at all, and crap opks! Last month had my positive OPK on CD18, and tests the day before were neg, so I know that could still happen. But I was still having ewcm whereas now I’m dry as a bone 🤦‍♀️ Don’t feel very confident at all. How can I have a great cycle with a nice ‘normal’ ovulation window and then it go crap again the next month? Urgh.

@LuckyMoonstone I would be surprised if anyone can ovulate in this heat. It's so hard to even sleep, do you always ovulate around CD18?
I'm on day 3 of covid so I'll not be leaving the house 😅
