Sorry @Charl881

weve been so busy and tired, just bad timing for both of us! Hopefully tonight we can get to it.

@vitahelp it does look like you’ve maybe already ovulated due to temp rise. But you can’t alwyas be sure until three days of raise temps so I would dtd incase to cover bases.

@Charl881 sorry about AF coming. Luteal phrase does usually stay consistent but can change by odd days.
funnily enough I think shorter luteal phases sometimes mean lower progesterone that cycle. So hormones but skew whiff likely. That or the egg that ovuskted wasn’t great quality and so it doesn’t create a high quality corpus cyst which is what release the progesterone and keeps your lining in place. So if it’s lower quality. Breaks down early.
So most likely just not the right cycle anyway if that’s of any help. Or that’s how I try look at it. Want a healthy egg and therefore healthy baby. 🀞🏼😘

@MountainMummy95 deffo could be way too early I think. Still very much in with every chance yet.

@MrsGrealish it’s helps when the tests nearly are negative I think. Feels like you can then actually try move on and get back to normal.

MrsGrealish · 19/06/2022 17:46

@Indianna2006 it's so close..just not fully negative yet. That last wee bit of hormone is stubborn! Darent do an FRER yet will wait a week xx

Good luck this cycle lovely 😘

vitahelp · 19/06/2022 19:10

@Indianna2006 Thanks for the second opinion, we’ll do it tonight just to be sure. Starting to feel like a chore now and will get in the way of love island haha!!

ExPatHereForAChat · 19/06/2022 20:17

@vitahelp I totally hear you about the DTD getting in the way of things. Haha!

Last night I just wanted to catch up on some TV but DH wanted an early night so I had to go up too as it was day 1 of my fertile window. Then I had to stay lying down for ages afterwards because I get paranoid if I don't. Boring AF!

WDWY · 19/06/2022 21:49

@ExPatHereForAChat My partner does a great impression of me wiggling from a lying down position to tilting my pelvis upwards with my legs against the wall after DTD. I insist on staying put for at least 20 minutes due to paranoia too. The things we do! I'm CD14 today and the Clearblue Digital isn't showing that I'm in peak fertility yet (but I do have a 32 day cycle)... I feel a bit anxious but still trying to DTD every other day. Does anyone else have longer cycles?

ExPatHereForAChat · 19/06/2022 22:12

I used to have 28-32 day cycles before DS.

I struggled with a short cycle and short LP after getting my periods back after having DS and nursing for a long time.

I've finally got a 28 day cycle (it had been 21) so I'm happy with that.

The worst thing about long cycles is the extra long wait!

Could someone on here make use of a free unopened box of 20 clear blue advanced digital ovulation tests rrp Β£39.99? They’re BBE Oct 2023. I have no further use for them - having a cupboard clearout in the hope of moving house very shortly and seems a shame to bin them. Willing to post for free to first person to message me their address. I resorted to ivf in the end and got very lucky - 22w currently 🀞

@WDWY I had static smiley day 16 this month so assume ovulation on day 17 hopefully yours will come soon

vitahelp · 20/06/2022 10:33

Had another temp rise this morning so quite certain I’m 2dpo. No symptoms yet but sure I’ll imagine some at some stage! Feeling quite calm so far but know I’ll start obsessing when it gets to potential implantation stage!

WDWY · 20/06/2022 12:12

@tulipsunday this was so reassuring to hear! I just got the flashing smiley face today (CD15). How many days do you tend to get the flashing face before the static face? Not a brand pusher, but I am loving the digital reader for its clarity.

Mummyme87 · 20/06/2022 12:35

I’m tempted to go back to clear blue digital. Just so expensive on top of vitamins and tests etc

WDWY · 20/06/2022 12:50

@Mummyme87 Agree! I made the mistake of buying the kit thinking the refills would be cheap... not the case! I didn't realise how pricey it would be but I didn't get on with monitoring CM, and I envy those who get definitive CM differences in the month. Would appreciate anyone's experience of using the Clearblue Digital and knowing how many smily face flashy days and static days people tend to show up in their cycle!

I just get the static smiley and it does seem to show - matched my cm last month (although my cm also varies and I’m not great at checking). Saying all that I didn’t get pregnant did I. πŸ˜‚ we’ve been really busy and then away so haven’t tracked anything this month apart from using my apps.

DTD yesterday and I ovulate tomorrow or Wednesday so here’s hoping. I’ll try and do it again tonight.

I tend to use them for a few months and only test for the days around ov

OP posts:
ExPatHereForAChat · 20/06/2022 12:55

I used the clearblue for quite a few months and would either get 1 or 2 flashies before a static (once I went from nothing to static!).

I'd use cheapies at the same time and, to be fair, my ov day has been day 13 or 14 most months recently so it's fairly predictable.

My monitor broke last month so I'm sticking to cheapies now to save money.

tulipsunday · 20/06/2022 13:16

@WDWY I got two flashing before static this time. When TTC first child I remember I sometimes got a few more before the static. I did start a bit later in the month with using them this time which may mean why less.

Mummyme87 · 20/06/2022 13:22

I use Cheap OPK, easy at home and the premom app. My cm isn’t reliable enough to go without and my cycle varies
