@Tinkerbell098 … it was good thanks. Need to ring up tomorrow to book my AMH bloods. Hubby waiting for his appt letter for a more detailed SA and I need to book my HyCosy when my period comes so I’m feeling good - finally like we’re getting somewhere. Although, I’m worried now that if hubby’s SA comes back fine (because he’s been taking all those supplements for 3 months now) then we won’t get to go for IVF straight away … might have to wait until we’ve been trying for 2 years 😒 I think we have decided to go for IVF if we can, as there will be less chance of another miscarriage xx

Koalie · 06/10/2022 14:08

@FlyOnTheWall89 .. so glad your scan went well! 😊 xx

Tinkerbell098 · 06/10/2022 14:14

@FlyOnTheWall89 that's great everything's well. Must have been nerve wracking when they check for so many things! I did test this week, but I'm being very cautious as the trigger shot I took has been coming up on the tests. I am getting faint lines still, unsure if it's still the trigger/chemical. So a little bit anxious, especially as I have zero symptoms. I think the clinic was going to do a blood test to confirm next week, so hopefully that will shed some light.

@Koalie That's great things are moving for you. Hopefully they could at least apply for your funding in the meantime until you reach the two years. That's what happened in my case, the IVF referral was put through in March. We reached 2 years around July, so by the time I started treatment, it was over 2 years.

Koalie · 06/10/2022 14:21

@Tinkerbell098 ah OK that’s good to know, thank you. At least we can keep everything moving from now on and still keep trying naturally in the hope we get a sticky baby ✨

That’s confusing about your faint tests. Did the hospital say the trigger will definitely have stopped showing up on tests by tomorrow though, is that why they suggested waiting to test until then? X

NatW2021 · 06/10/2022 14:32

@Tinkerbell098 will be thinking of you 💗

I have just had my appointment with the dr he was really lovely. He has agreed to prescribe Letrozole so i will start next cycle. He was telling me how at my age its really only a 10% chance each month so whilst its shit its reassuring that that could be a reason. Also he said light periods/cervical mucas/titled cervix are not a cause of infertility so that was reassuring.

Also last night i met a few ladies for a coffee who are on a weight loss programme for ivf from the hospital. It was so lovely to meet people in person who are going through this. Obviously so lovely to have you ladies but nothing beats a real gab over a coffee.

@FlyOnTheWall89 glad all is well 💗

Hope everyone else is well xx

Carla2601 · 06/10/2022 17:52

@FlyOnTheWall89 that’s wonderful news I’m thrilled for you!

@Tinkerbell098 all the luck to you tomorrow

BritInNZ · 07/10/2022 03:08

@NatW2021 good luck with the letrozole. I didn't have high hopes either but here I am 😊 and 10% is better than nothing right?!

Hope everyone else is doing well and I have everything crossed for you @Tinkerbell098 💗

I'm just over 19 weeks pregnant and other than being exhausted ALL the time, I'm doing well. It's crazy how quickly time goes, can't believe I set up this OG thread when I had been TTC for 9 months and now here I am - 17 months TTC and now 4.5 months pregnant. It feels weird not speaking to you all every day like before, but please know I am still checking in regularly and rooting for you all! ❤️

Thanks everyone. I got another faint positive today. FRER looks like an obvious line, but the test they gave was vvv faint. I’ve rung up and told them this so they’ve booked me in for a blood test on Thursday next week. I just have to hope I won’t start bleeding before then.

Tinkerbell098 · 07/10/2022 08:21

@BritInNZ so glad to hear everything’s well with you. How was your trip to UK and Greece? Did you say you had a wedding too?

Carla2601 · 07/10/2022 08:57

FRER is the way to go IMO - this is so so so so so exciting I’m so happy for you!!! How are you feeling?

Carla2601 · 07/10/2022 08:58

@Tinkerbell098 if it helps at all my cheapies were so faint even like weeks in but the FRER was dark and clear so it sounds similar hopefully x

Tinkerbell098 · 07/10/2022 09:18

@Carla2601 to be honest, I’m really anxious. The FRERs are clear, but still thin and not too dark, but not faint either. I’d have expected a thicker darker line by now. Also the fact that I have zero symptoms makes me feel like it’s a chemical. So I’m just very cautious at the moment.

Tinkerbell098 · 07/10/2022 09:19

@Carla2601 how many days post transfer did they ask you to test? It’s day 9 for me which seems earlier than what most clinics advise?

Koalie · 07/10/2022 09:29

@Tinkerbell098 … this is very exciting ! FRER are def the ones to go by. Also, try not to read into not having symptoms … when I was pregnant my symptoms didn’t start until I was 6 weeks! Maybe do another FRER in a couple of days and see if there’s any progression. Thursday next week seems a long time for them to make you wait for bloods … bit mean 😒 x

Koalie · 07/10/2022 09:34

@BritInNZ lovely to hear from you and glad things are going well ☺️ Don’t blame you for not being on here 24/7 you’ve done your fair share ! 😆 Xx

Carla2601 · 07/10/2022 09:49

@Tinkerbell098 idk I tested early in the end because of the OHSS but that obviously makes you produce a tonne of hcg. Happy to send any pics of mine if they would help you at all. I’ve got piles of them. Just looking at my frer now and it was a lot thinner than the control line and lighter too but a clear positive I’d say. I did that on the Sunday after transfer on the Monday. Can they get you in for bloods any sooner to put your mind at rest? It is still early and plenty of people have no symptoms, progesterone aside I only had strong sense of smell and that only happened on a couple of occasions certainly wasn’t that I could smell everything by any means.

thinking of you it’s such a stressful time x

Tinkerbell098 · 07/10/2022 10:50

@Koalie @Carla2601 thanks both. They’ve just said to come on Thursday for bloods, I might ask if I can get it sooner.

@Carla2601 yes please if you’ve got any pictures from around 9 days post transfer I could compare with what I’m seeing. The lines are definitely there, just don’t seem to have progressed much/ as dark as I’d expect. It’s hard to get excited when you here about all these chemicals and early miscarriages. Just being a little bit realistic and very cautious.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 07/10/2022 15:27

So tricky @Tinkerbell098 - keeping everything crossed. As everyone says, the FRER are amazing but I understand it's not easy when you've had a trigger shot. Definitely don't worry about symptoms. Totally fine to have none. My friend at work didn't know she was pregnant until 7 weeks and tbh, didn't even have symptoms for maybe another week to 2. X

Tinkerbell098 · 07/10/2022 20:46

@FlyOnTheWall89 thanks so much. I think I will know more next week so nothing more I can do now. I’m going away for a few days so hoping it’ll take my mind off things for a bit. At least something to look forward to X

BakinABaby · 07/10/2022 23:30

@Tinkerbell098 how exciting yet nerve wracking. At least you have a little getaway, these are always nice. Hoping you get proper lines next week.

Carla2601 · 08/10/2022 06:57

@Tinkerbell098 these are a couple of mine. I had OHSS so was overproducing HCG so I don’t think there’s any reason to compare but just wanted to show that the line on FRER is still a lot thinner as you described if it helps.

enjoy your few days away, I hope you get lovely weather and I have everything crossed that you’ll get good news from your bloods next week x

One year+ TTC part 3
BritInNZ · 08/10/2022 07:09

@Tinkerbell098 I am cautiously excited for you! As others said, don't read into symptoms at all. The month I was actually pregnant my only symptom was an insatiable thirst which I put down to the letrozole! Fingers crossed for you!

Our trip to the UK was lovely thanks, feels like a distant memory already! I arrived 9 weeks pregnant and left 12 weeks pregnant and now I'm half way through 😱 yes had my dads wedding and one of my best friends which were lovely, and so was Greece! I did miss having a few drinks though, and I was still feeling horrifically tired all the time 🤣 but it was SO lovely having the opportunity to tell everyone in person, rather than a WhatsApp or FaceTime which would have been the case any other time. So although it was rubbish at the time, it felt like it was meant to be somewhat?!

Tinkerbell098 · 08/10/2022 09:59

@Carla2601 thanks so much for that. My easy@home is no where as dark as yours. But as you said the OHSS probably caused a massive surge in HCG so I shouldn’t compare. The thickness of the FRER is similar to mine but yours is much pinker. Thank you. It would be nice to be away to take my mind off things.

@BritInNZ ah great you had a good time and got to break the news to everyone in person. Yes it was probably meant to be that way.

@BakinABaby thanks lovely ❤️

Koalie · 11/10/2022 08:09

Morning ladies !
@Tinkerbell098 have you done any more tests? Any news? ☺️

I’m scared. I have a vvvfl on a cheapy test (sensitivity 10 miu) this morning, 13dpo but I feel like it should be darker by now and this is what happened with my ectopic! (The lines were just always super faint )🥺 With my MMC (where baby was in the right place) I had a nice dark line on FRER (6miu) at 11dpo ! Gunna ring the EPAU when they open and book in for bloods but I’m just feeling so sad this morning because I just have a bad feeling about this 😔

Tinkerbell098 · 11/10/2022 10:11

@Koalie no real update from me. Still getting lines, not too strong. I’ll try a CB digital possibly tomorrow. I’m still just waiting for my blood test on Thursday. Hope it’s not another ectopic for you. Maybe try a FRER? The 10 miu cheapies have always given me faint lines, however FRERs are showing clear positives.
