@BritInNZ omg omg omg!! I had a really good feeling when i seen your message yesterday! That looks like a a BFP to me!!! Congratulations!! Cant believe we have had two BFPs in space of a few days!!! I am soooo pleased for you bet you are in utter shock!! 🥰🥰🥰

Carla2601 · 20/06/2022 07:44

@BritInNZ woohoo!! The letrozole worked!!!!! That’s amazing news congrats. Idt anyone has anything apart from sore boobs really at this stage so suspect that’s a good thing. Really pleased for you 😊😊

BritInNZ · 20/06/2022 07:54

@NatW2021 @Carla2601 thanks so much ladies 💗💗 My husband and I are in total disbelief. I have constant cramps so I keep going to the toilet to check if AF has arrived... I am bloody petrified. I have HCG blood test on Monday. I think after that things will feel more real.

Carla2601 · 20/06/2022 08:11

@BritInNZ for me that didn’t get better till my 12 week scan…..sorry 😂. Now I’d finally say I’m not looking for bloody every time I wipe. Enjoy these moments!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 20/06/2022 08:22

OMG OMG OMH OMG @BritInNZ when you didn't message yesterday I thought it could be. I am totally over the moon for you and now you can share in my anxiety too 🤣 of something going wrong. It doesn't feel real does it!!!!!!! Now it could be twins hahahaha. I wonder if you were just not ovulating regularly?! Or this gave you like a super ovulation? I am so so thrilled for you 💕💕💕💕. What a few days we are having xxxxxxx

Koalie · 20/06/2022 08:36

@BritInNZ YAYYY !! This is amazing news !! Bizarre that it took letrozole to work when you thought you were ovulating regularly anyway 😱 bet you’re so glad you tried it ! Congratulations xxx

@Indianna2006 Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my situ .. I did a pregnancy test this morning and it’s still positive but slightly more faint than Friday’s 🥺 just at the hospital now waiting for bloods x

Indianna2006 · 20/06/2022 08:54

@BritInNZ omg!! We’re on fire in here. 😍Congratulations lovely. Yes deffo it must of like made you super ovulate. Or you were not always ovulating. But so good that it done the trick!!!

@Koalie oh bless you hun. I hope they find an answer for you. Unknown is horrible.

BritInNZ · 20/06/2022 08:56

@FlyOnTheWall89 omg yes!!! It doesn't feel real at all does it?! Are you getting any cramps at all? I'm getting them in waves so the googling has started already 😂 we were saying how we didn't know how to react?! When you've had such a hard time getting pregnant, you're so wary and neither us will believe it's real until I've had HCG/first scan possibly. We're still saying 'we might be pregnant' 😂 omg don't start on the twins - DH is like it would be great to get both out the way at once and I'm very much hoping it's a singular baby in there! I have no idea what it did to be honest. The only thing I did differently was literally ZERO caffeine and we timed using the fertility lube with ovulation (as we knew exactly when it was happening this month!). So happy for us both - let's share in the anxiety 🤣💗 I'm doing another test in the morning because we're both convinced it's a dud test haha!

@Koalie yes! So glad we gave it a shot! Definitely worth a try for those with unexplained infertility. Sorry to hear about your current situation, I hope you get some answers soon ❤️

@BritInNZ haha no it really doesn't. No cramps but definitely a funny feeling in my tummy with the odd pain / something but quite indescribable. I actually secretly filmed me telling my OH. It's the cutest video. I'll treasure it forever. So I guess you tested at a similar DPO to me... about 15DPO ish? Woooo 💕.

Hope today isn't too gruelling @Koalie. Thinking of you.

BritInNZ · 20/06/2022 09:20

@FlyOnTheWall89 I think it's actually 13DPO as I'm sure I ovulated the Tuesday I had my ultrasound scan, but I don't actually know. Either 13 or 12 I think. I usually have AF about 11DPO, hence being late and testing but not being 15DPO. Hahaha I wish I had filmed my DH, it would have made a great comedy sketch. He didn't believe me and made me get the box so he could check how accurate it was 😂 then demanded I pee on another stick like I can just pee on demand hahaha.

Just happened to check mumsnet and see your news @BritInNZ congratulations, absolutely elated for you! I hope you enjoy these moments as best you can, although I totally get the worry and disbelief ❤️ I’m now 9 weeks and I didn’t get symptoms start until around 5.5 weeks. I was quite smug telling the very few people who knew how great I felt and then started throwing up like a dog 4-6 times a day 😂

Hoping43 · 20/06/2022 10:19

OMG @BritInNZ thats amazing news!! I literally said to my DH yesterday that if you get pregnant on letrozole I’m going to get it 😂😂

BritInNZ · 20/06/2022 14:59

@L0ts hahaha praying I don't get the sickness! The cramps are bad enough already, hope they don't last long. Haven't been able to sleep from the adrenaline of it all, definitely one of the best moments of my life (despite the disbelief and worry!). Hope your sickness eases up soon! How are you feeling now? Has it all settled in and you've come to terms with it?

@Hoping43 hahaha no doubt you'll be on the phone to your consultant now! If I was in the UK this wouldn't have even been an option for me, so I'm so glad they give this a try over here! Who knows if it actually helped, or if it would have happened anyway. But after 17 long months I will take it!

OP posts:
L0ts · 20/06/2022 15:26

@BritInNZ I had quite intense cramps with my first, all very normal as everything stretches and grows to accommodate a little baby ☺️ I’ve had none this time around, found myself worrying about that tbh, can you ever actually win? 😂 I am finally coming to terms with it yeah, after testing every day for a good two weeks 🥴 I did also have a fair few sleepless nights after I found out, I went full insomniac and I was exhausted, they did ease up after about a week or so. The sickness is a little better thank you, seems to have gone from all day sickness to just feeling/being sick after 5pmish. I have an early
scan on Friday and I’m equally as excited as I am anxious!

Tinkerbell098 · 20/06/2022 19:54

@BritInNZ OMG such amazing news!! I’m so so pleased for you. Massive congratulations!! I think this thread is turning into a very positive one X

FlyOnTheWall89 · 21/06/2022 02:53

Has it sunk in yet @BritInNZ ? This is me at 3am wide awake - hoping this insomnia settles soon. I'm on the verge of going to eat some cereal.

BritInNZ · 21/06/2022 03:33

@FlyOnTheWall89 absolutely not 😂 I had about 3 hours sleep last night but don't feel tired today... I thought you were meant to be tired during early pregnancy?! Had confirmation from the clinic that I don't need to do anything until after my blood test, so I feel like I'm in no man's land for the next 6 days 😂

OP posts:
Koalie · 21/06/2022 06:48

@BritInNZ Dont jinx it! Pregnancy fatigue is like nothing I’ve ever experienced … it’s another level of tired 😆

@FlyOnTheWall89 insomnia and night time hunger is also the worst.. I’m such a good sleeper normally and just found myself awake so much during the night when I was pregnant.

My hcg levels dropped from 45 to 35 yesterday ☹️ Going back on Wednesday for more bloods. Praying that my body does it’s own thing and miscarried naturally this time 🤞🏼Just thought I’d update you all x

BritInNZ · 21/06/2022 09:47

@Koalie so sorry to hear that, that's really tough. Hope you're doing okay 💗

OP posts:
Koalie · 21/06/2022 09:49

@BritInNZ thank you. 🤍 it’s so shit. But gotta just keep going 😊

Tinkerbell098 · 21/06/2022 11:05

@Koalie oh I'm sorry, it's the worst.. Hope you are keeping OK.

My nurse appointment that was scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled and postponed for another 3 weeks. They said that the consent forms have changed so I can't go ahead with the forms that I've already got so have to wait for the new ones to be released. This means the treatment will be delayed for another month. Just feel like it's one delay after the other. It's been 10 months now since the first referral to the clinic and no definite start date as of yet.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 21/06/2022 11:30

That is so so annoying @Tinkerbell098 . Can't they just email you the forms and you can get them done and send them back ?

@Koalie sorry you're going through this. Is this your second baby you're trying for? It's strange because then 70% of the time I don't feel pregnant. picture googling no/very few pregnancy symptoms mumsnet and reading all those threads. One worry turns to another with having a baby.

Koalie · 21/06/2022 11:34

@Tinkerbell098 how frustrating !! Like @FlyOnTheWall89 said … can’t they just email them to you?

@FlyOnTheWall89 .. this is our first baby we’re trying for but I got to 10 weeks with my first pregnancy last year before we realised I’d had a MMC so I had all the symptoms .. it wasn’t fun. I must say, they didn’t start until 6 weeks so you’re not out of the woods yet 😉

FlyOnTheWall89 · 21/06/2022 11:47

@Koalie oh gosh poor you, that is so frustrating and sad to have had a MC and now this.

I know I know, I actually hate hate hate testing so I'm a bit scared to do any other tests to 'check' on things. I liked the first very strong one. Don't want to see any others 🤣.

Tinkerbell098 · 21/06/2022 11:55

@FlyOnTheWall89 @Koalie they said the new forms are only released beginning of July so have to wait for that anyway. They gave me an appointment for 12th July, but I'm going to ring them for cancellations. It's just so frustrating, it's as if they come up with new excuses each time to delay appointments.
