Shameless request for a handhold from me. I’ve made an appointment in 2 weeks time for fertility assessment at the CARE clinic near me. Scan and bloods for me and SA for DP, with Dr review session a few days later. I’ve gone private as my GP surgery is overwhelmed at the mo and I’ve had a few appointments cancel now, along with routine blood tests cancelled twice. I get worked up for the appointment only to get a text given the day before/day of cancelling it. It’s upsetting and I’m just wasting time.

Along with a handhold, can I be greedy and ask for any advice, hints or tips at this stage? Anything I should know ahead of the appointment? Thanks ladies xx

@YellowLoafers hi 👋🏻 I've not got much advice apart from make sure they explain all the test results to you rather than just say 'it's all fine' as they often do that and miss things! Xx

@YellowLoafers I would be asking their recommendations for you with your results, their success rate for people with similar results, time frame for treatment and cost. Good luck 🤞
I got my second HCG bloods and they have doubled to 8,748. Looking good so far xxx

@YellowLoafers good luck!! I hope it's helpful. Maybe ask about thyroid antibody blood tests in case they don't do them as standard? Otherwise I think good advice from others already about asking for full explanations of results and comparisons against your age group?

3 of my eggs fertilised and have made it to perfect day 2 growth so far !! 🥳🥳
soooo happy but so so nervous at the same time!
Dr has planned transfer for 29th November - just got to hope and pray we have something to transfer 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you all so much, I can’t tell you how much this group helps me. You’re all brilliant 🥰 I’ll go armed with all your advice. I feel less daunted now after making the appointment, the ladies I spoke to at the clinic were so friendly and kind.

@YellowLoafers this group has definitely kept me sane! I am feeling tired at night, head a bit fuzzy and boobs feeling a bit sensitive but mainly at night. But apart from that, feeling good xx

@Kelb79 any news on eggs today? Hope they are all perfect day 3ers . Are they going to let them develop to 5 days? Then freeze for FET or are you getting PGS testing? Just interested in the OE process. Sending lots of luck your way anyway xxxx

@October1979 they’ve all made it to perfect day 3s!!!! 🥳🥳🥳
we get radio silence until day 5 now then they biopsy any that make it and freeze them. The biopsies get sent for PGT-A. Our one in the freezer from last time has been biopsied already 👍🏼👍🏼
I feel sick with all the waiting but I’d better get used to it!! 2 days until the first hurdle, then 3 weeks for PGT-A test results. But my Dr has written up the transfer plan! It’s starting to feel just that little bit more real 🫣🫣🫣

cd 2 Carnt wait for this month to be over going to give it one last try cause I don’t think my old eggs are any good as well as been ttc a successful pregnancy for 18yrs and 3 baby angels haven’t got pregnant since my last loss about 10 years I am 51 please no judgment I’m regular with my af I ovulate on time everything seems okay I just Carnt get pregnant but have had multiple CP any way I’m going to try conceive plus and opks this last time and after that I’m done 18 years is a long time ttc and all the sadness and disappointment every month it’s to stressful I’m just going to go in to menopause gracefully

Well I decided to do a home test to check levels of FSH
theses are test strips and you do them on day 3 of your cycle and the 7 days after omg it was positive I mean I am 51 and do expect it to be high but a few months back I had a menopause test at the doctor’s and I wasn’t menopausal and now this test although is positive has me worried a bit I’m still regular with my periods I ovulate still but I suppose it dose mean my eggs are dimmished anyone had high FSH and still got pregnant X

@TraceyTarotReader high FSH just means you'd struggle to produce multiple eggs with ivf. I got pregnant twice (albeit miscarried twice) with high FSH. If you are still ovulating regularly there is still an outside chance of conception. I've not had a sniff of a positive test since my last miscarriage two years ago so I know how demoralising it is.

Thank you for your response @SomnolentSekhmet firstly so sorry for your losses . And you made me feel better even though this was not a blood test to confirm the FSH level it still surprised me a bit I did one last month and it was negative but I’ve also looked it up and it says FSH can fluctuate from month to month so I’m going to do another one in 7 days and then next month .

i do ovulate regularly every month confirmed with opks and bbt just makes ya wonder what your body dose .

@TraceyTarotReader sending you so much love ❤️❤️ This journey is truly awful and to be on it so long with so many heartbreaks is enough to break anyone! The very very best of luck for this month but if it doesn’t work out, enjoy taking a big deep breath and stepping back from it. I doubt you’ll be able to get it completely from your mind, it’s impossible right?! 😩 but to step back from trying so hard will feel amazing!! Miracles can still happen - I’ve seen sooo many on these forums - so never give up hope, just take the pressure off yourself ❤️❤️❤️

we managed to get 2 more embryos from this last round! And a better grade too - 5BBs! So that’s 3 that have been sent for testing and we’re now in the 3 week wait 😳 to find out if any are viable 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
My doctor has given me my meds and the plan for the transfer cycle working towards transfer on 29th November 😳 eeek!! Praying that we can at least give it a go!!!
