CD1 here, starting a new thread for those who are hoping to get a BFP in May for a January/February baby 🥰

This is my cycle 3 trying for #2. I've got an 18mo old son.

Hey everyone, hope everyone is ok. I have decided not to TTC this cycle and give my body a break after the Mc (I'm going to try to stick to this as with ovulation approaching I'm worried I'll cave and change my mind 😅 but I do feel I need a little break from it all). You're all so lovely tho so I'll lurk around a bit and see some of you next month I'm sure ❤️

@Hopeful2654 the majority of women ovulate 24 hours after the LH peak, so I would count Sunday as your ovulation day. Some women ovulate up to 72 hours later though. I seem to ovulate 48 hours later. So good idea to DTD the day after the peak too, if you have the energy!

@Cherrymarket I take Wild Nutrition food grown fertility and it's only a v small dose of iron, only 4mg. You could also take a b vitamin complex rather than a prenatal plus a couple other things, this should include folate / folic acid but won't have iron...
Also I find vitamin d, omega 3 good & folate is better than folic acid! X

Cherrymarket · 26/04/2022 10:37

@Skylark1990 thank you for this! Will have a look into that brand.

hope this month allows healing for you

@Harriet669 that is very short, you must feel like you never get a break from it. You’ve probably said but is your GP being any help with this?

Catred4 · 26/04/2022 11:38

@Harriet669 sorry to hear that lovely. Do you know when you ovulated? Would be interesting to hear the lengths before / after ovulation. You can get things to extend your luteal phase after ovulation which should help hopefully x

@Mollyschambers13 welcome!

@Catred4 omg that's so funny. Less so for you 🙈🙈

@Peonies94 welcome! Hope your cycles stay shorter 🤞

@Sassy144 welcome! Sorry about your mc, that's so tough ❤

@Skylark1990 enjoy your break from it all. Might give you a little refresh for next time

kizzy97 · 26/04/2022 12:51

@Purple29 hi! I remember you and your method 😂 from a few cycles ago. I had a break last cycle from MN and TTC. My cycles since ectopic are also all over the place, we’re 26days and now 24-28days. My Ov date jumps around between CD 11-15, LP is 12days, BBT has been really helpful to pinpoint things.

Harriet669 · 26/04/2022 14:42

@Mollyschambers13 it's been like this since December, longest I've had is 20 day cycle, I've always been irregular but used to have longer cycles too

@Cherrymarket yeah they sent me for a scan and found a cyst on one of my ovaries, they said it may be due to this, having to wait for a scan in a few weeks to see it it shrinks or grown before the do anything about it, scan is at the end of may which feels like ages away!

@Catred4 yes I've been looking at this recently and going to try vitamin C and B12 I think! Thanks you 😊

@Skylark1990 I hope a break services you well and you take time for yourself!

Good afternoon, hoping the conception board wagon again after a month off.

I’m 35, and have 2 DS, 7 and 4, and also had a ruptured ectopic almost two years ago from an unplanned pregnancy which resulted in losing my right tube.
I am now on cycle 7, although last cycle wasn’t trying as such as was trying to avoid an end of December baby.
I’m on CD2, my cycles are a bit all over, my Ov date changes every cycle almost, anywhere between CD11-15, averaging CD13. My LP is only 12 days aswell so cycle length was 24days this month but 28days the month before. Had a mirena coil for a year, came out in October, not sure if that’s caused the cycle messing around? Always used to be 26days on the nose.

trying to lose weight as BMi is around 36 at the moment 😬😬😬 so bloody hard!!!

You sound exactly like me!

I'm 32 and have a DD 6 and DS 3 (nearly 4) and I'm also overweight :(

Never thought I'd want a third until few months back and now it's the only thing on my mind, but the guilt I feel about my two children whom I'm so lucky to have is so overwhelming. What if something happens to me, what if its a big mistake, why am I feeling like this when I'm so grateful. Im too overweight for another child I should focus on getting healthy for the two I've got. These thoughts swirl round my head all day everyday.
But for some reason, I just imagine a family of 5, I have names for the baby whether it be a boy or girl. I'm jealous of those with 3 kids.
I wish I was just done and these thoughts would go away. I know the sensible thing is to not do this, but partner is happy either way and sometimes more swaying towards another.
I'm so sorry to ramble to you like this, did you have these thoughts?? What made you decide to just go for it?
we're not using protection but "pulling out" I'm so sorry for tmi LOL.

CoffeePlease89 · 26/04/2022 18:24

Sorry I must add, the reason I'm posting in here is because I had a day of being so sure we were going to go for it. I posted in here a while back saying I am due to ovulate this Friday/Saturday... but now once again I'm holding back due to the worries above and know I'll bottle it when partner asks what he's doing if we dtd 😂
Mixed emotions so much here, so sorry everyone I will leave the thread if I'm still not sure soon!!!

LemonZestDribbles · 26/04/2022 18:30

@CoffeePlease89 could you sit down and tell all this to partner? I think if you're imagining a family of 5 then you'd regret not going for it. You can do the health kick after. That's my plan - Skinny before I'm 40. Your partner might br able to reassure you and help calm your anxiety ❤

TeddyBeans · 26/04/2022 20:01

Evening all, hope you're all doing well ✨

@CoffeePlease89 I agree with Lemon, you need to sit down and have a chat with DP. He can reassure you about all the things you're worrying about. He's obviously on board if he's willing to try after a 1 day decision

I'm pretty convinced I'm out this month. Have ordered a BBT thermometer for next cycle but won't open it until after AF turns up just in case she doesn't show

Mummyme87 · 26/04/2022 20:28

@CoffeePlease89 thats so hard when you’re not sure. I think if you really keep
imaging a family of 5 going for it would be the right thing. Personally I’ve always wanted a few kids, I had a VBAC with my second as knew I wanted more than 2, however i take each birth as it comes as I have massive babies and bleed a lot. I 100% know I’m not done and would be devastated not to have another

allthingssparkly · 26/04/2022 21:00

How come you think your out this cycle @TeddyBeans? x

CoffeePlease89 · 26/04/2022 21:07

@LemonZestDribbles @TeddyBeans
Thank you both for your replies. I have had these discussions with my partner and he has put up with years of my Generalised Anxiety Disorder so I always think of the worst possible outcome! He has said I am overthinking things and he thinks we would manage, he would quite like another but at the same time he would understand if I didn't want to and wants me to do what makes me happy as he's perfectly fine with 2. Really annoying when he's so laid back and it's down to me 😂

@Mummyme87 thanks. I'm so envious at how you know 100% and wish I was like this. I really do wish you all the luck in the world with a BFP soon xx

TeddyBeans · 26/04/2022 21:48

@allthingssparkly we only DTD twice during my FW and neither of them were around what would probably have been my peak (I didn't take any tests with me when we went to Alton towers and it was negative when we got home) and I just don't have that feeling that it might be possible this month. And I'm still useless at using the fertilily which doesn't help matters

PeanuttyButter · 26/04/2022 21:57

Started my progesterone today and as a result the tww has suddenly slowed right down haha. I ovulated Saturday I think and it being the weekend the time has flown until now. I've got cheapies to pee on as much as I like so will probably start 7dpo (even though I won't see anything). Got a frer for 12dpo and if that negative will probably stop the progesterone so AF can come. Only issue I have is that my nipples are so so sensitive right now, which isn't usually a good thing for me at this stage

lottieb92 · 26/04/2022 22:43

Hi all, back again 😂 Cycle 7 for me.. Baby #2
CD7 and I have been ovualting around CD17/18.. Back on the OPKs and trying hard this month with more vitamins and diet related.. Which should be easy as we have our first holiday for ages. So praying I can get a nice pregnancy test snap on the beach at the end of the month.. If not more margaritas for me xx

LemonZestDribbles · 27/04/2022 11:57

@TeddyBeans it only takes one hanging about. Fingers crossed 🤞

@CoffeePlease89 would be much easier if he just went yes let's do this!

@PeanuttyButter oooh 🤞🤞🤞 it must feel like an age though

@lottieb92 love that - test pic on the beach or more cocktails. Either sounds amazing 😍

Cd11 here opks still faint. This cycle feels like 100 years

MangoLipstick · 27/04/2022 13:13

Hi all,
just jumping over from the April thread.
I’m 7 or 8 dpo but pretty confident I’m out. We didn’t dtd near ovulation day, dh wasn’t well and I was not going try it on. I don’t tell him about ov days, I try to keep some mystery 🤭

Once af arrives , it will be cycle 4 of ttc.
(cycle 12 if I don’t include my mmc in Jan at 12 weeks)

Good luck everyone x

allthingssparkly · 27/04/2022 15:26

Oh no @TeddyBeans fingers crossed for your next cycle 🤞

Is anyone testing this weekend? 😊

tineys · 27/04/2022 17:27

Hello everyone :) have just read through all your stories, mind if I join?

I've been off contraception for 3 years and actively trying for a good chunk and no luck yet. Currently 12dpo and getting a few 'symptoms', aching boobs etc. Don't normally test as find it too disappointing but something feels a little different this month. Test from this afternoon, not sure if it's an evap line that's catching my eye (or none haha), should have probably waited to use fmu!

I have my fingers crossed for all of us 🤞

Hoping for BFP in May
Willow1982 · 27/04/2022 17:40

Hi ladies, hoping it’s ok to join you here, TTC #1, after MC March last year, CD 30 spotting today which always leads to AF, so on to May we go!! Been driving myself so crazy today with false hope!! Good luck to all xx🍀

3rdtimelucky2022 · 27/04/2022 18:25

Hello all!

Im back in the game! Haven’t posted since the first page of this thread as I had a missed miscarriage and was just waiting on first period but it finally arrived. Hoping this is a normal cycle and I ovulate so can give it another shot.

@tineys i definitely can see the start of a line there! Do fmu test tomorrow and give us an update :) will keep fingers crossed!

@CoffeePlease89 @Mummyme87 I’m in a similar position and trying for a 3rd with a 5 and 3 year old already. We were pretty sure we would stick at 2 until a year ago when we got a bit broody again. We said we’d see how it goes and if it doesn’t happen easily then stop at 2. Since then I had a missed miscarriage and now I want a 3rd even more! I’m actually underweight but that’s equally bad for fertility so I need to work on that!

Mummyme87 · 27/04/2022 18:27

Oooh yes I see that line @tineys that’s super exciting after such a long ride. I would get a FRER for tomorrow, and probs a clear blue
