Clearblue Ovulation Test - Flashing Smily Face

Hi

Please can someone help/explain how these tests work, this is the first month we are ttc (we already have a 3 year old) the calendar stated my ovulation was suppose to be on 4th April, I have been taking the tests since 31st March, the first day showed low fertility and since 1st April it's been showing flashing smiley face (6 days) I thought the fertile window was only 6 days including ovulation, does this mean I'm not going to ovulate this month... any help would be great... thank you

I have been texting for 3 months clear blue digital
i am trying to have a boy i have 3 girls already and only want a boy ;) i have had 7 flashing smily faces one this morning again. just now in the evening today i got a static face. i know leg is for 24-48 hours. when is next time to have sex tomorrow night (24 hours after static face) or 36 hours later? my cycles are always short 26 days.
help. !

@anuta22 I don't think there is a lot you can do to control whether it is a boy or girl...

your right hard to make a certain gender. I am just asking regarding LH surge. the static happy means LH surges for 24-48 hours then the empty happy face happens correct. so peak fertility is during this 24-48 hours? I read that 36 hours after ovulation is best time to make a boy. i hope someone can give me information on their experience

@Newbiemg hey I hope you don’t mind me reaching out. You shared a post which hopefully might help me. Basically I want to understand the difference with static smiley face and flashing smiley face. Couple of weeks ago I had to 2 day static face and now for 2 weeks I’m having constant smiley face….hoping you might be able to help? Xx

@SocialPR hey, you aren’t meant to carry on testing after the statics as that is your peak for that cycle. You should then get your period (or not) & then start testing again in your next fertile period

so the flashing face basically doesn't mean I'm at my peak just the static one - goodness thank u again @JulyT

@SocialPR ues, the flashing face detects your estrogen levels which rise before you LH level rises. The static detects the LH surge. Everyone’s estrogen rises at different rates so it tells you when you are coming into your fertile period but could still be anything up to 2 weeks before you peak with LH & then after the static you should ovulate with 24 hours ish

This is me this morning! Flashing on day 10. Praying for a still one tomorrow. Irregular periods, pcos, trying to conceive for 5 years!
