Hi

Please can someone help/explain how these tests work, this is the first month we are ttc (we already have a 3 year old) the calendar stated my ovulation was suppose to be on 4th April, I have been taking the tests since 31st March, the first day showed low fertility and since 1st April it's been showing flashing smiley face (6 days) I thought the fertile window was only 6 days including ovulation, does this mean I'm not going to ovulate this month... any help would be great... thank you Smile

Moosh18 · 21/04/2022 20:10

@HackneyGirl2022 I ovulated on CD30 this month! Long cycles are so so frustrating!!! X

HackneyGirl2022 · 21/04/2022 22:35

Sorry I'm new to Mumsnet and don't know all the abbreviations yet lol 🙈

I took a clearblue pregnancy test on Tuesday and it said not pregnant but I may have done it too early xx

@HackneyGirl2022 it's a pregnancy test, what Cd did you start testing with Cb? How long are your cycles normally? Xxx

HackneyGirl2022 · 22/04/2022 07:52

@Moosh18 I started testing very early on CD10 as I was going according to the app, my cycles are usually 35+ days.

Is it too early to do a pregnancy test? xx

@HackneyGirl2022 if you've been testing everyday and not seen a peak I'd say you haven't ovulated, it could just be a randomly long cycle! Id keep testing, those cb tests are so expensive! Have you got any of the cheaper strips you can keep testing on? X

HackneyGirl2022 · 22/04/2022 08:04

@Moosh18 I know sooo bloody expensive as I've been buying from boots/Superdrug £27 for 10 tests but I went to Costco the other day and it's £25 for 20 clearblue purple tests, wish I went there sooner.

I did buy the cheap sticks and used a few times, but peeing in the cup and having a naughty toddler in the loo with me was not ideal lol

What's been your longest cycle and did u ovulate on that cycle? xx

Moosh18 · 22/04/2022 09:40

@HackneyGirl2022 I've never not ovulated and had a period, I had. 75 day cycle after my Miscarriage, they now tend to range about 35-45 x

HackneyGirl2022 · 22/04/2022 11:02

@Moosh18 so sorry to hear about your miscarriage 😞

Long cycles are torture, as long as u ovulate every month hopefully there's not too much to worry about xx

@HackneyGirl2022 oh man I'm sorry, I really know how disheartening it can be, I flashed till 30 this time have gone till 34 before though..: do you normally get any symptoms? X

HackneyGirl2022 · 24/04/2022 22:19

@Moosh18 thank u... maybe it's just one of those months, it's just seems longer as this is the first month I'm ttc and tracking days...

So last month when just after my period I had a lot of fertile CM this was only a few days after, is that normal even tho I have long cycles? xx

OP posts:
Moosh18 · 25/04/2022 19:23

@HackneyGirl2022 normally I get fertile cm for about four days before my ovulation, but you can get random patches here and there? X

HackneyGirl2022 · 25/04/2022 20:09

@Moosh18 I will keep an eye on my CM but I will still keep testing as this cycle seems really random lol

Can't believe how much your cycles change after you have a child, last time I conceived like clockwork 🤷🏻‍♀️
