Clearblue Ovulation Test - Flashing Smily Face

Hi

Please can someone help/explain how these tests work, this is the first month we are ttc (we already have a 3 year old) the calendar stated my ovulation was suppose to be on 4th April, I have been taking the tests since 31st March, the first day showed low fertility and since 1st April it's been showing flashing smiley face (6 days) I thought the fertile window was only 6 days including ovulation, does this mean I'm not going to ovulate this month... any help would be great... thank you

@HackneyGirl2022 I think I've got my peak today! Typically seeing as I ran out of digital yesterday!!! My strip tests are positive so I'm assuming this is it 😂 Cd29!!! So this means I'm going to have a 43 day cycle!!!

This is positive right??

@Moosh18 that looks like a positive to me... both the lines are as dark as each other..., I'm so pleased for you 😊😊👍🏼👍🏼

Im so glad u used the cheap sticks as u said u only had only two of the cb ones left.

I'm still flashing again this morning, I think I may be having a long cycle too, are u having any other symptoms of ovulation? xx

@SunshineAndFizz hello.... no I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet, I'm due my period around 24-25th going by a 34 day cycle this month, I think I started testing way too early this month as I didn't have a clue and was goin according to the app... I think this cycle may be longer, I honestly don't know, I'm so stuck 😖

@kmbegs I think I will buy the cheap ones today, I looked at the lines this morning, the control line is strong but the other line is so faint, how often did u use the cheap ones in a day?

I think my cycle is past 35 days this month and how no clue when I'm likely to ovulate, I'm hoping it's over the BH as we are both off lol

@HackneyGirl2022 they are femometer, you can actually get them on prime same day, I test twice a day generally sometimes more 😵‍💫 I really hope this is my peak! What a long cycle

@Moosh18 do u have to pee in a cup to use these ones?

It deffo looks like your peak, the lines are dark.... my lines are not even close lol xx

@HackneyGirl2022 yeah you dip them in a little cup, tbf I do that with the digital anyway

@HackneyGirl2022 I would do once a day but once they started getting darker I would basically do them every time I pee'd! Had a box of hundreds so didn't matter and that worked for me, often my peak would be about 6pm.

I also temp'd so even if I missed the LH surge I would know ovulation was over it my temp went up. It's quite a commitment though and it is more stressful.

@kmbegs I'm gonna Amazon prime the strips today lol I've been checking twice a day with the cb ones and I'm in my 4th box 😩🙈

I haven't been checking my temp, the only thing I've been going by is the sticks although I did see a little CM today... could this mean anything?

If I miss the LH surge will it not show the next I I test as peak? This is the bit I don't understand xx

@HackneyGirl2022 you shouldn't miss the peak testing twice a day a surge lasts 24 to 48 hours.... it depends on cm? It should be like egg whites or wet which indicates fertile xxx

Nothing yet, I've been doin the tests but I think this cycle is very long I'm on CD29 😞

@HackneyGirl2022 long cycles are the absolute worst! I ovulated on CD29 if I did ovulate when I think I did' how long are your cycles normally? Do you temp? X

Tbh I'm not really sure, ever since I had my daughter 3 years ago, my periods have been messed up, I come on between 3-7 days some months heavy some months light and not really tracked how long, this is the first month ttc and using the sticks, I don't temp xx

@HackneyGirl2022 it makes it hard doesn't it! I have a DD, cycles have been messed up since coming off contraception when ttc her!

@Moosh18 I can imagine, it's so hard to keep track that's why I have given up lol

Do u only DTD on ovulation or the few days leading up to ovulation? X

I try to do a few days before and day if they say it's better to actually do it the day before ovulation rather then day of x

@Moosh18 I was doing it nearly everyday and I wasn't even fertile lol

I'm still flashing but the second line looks like it's getting a bit darker as there was hardly anything there before xx

@Moosh18 Cycle Day 31 I'm either having a very long cycle or I'm not ovulating this month 😞
