Hi all! I'm currently 1dpo.. so officially in the last stage of this cycle! I should be due AF around April 19th, which happens to be my birthday! So I'm going to try really hard not to test until then. Anyone else around the same?!

I'm currently 2DPO :)

I usually have a short luteal phase of 10-11days so always start testing around 9DPO which will be the 12th of April.

This is my first cycle since coming off the pill, have one son who's now 5 so it's been a long time since I was in a TWW! Had forgotten how hard it was!

How you feeling?

GeraniumCedarwood · 05/04/2022 08:35

I am 1dpo today too! (I think, had a positive OPK Sunday, cramps Monday and now today CM is no long EW)

Would love to join you both. I am TTC baby number 1. Been a long journey for me with miscarriages and a number of operations on my uterus. Wev'e had some breaks and pauses for recovery, and this is cycle 4 of trying consecutively for a while.

My first ever conceived baby was due Christmas Eve 2018, so it would be special if this cycle does work as it would also be due at Christmas

ArcEnCiel2022 · 05/04/2022 08:47

Hi! I would like to join you, I'm 2 dpo today, planning to test next week around 10-11 dpo...
This is cycle 4 for me, baby number 1, after 2 miscarriages September and December). I really hope this is my month as my due date would be on Christmas as well, which would be exactly one year after my second miscarriage, so that would really special to me!

Graceybaby · 05/04/2022 08:50

@GeraniumCedarwood think I just replied to you on the December thread!

Sounds like you have a tough journey so far, fingers crossed this happens soon for you!

A Christmas baby sounds like it would be so special, hoping this is your month :)

I'm TTC baby no.2 :)

I had a positive OPK Saturday (which continued into Sunday) cramps seemed to be at their peak on Sunday so I'm thinking I ovulated on Sunday.. we DTD Saturday evening and Sunday morning and the last time before that was 5 days prior so I'm just hoping we DTD at the right time.

It's my first cycle since coming off the pill so just trying not to get my hopes up!

Graceybaby · 05/04/2022 08:52

Hi @ArcEnCiel2022

Glad we're getting a nice little group together to share this TWW with :)

Hope this is your month :)

I would be due on Christmas Eve, what a Christmas that would be!

GoT1904 · 05/04/2022 09:09

Yay so many of us! It's my first cycle off the pill too, I was surprised I got my peak OPK so soon tbh.

This is my 4th baby, very much wanted. I have 3 DC with my ex husband, but my amazing partner and I would like just one of our own.

I got my peak OPK on Saturday.. We DTD 3 days before that, and 1 day after. Not the best timing but DP was tired, I'm hoping the swimmers from 3 days before will have stayed around, or my egg will have been waiting for them yesterday lol. Awww my youngest is 6 and her birthday is December. It'd be lovely to have another around then.

I'm feeling really nervous tbh. I usually like to test early, if there's even a sniff of me being pg! Bur DP wants to test together so I'm going to try really hard to wait till the 19th.

... or maybe 18th, haha. So if it's BFN then my birthday won't be so sad lol. I wish I could fast forward already.

Good luck everyone. :D I'm sure some of us will get our BFP's.

I almlst always experience implantation bleeding. I've been pregnant 5 times but have 3 DC. And I'd say 4/5 times ive had implantation bleeding, so I'll be on the look out this time. Xx

@GoT1904 so similar to me, my son is from my previous relationship and I had such a difficult birth with him that I had mentally written off any more children until I met my current OH, we've recently got engaged and he loves and treats my son like his own but I would love nothing more then to extend our family with a baby of our own.

I was shocked I seemed to ovulate straight away too! I was getting complete negatives then out of the blue tonnes of EWCM and a positive OPK! It was positive all day Saturday and still super positive Sunday morning so I'm hoping I definitely ovulated.

Have you found you've been super crampy ? Not sure if it's just because it's the first time I've ovulated in a while but all weekend I've had cramps and really bad lower back pain.

TTCBABYNO2xx · 05/04/2022 09:40

Hey lovely- hope its okay to join I am 7DPO today trying for baby no 2 first cycle since getting coil out. My son will be 2 in June.

this TWW is brutal isn't it 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 xx

GoT1904 · 05/04/2022 12:38

@GraceyBaby it's crazy isn't it?! I had darkening OPK's from CD 8-ish, then my peak on CD 11.. then almost completely negative from then on! I was worried I'd not ovulated too... I guess we will see. I also had very tender nipples and lots of cramps like you. I've never experienced ovulation like this before but probably because our hormones are all over a bit?

@TTCBABYNO2xx ofc you can join!! Are you symptom spotting now you're 7dpo? I think I will drive myself mad these next few weeks lol. Xx

ArcEnCiel2022 · 05/04/2022 12:43

@Graceybaby yes it would be such a lovely Christmas 😊 it's funny because I always thought I wouldn't like to have a baby around Christmas, but now I don't care, I just want a baby haha, and on the contrary I really love now the idea of a Christmas baby!

I got my peak on Saturday, and had really intense ovulation pain the night between Saturday and Sunday, so my due date should be Christmas Eve or Christmas day! I'm counting Sunday as ovulation day to don't be tempted to test even earlier than I probably will 😂

Graceybaby · 05/04/2022 13:24

@GoT1904 Same here, I don't remember ever feeling anything around ovulation before, I never had ovulation pain when TTC my son but I had been off the pill a whole year before TTC previously ..so maybe it is pill related? I'm sure it'll settle down., trying not to read into anything during this TWW.

@ArcEnCiel2022 I'd be more then happy with a Christmas baby, I love the idea of being heavily pregnant around Christmas too.. I'm not much of a drinker so not being able to drink at Christmas parties/christmas meals etc doesn't bother me at all.

I had my first positive mid Saturday morning and it was still very positive on Sunday mid-afternoon so I think my peak test would have been somewhere in between then plus I had a tonne of EWCM on Saturday so I'm thinking I definitely ovulated on Sunday but I was so crampy all weekend I can't pinpoint when exactly.

For those who have been in a TWW before, do you do anything in particular that you always do to try and help implantation, or things you maybe avoid? I do try and eat plenty of pineapple, I'm sure it makes no difference but I love pineapple so it can't hurt! 😂 Two things I've heard lately are the 'warm feet warm womb' theory, if you keep your feet warm its supposed to help? and also another strange one I heard was to spend 15 minutes a day with your legs up against a wall etc to increase blood flow to the uterus? The internet is an interesting place 😅🙈

PrettyPolly92 · 05/04/2022 13:34

Hello please can I join?Smile

1st cycle of loosely TTC baby no.1 🤣

DP has said we’ll just go unprotected and see what happens! He doesn’t want me to track ovulation etc as he thinks it puts pressure on us but I did track on the sly this month but not properly 🙊

Looking at this photo when do you think I would have ovulated? I reeeally wish I’d done multiple tests on Friday (CD13) as I think I’ve missed my peak?

Anyone testing around April 19th? My 2ww is just starting.
PrettyPolly92 · 05/04/2022 13:34

CD14 I mean!

Graceybaby · 05/04/2022 13:42

@PrettyPolly92 I'm not too sure, it does look like your peak was around CD13/14, Did you just do the one test that day? Looks like you tested quite late, peak could have been earlier that morning? Did you have any other ovulation symptoms around that time?

Haha, we started with the same 'if it happens it happens' view but... nope, that was never going to happen, I need to know what's happening! 😅 I tell him when I expect to ovulate and that's it.. he doesn't need to know much else! haha

PrettyPolly92 · 05/04/2022 14:45

I’d had such a busy day I completely forgot to test until that time 🤦‍♀️ this is what I’m hoping happened 🤞🏼

I’m exactly the same 🤣 I like to know dates and although I don’t like to “plan” DTD I definitely sweet talk the DP when I know it’s the right time! 😜

If I did ovulate on CD14/15 I’ll be testing around the 16th hoping for a BFP 🥰

Graceybaby · 05/04/2022 18:04

For some random reason this afternoon I started wondering how big our eggs actually are, I'd never given it much thought before so here we are... 🤣

Egg cell fact #1: The egg is one of the biggest cells in the body.
Eggs are larger than any other cell in the human body, at about 100 microns (or millionths of a meter) in diameter, about the same as a strand of hair. That means you could, in theory, see an egg cell with the naked eye. The fact is that egg cells are about 4 times the size of skin cells—and about 20 times the size of sperm!

GoT1904 · 05/04/2022 18:22

@Graceybaby - I've never done anything during the 2WW!! I am however now going to go and put my slipper boots on haha.

@prettypolly92 welcome!! That's a positive on CD13 right?! So in theory your egg will have been released on the 14th.

My DP just wants to go unprotected and not track ov either. I couldn't help snatching some Wilko's ovulation tests though Hahaha. However cos I've just come off the pill I really had no idea when I'd ovulate, so I wanted to know. But maybe I won't track next month if we don't manage to conceive. I've always caught on the first month of trying before, but I'm 32 now and although I know its not likely I'll always do that, I think part of me still believes I will. So it's gonna be hard if/when I get AF on the 19th.

Also loving the egg facts Gracey Grin

Xxx

@GoT19044 haha yep I've been wearing fluffy socks for the past two days 🤣🤣

How lucky to catch straight away! And how amazing if you did again!!

Wayyy to early for any symptoms but I've noticed in the bath that my nipples are tender.. which is weird for me because I've never ever had sore nipples, even when I was pregnant or before AF it's just something I've never experienced.

Must just be my hormones after the pill maybe but very odd for me..

AmyD54321 · 05/04/2022 21:52

Hi everyone, I'm 1dpo today. Cycle 9 for baby #1. We've been trying for what feels like a really long time now, and so I'm sadly a bit pessimistic now! Will look forward to following along here!

ArcEnCiel2022 · 05/04/2022 22:15

@Graceybaby I've always been able to feel my ovulation since I stopped the pill, long before ttc (something like 5 years ago). I find that really helpful!
I've never done anything in particular during the TWW, but I have read somewhere else about the warm feet, so I will try to keep them warm as well just in case 😂

My partner doesn't have a clue that I'm tracking ovulation, he'd be really surprised I think 😂 we just try to dtd regularly, but I do it because I like to know! I might stop next month, because the past months it has just confirm that I already knew when it was, with the EWCM and the pain!

@GoT1904 I also caught the first month trying for both my miscarriages! I didn't really realise how lucky I was (well, if we can call that lucky as I would rather not being pregnant, than being and losing the baby...). Anyway, now it's cycle 4 and it seems so long...

I will try to ignore any symptoms I could think I feel during the TWW, because the 2 times I've been pregnant I didn't have any symptom at all, while the last 3 months I had a lot of "symptoms" but got a BFN!

ArcEnCiel2022 · 05/04/2022 22:17

Hi @AmyD54321 I can't imagine how long it must feel for you after 9 months, I really hope you'll get lucky this month!

Sarahmayo · 05/04/2022 23:36

Hi all, I am just starting my 2WW, cycle 4 off TTC after MMC in December. AF due on 18th for me, was my birthday on Saturday so I'm hoping for the best birthday present ever. Hope it's ok to join you and sending you all best wishes for BPF this month 🌈🌈🤞🏻

AmyD54321 · 06/04/2022 07:15

@ArcEnCiel2022

Hi *@AmyD54321* I can't imagine how long it must feel for you after 9 months, I really hope you'll get lucky this month!
Thank you, I hope so too! It’s been really difficult to stay positive recently. Fingers crossed for you too!
Graceybaby · 06/04/2022 07:25

@AmyD54321, I can imagine after 9months I would feel like that too.. I was the same with my son and that was only 6months.. I started to not worry or think about it as I was so fed up then it happened so fingers crossed it happens for you soon! 😘

@ArcEnCiel2022, I don't ever remember feeling ovulation when I was off the pill previously but then it was 5 years ago so my memories probably going! 🤣 Definitely felt something this time though, had cramps all weekend 🙈 They've settled now though so sure that's what was causing them.

I'm going to try and ignore all symptoms too, I agree when I got pregnant with my son I had no symptoms at all.. the only symptom I had was implantation pain two days before my BFP.

Hi @Sarahmayo of course! The more the merrier! Hoping you get the best birthday present! 💜

I had a rubbish night's sleep, my son (5) decided to randomly keep waking up all night 🤦🏼‍♀️
One of things we have to look forward too again I suppose!! 🙈🤣

GoT1904 · 06/04/2022 09:19

@Graceybaby I've had really sore nipples too! I don't get them like this ever really. I am thinking the pill must have exaggerated our hormones somehow and made us really feel ovulation.

@ArcEnCiel2022 I'm sorry for your losses, and after conceiving straight away too it must be really hard for you. My best friend has caught straight away and lost 2 babies too, she's on something like CD50 now with no ov, I can't even imagine how hard it is.

Welcome @sarahmayo! And happy birthday :)) when will you be testing? I'm thinking 18th for me.

My nipples are still sore today.. I'm hoping it wears off so that if they get sore again next week I can get excited haha. I might order some FRER so I can test on the 18th.. but I don't know if I'll have the restraint lol. Xx
