Hi all! I'm currently 1dpo.. so officially in the last stage of this cycle! I should be due AF around April 19th, which happens to be my birthday! So I'm going to try really hard not to test until then. Anyone else around the same?!

@GoT1904, me either, I've never had sore nipples! Boobs still tender today too.. ovulation hit us hard! 😂 Hopefully it's a good sign ☺️

I've ordered a load of cheap one-step tests and will buy a couple of clear blue tests if I get a hint of a BFP... don't want to temp fate 🙈😅

GoT1904 · 06/04/2022 09:46

@Graceybaby I am ALWAYS an early tester lol. Its gonna be hard for me to wait but I don't think DP will be happy if I find out without him haha. He wants to find out together. The only way I could get round it is by testing in secret and then doing a cute announcement for him lol. Eeeeeeeeee I wonder if I might do that! Order 2 boxes of FRER and test from 10dpo haha

@GoT1904 I'm really sorry for your friend. CD50... It must be awful 😞 I've been lucky that my cycle post miscarriage was only a bit longer than usual (but I still had positive pregnancy tests until after my first period! I even thought I might be pregnant again).
Good luck for waiting that long if you are usually an early tester 😂 I'm glad DP doesn't ask for that, he won't know when I start testing! I have 5 cheap tests and 3 FRER from last month, I haven't decided yet when I will start testing. Last month I started at 8dpo, but this month I'm thinking maybe 11, but I'm sure I will be tempted before 😅

@Graceybaby when are you planning to test? (Sorry if you already said it)

GoT1904 · 06/04/2022 10:26

@ArcEnCiel2022 its really hard for her. She knows we're TTC and is happy but I know she will be feeling something around it. She has a scan Friday though. I'm really hoping it happens for her soon.

After my last post I hopped on Amazon and ordered 2x boxes of FRER ffs!! But it was only 5.89 for a twin pack in my defence... I also ordered a cup. Its plain white and at the bottom it says "hi daddy" with some little baby feet. I wanna make him a coffee in it and record him when he's near the bottom lol.

Sooooooo I am gonna test earlier turns out haha. I am gonna test at 10dpo, 11dpo, 13 and 14dpo.

I'm preparing myself for this to not be my month. I'm just excited to be on this journey to be honest.

@GoT1904 Same here, there's no way I could hold off until AF didn't arrive.. I want to know asap! I got my positive at 9DPO with my son so I always start at around 8DPO, my LP is only 10-11days so I guess technically it's not testing too early! That's what I tell myself anyway!! 😂

Haha love the amazon impulse buys! Im exactly the same. I've bought a load of cheap one-step tests, will use those and buy a digi test if I get a hint if a BFP. I'd love to be able to test together with my OH but he leaves at silly o'clock in the morning so timing wouldn't be right. If I were to get a hint of a line on the cheapie then I'd buy a digital and we'd do that one together for sure.

Love the cup idea too, that's so cute!! Anyone else have any ideas to announce to OH? Haven't really thought about surprising him like that, might be an option?

@ArcEnCiel2022 I'll be 9dpo on Tuesday so I'll probably test then! Just hoping I make it to that point, this is my first cycle off the pill so I wouldn't be surprised if my body decides to just do something completely different and AF arrive early!

As @GoT1904 said I am just happy to be TTC again, of course I'll be disappointed with a BFN but it's also only cycle 1 so I'd be extremely lucky for it to happen so quickly!

xx

ArcEnCiel2022 · 06/04/2022 13:12

@GoT1904 yes I can imagine how difficult it might be for her... I'm starting to feel a bit better now, but it's still difficult for me to see a baby or a pregnant woman at the moment, as it reminds me what should have been. I hope it will happen for her very soon.
Haha for the tests 🤣 I think I would have done the same!
So cute the coffee cup, I love your idea 😊

@Graceybaby no cute announcement for me unfortunately, we don't want to get our hopes too high again in case it will be another miscarriage.
I will be 9 dpo as well next Tuesday: now that you tell me you will test that day, I'm thinking hmmm I'll probably do the same 😂 I admire people who can wait until late AF, for me it's just impossible to think that maybe I'm pregnant, and I could already know it! No way I can wait! It's true that there is always the risk of a chemical, but if it happens I prefer to know it

Graceybaby · 06/04/2022 14:24

@ArcEnCiel2022 Yay, glad I will have a testing buddy ☺️

Yeah I would never be able to wait, exactly as you said Id just be thinking constantly what if it's positive and I could find out just by testing? I'd also rather test even if it's negative so I can prepare myself that it may not be my month rather then be build myself up to be disappointment.

x

Graceybaby · 06/04/2022 14:25

*to be disappointed

Eagtess3 · 06/04/2022 14:56

Can I join , I’m 3dpo I think and TTC baby number two. My daughter has just turned two x

Graceybaby · 06/04/2022 15:36

Hi @Eagtess3 :)

Of course, I'm also 3DPO. Hope your TWW isn't too torturous xxx

ArcEnCiel2022 · 06/04/2022 16:27

Welcome @Eagtess3 I'm 3dpo as well! 🙂

ArcEnCiel2022 · 06/04/2022 16:30

@Graceybaby exactly like you, seeing the negative tests is always a deception, but at least I find it easier when af arrives as I have prepared myself for it

GoT1904 · 06/04/2022 18:13

Welcome! My friend actually got a squinter on a cheapie today so we are hoping it's the real deal! Exciting.

I'm gonna test on 10dpo first. So 8 days for me :D I'm already driving myself mad this TWW. At least tomorrow its only a week until I can test lol. Xx

Graceybaby · 06/04/2022 19:56

This early stage is horrendous.. too early for symptoms too early for implantation... literally just a waiting game!

Really trying to just not think about it and distract myself but it's impossible!

GeraniumCedarwood · 07/04/2022 07:42

@Graceybaby I know it's a horrible waiting game isn't it. My BBT went down this morning, which feels really disheartening for 3DPO.

This time last month my boobs were so sensitive, and this month I feel nothing so I bit worried about my progesterone levels. I just hope that feeling different at this stage will mean my luteal phase is longer than last month (only 8 days!)

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 07:52

@GraceyBaby I agree!! How many dpo are you now?! I am just 3 lol... testing a week today.

How's everyone doing?? I've just read a post by someone unsure when to have kids, and people posting basically the pros and cons.. and it's worried me haha. Which is silly I know as I have them already. But my youngest is 6 now and they're all so easy to manage, unlike some babies, lol. It makes me so nervous sometimes! Xx

OP posts:
Graceybaby · 07/04/2022 08:45

@GeraniumCedarwood I used to track my BBT when I was TTC my son but decided not to this time round as I found it quite stressful! But try not to feel too disheartened, it may just be a dip and will rise again tomorrow, so many factors can change the temp even slightly!

I only have a relatively short LP too, last time I was TTC it was 10 days and when I started taking a high dose of vitamin C and B6 it increased to 11 then the following month I got my BFP. It will be interesting to what it will be this month post pill.

@GoT1904 I'm 4DPO today, I say I'm going to test Tuesday (9DPO) but I know full well I'll test on Monday because I wont be able to help myself! haha

Boobs are still tender and getting lots of CM still which is annoying, keep getting that 'wet' feeling then thinking Omg please don't tell me I'm bleeding already :( Freaks me out every time.

I saw that post too! I'm in a similar boat, my sons 5 and has just got to that 'slightly easier' to manage stage, he also started school in September which definitely takes the strain off. And I know exactly what you mean, going back to square one is so daunting - I went back and forth about having another baby for quite a while. I think for me because I'm with my new partner now there was more of a reason too, he has no previous children and his so good with my son, I wanted to give him his first child and we both want to extend our family with one of our own. I just had to be brutally honest with myself and know that this is not going to easy at all, it will be hard and I have no doubt there will be tears and pure exhaustion but in the end it will be worth it :)

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 09:11

@Graceybaby I'm like that too with CM!! It's crazy. I've realised that I didn't get a whole lot of it on the pill.

Yeah it's daunting isn't it. I think I'd feel my family was complete if it weren't for wanting a child with DP. I am excited about it but scared. It will be worth it! I'm going to have my hands full though lol. DS is on the autistic spectrum and DP has ADHD so they both require a fair bit of guidance lol.

OP posts:
GeraniumCedarwood · 07/04/2022 09:25

@Graceybaby, thanks for the comfort and reassurance. Do you know what sort of dose you were taking? This month I switched to procieve vitamins which already contain 150mg of C and 10mg of B6 which is above the RDA for both. I have also been eating a lot of citrus fruit and mango.

@GoT1904 yes, the CM can be very annoying. I keep googling different stages to try and learn what might be happening and comparing mine to images I find, which is probably leading to a very strange internet search history!

I also read the post about being unsure whether to have kids. This would be my first one. I used to think I always wanted them certainly, but as I've got older (now 32) I do sometimes question like that OP. I also feel like as a world we are still all but traumatised and grieving the pandemic etc. I wonder if that's making decision making extra challenging.

ArcEnCiel2022 · 07/04/2022 09:29

@GoT1904 I've read that post too! I think when I was 30 I was not ready at all (and also I was with the wrong partner!). Now I'm 37, and I'm more than ready, I know it will change my life, but it's what I want at this stage of my life. But now worried that I waited too long and it might never happen 😔 but well, it has never been a good moment before for many reasons.

I don't track bbt, I think I would if I didn't have to do it while still in bed, because I don't want DP to know I'm tracking ovulation 😂
I never have sensitive boobs (the only times were when I was pregnant, but it started after the TWW), and I don't have much CM either at the moment...

Graceybaby · 07/04/2022 09:54

@GoT1904 Bless, sounds like you have your hands full! I think boys (and men for that matter) always need a lot of guidance! My OH is like having a child honestly.. the two of them together is like having a house full of kids! haha

@GeraniumCedarwood I take 500mg of vitamin C, I just take the dispersible ones from Tesco, they are 1000mg I believe so I just half it. I took the full 1000mg when I conceived my son though so It cant hurt! I also take 50mg of B6 along side my pregnecare vitamins, I wouldn't take anymore then that as I think higher doses can delay ovulation 'apparently' !

Oh god, my search history would make for an interesting read for sure! If my OH saw my phone history he'd think I'd lost it!

@ArcEnCiel2022 It's definitely not too late!! You have just as much chance as the rest of us here..

Yeah the lovely sound of the thermometer beeping in the morning is not a nice wake up call!! haha

On that note what thermometer do people use? does anyone know of a silent once? haha

x

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 10:34

@GeraniumCedarwood my search history too! Hahaha. My CM is creamy atm, which can come after ovulation I've read.

Youre right with the way the world is atm. And I guess it is selfish of us, but I also know I want it, and I wanna live my life how I want to for as long as I'm able to.

Aw @ArcEnCiel2022, you will get your BFP! How long have you been TTC? I would track ovulation too lol. My DP isn't mega keen on it. I don't think he'd mind as such, just he wants our BD'ing to be no pressure and natural, which I understand.

3dpo today. :D first testing in a week. I'm SO impatient!!!! Xx

ArcEnCiel2022 · 07/04/2022 11:01

@Graceybaby same for my search history 🤣 yesterday I was googling something like "which ovary releases better eggs for pregnancy". I was just curious to know if it could be something, because both times I've been pregnant the egg was from my right ovary, and the 3 last cycles I ovulated from the left, and got a bfn. And also when I had a scan in December they told me that my right ovary was bigger than the left. And the answer I found yesterday is that it seems you have more chance to get pregnant from the right side indeed. This cycle I have ovulated from the right side, so I'm feeling a bit more hopeful now 😂

I'd be interested as well to know if a silent thermometer exists!

@GoT1904 I've not been TTC for really long, we started last summer and I got pregnant straight away, then miscarriage at 7 weeks in September. Pregnant again end of October, and miscarriage at 11 weeks on Christmas day... So I know I can be pregnant, and that there is no reason why I won't be again, but a bit worried that I might have bad eggs quality or something like that, causing the miscarriages, and that it could be due to my age.
I'm tracking ovulation with cheap opk, but DP doesn't know, and I don't tell him when I ovulate (I'm just really nice to him around that time 😂). I like to feel in control and know my cycle but I completely understand his view to keep the fun and not feeling the pressure

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 14:10

@ArcEnCiel2022 Aw I'm so sorry for your losses. 11 weeks too :( I bet this has been such a journey for you. I hope you get your BFP this month with a sticky bean.

My FRER arrived today and I instinctively wanted to take one haha. I didn't though! I've stashed them. My app says if I conceive this cycle my EDD would be Christmas day haha. When I told DP this he got really excited and says he hopes its happened lol. Xxxx

ArcEnCiel2022 · 07/04/2022 14:30

@GoT1904 thank you 💞 yes it has been a really difficult time... I'm only starting now to feel better about it, to accept what happened, and have hope again. This cycle I feel quite hopeful, I know we have done what we should in the fertile window, I also feel more relaxed about everything, and I want to see the due date in Christmas as a sign! But I'm also trying to get ready for another deception in case that's still not for this month!
Haha yes don't waste your FRER yet! I've been tempted this morning to use one of my cheap tests, but I didn't hopefully 😂
