I have created a new thread as the previous one is about to fill up. I've tagged some of us here, but apologies if I have missed anyone.

@thislittlebird ordinarily AF would be due the day I had transfer! Or two days later given they manipulated my cycle.

I think all of my friends who want kids have done so now. But I've seen two of my best friends go through IVF and others struggle with miscarriage and in one case full term stillbirth so it's only a few that have had it 'easy'. I've never been desperate desperate - I just wish there was a way of knowing it'll happen some point so we push on or if someone could say it'll never happen I think I would be ok with that. It's the uncertainty.

Best of luck @Alexis7890 , you will be fine. Are they giving you ICSI? If you're after a supplement for him DP has been taking Proceed - seems to have v good reviews.

We've just booked Friday and Saturday nights away. I need a distraction. So I'll probably test Friday morning - I feel day 10 will give me an accurate result.

@Sofasogood1 i wasn’t ever desperate either so I know what you mean. I feel more desperate now it’s not a thing I can’t do, potentially.

I think one of my friends had issues with miscarriage but I don’t think any of the others had issues conceiving at all.

I know what you mean about the distraction. We really must get the house done next weekend, which is something.

10 or 11 days to test is what my clinic told me, when is OTD for you?

@Sofasogood1 that hasn’t been mentioned just letrozole for up to 6 cycles, injectables for up to 6 cycles and then ivf if they don’t work. We’re going through the nhs so not sure if it’s something they would offer? Or would that come up later on if things aren’t working? Their main focus is getting me to have a menstrual cycle, his count was 288m but only 1% normal so very high count but low percentage. I’ll put him on anything if it could help!!

@Alexis7890 sorry my brain is mush right now, I'm not sure I'm following. I guess I don't think there's harm in any supplements. You can buy proceed yourself and a urologist recommended it to dp who also had 'abnormal' sperm. Anything you do to improve sperm takes 3+ months to take effect so if you are going to do anything best start now. Also alcohol, smoking, drugs etc not good obviously and again quitting needs 3+ months to make a difference. We never managed to completely quit the booze.

@thislittlebird they've said OTD is '14-16 days' after transfer so a week tomorrow!! Which seems so much longer than what everyone else has been told. I'll have a go on day 10.

@Sofasogood1 was it a day 3 or day 5 embryo? Maybe that explains some difference in OTD wait. Mine weirdly says test on May 2nd and then again in 7 days if negative 🤨. I’m pretty sure it won’t suddenly become positive after a week, my period would come first.

@thislittlebird day 5, although I think the embryo was actually frozen on day 6!

I'm back again, I was here for a while before.

Sadly I miscarried over the weekend after 11 weeks 😢 it was brutal and I'm still going through it.
DH and I had been trying for 20 months and had been just about to start IVF when we conceived naturally.
It'll take a while for my body to recover and then I can give the fertility clinic a call and decide next steps.
Really hoping my rainbow baby can come soon. Xx

@JeanieJ I'm so so sorry. it's bloody awful to lose a pregnancy.

I don't think you and I knew each other before on this thread but I also have prior experience of an 11 week loss. You're welcome to message if you'd like to x

@JeanieJ that’s such crap news, sorry to hear you’re going through that. I can’t imagine how rough it is, and especially when you’ve got that far.

My cycle has been cancelled because my lining isn't thick enough it was only 5mm. I now have to wait for my period and she wants to see it looks on my natural cycle and try different things. I don't know why but I'm in tears 😢

I had to have a D&C as it was incomplete & the other options weren't viable as I'd lost too much blood.
When I conceived, I had just done my long IVF chat, so I called them after my positive test & they said the funding is still there for me if something bad happens.
I'll call the fertility clinic to ask them what the process is and maybe I'll feel ready to start again in about 2 cycles ... who knows 🤷🏻
I'm sorry to see some familiar faces are still here on this long road & am praying everyone gets to have their little ones soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻💕💕💕

@Tillybabs I’m sorry to hear that. It’s totally expected to be upset. I did natural and was so worried they’d cancel throughout, you’re absolutely entitled to be upset. Natural might work better for you if oestrogen isn’t helping your lining, I have a friend on another thread who had a similar issue and she does natural now. Fingers crossed the next cycle flies round and you can start again soon. X
